You're probably thinking this is a random quote, but actually Anora has a specific reason for saying this. Other kias question why Anora wears those glowing beads. They often ask is it for good luck? Or does it have symbolic meaning? Anora tires of answering these same questions over and over again so she simply replies with this quote because those beads will only be truly meaningful to her, so why bother telling someone who cannot understand this. If she were to explain the meaning of these beads, that does not make the beads meaningful to the others unless they can somehow understand it. After all, the reason his self-appointed name means "Remember Only Yesterday" is because every day when he wakes up, everything seems fine with the world, and then he remembers. Every morning it felt like it was 'only yesterday' Memento was laughing with his brother and his parents, 'only yesterday' he had a home and a family and a future. But every time he remembers, and as Aeschylus said, he feels the pain of joy he knows he likely will never have again amplifying his current suffering and grief in every way. So after living a life of family and community, he had to live a life of hardships, out on the streets. Of course, he was the only one who knew what he was missing, and so he was the one who suffered the most. Perhaps that's the reason why Aeschylus' quote connects so much with Memento; he had a great life, and now he lost it. He went from the top to the bottom, fast, and simply knowing how happy he was before just shows him how pitiful his life is now. But he lives with it, and maybe that's enough.

This quote fits Castors life more than anyone would ever know. When he was young he was well loved and respected around the community. But there was one Kiamara who managed to do everything better, to prove themselves more. There name? Pollux. Throughout life Castor was regarded as the second most impressive, second best. But one day there was an accident, Pollux was killed, and Castor had to step up into his footprints. He had to become Pollux to keep the community together but refused and was banished.

Oddly, fitting with his name and the quote! Castor is a stargazer, he likes nothing more than watching the skies, he is alone, but he knows that he was never second best. They should never have been compared and should have been there own people, or Kias.
