Impress me: (300 words or less) Kali is in love with everything about the night sky. She dreams one day of finding a special little bean to share her heart with, and she wants to snuggle close and watch the stars go by one night with them. All the colours, the sparkles, everything about the sky just fascinates Kali. On her birthday, she climbs up to her favourite stargazing spot, and sees if she can catch a glimpse of a shooting star. If she does, she knows her birthday was special.
She also dreams she can fly. One of her favourite memories is of her jumping out of trees and pretending she can fly, before landing on the ground, and scurrying back up. At night she dreams she can fly up to space, and touch all the stars one by one, making a wish each time. Then she would take one back down to earth, and share it with everyone she loves.
Kali also loves running, of course. She loves chasing birds, following them, and watching them soar in the sky. She also loves racing her friends, challenging herself, etc.
This bean also really loves the idea of “freedom”. She hates being stuck in small spaces. Honestly, she just loves being able to go wherever she wants, and run around freely and happily.
Kali really does not like, as mentioned before, being stuck in small spaces. She is quite a claustrophobic bean, and if she’s in, say, somewhere like a lift or a small cave, she will usually start to panic after a while. As her friends say, “She likes the space to stretch out.”
Even though Kali can be wild, she is truly a very quiet bean around those she isn’t familiar with. But she just needs some love until she opens up.

the world began again, spinning. instinct started me to my feet, claws tearing into the soft meadow-grass below. tense, my mother would've murmured into the breeze. tense. blinking huge, sleep-clouded eyes, i darted through the foliage, searching intently for the creature
that had unsettled me. i felt the little child i was so long ago as i pounced at the brightly colored flowers, thinking so foolishly they were the eyes of wild beasts. i shuddered at the word. wild. it was a bad thing to feel fear, my mind scolded. and then, turning another bend in the maze of grasses, a keen set of eyes settled on me. silence grew between us, other than the
swift staccato of my heart. wild echoed through me. yet, i was wild too. wild, and brave. the last words she had whispered rocketed through me, filled with pain and things unknown but never forgotten. nobody can forget learning how to live. i convinced myself to take a small step forward, gazing at the animal before me. it seemed a bit familiar, somehow, like a twin of someone i once
knew ... following the curious creature's startling, bright eyes as they registered me, I twisted to look at myself. and found stripes and spots spread in a wild pattern, just like the little cat. "the same." the kitten padded closer to me and, as if seeking warmth, pressed against my side. alarmed, i glanced away
from the tiny figure. brave. i need to be brave. and then,reluctantly,
i pressed closer, seeking warmth. no, not warmth, i admitted. seeking hope.
