. Yes, Monterey as in
He just really reminded me of that beach, it's a very beautiful place. monterey Bay is a very large area and there are several beaches there, each one special in it's own way. The Monterey aquiriam too is very amazing, along with wonderful views from many of the buildings near the seaside. Overall Monteray is a beautiful place that I thought of when i saw this bean. Of course this little guy would have nicknames, for example,
Before you make your way onto the rest of my form I ask that if you haven't already that you play Rey's song, please. It would enhance the experiance by a bit. Thankyou, and good luck to everyone! <3
any other way.
His Hobby? The Bottles, let me explain with a brief story"He's a strange one alright," They would whisper in hushed tones,
nodding and glancing here and there as if they really cared whether or
not the boy could hear them.
Sometimes it hurt to hear such things, to hear the whispers and laughs,
but usually it just made him laugh.
Why did they such things about the boy? Well let me begin from the start.
The boys name was Monterey. He was a small bean, not very old yet
but wise as you could imagine. He had a sandy colored pelt with cool blue
markings like the sprays of mist from the ocean. He had pale pink eyes
that were full of wonder and joy and courage.
He was not like the others from the start, he was always a little sideways,
some would say only half full. But Rey didn't think half full was a bad thing.
If he was only half full then didn't that mean he still had a whole half's worth
of space left to fill with knowledge? Well the others thought otherwise.
Anyway, this little bean, he was a little odd. Everyone could tell but never
had the proof that was needed to initiate the mocking. One day Monterey
gave them the reason to mock.
The young boy walked out onto the soft sandy beach, pink clawed paws leaving
imprints in the ground. He walked and walked, walked straight into the ocean.
Everyone stepped outside to watch with gaping mouths as the ocean-like
colored bean kept walking despite being knee deep in salty blue water. Some
spectators chuckled and tossed stones at him, saying things like,"
Get outta
the water idiot boy, din't yer mama tell ya to stay outta the water?" At first
Rey ignored it, but after some time he had to reply. He simply said,"
What
I am doing is nothing but a drop in the ocean." His words were met with an
eruption of laughter and cheers. But Rey didn't care.
Soon enough Monty was standing in the water that now climbed up his neck and
every so often jumped up to lick his face and send salty liquid across his head.
The bean looked like nothing more but a part of the ocean and so the spectators,
now bored, all began to lazily head home, calling out a few more slurred insults
before packing their things.
Rey slowly bent down and picked up an object. A bottle. A blue tinted bottle with
a pale shell trapped inside along with some of the oceans water.
Then he carried it back, carried it out of the water, up the beach, and away from
the people.
Everyone just stared.
Monty tied the bottle by the neck and hung it from an old twisting tree. The light
filtered through the bottle and danced on Montereys face, making him smile.
So, as you can tell, Monty likes to collect bottles that he finds and hang them on
his tree. He believes each bottle has a story but he only adopts special bottles. Rey
treats the bottle as if they aren't inanimate. He spends countless hours just cleaning
and examining bottles that he finds. He tries to unlock his secrets and all the secrets
as well as other facts about the bottles are kept in a book he calls his bottle log._________________________ Do you think we could ever turn back time someday?
It seems as if...a few pages of Rey's bottle log have fallen, and look over
there-there's the cover of the book. Hmm, we should return these to him,
should we not? But first...one peek at the book would not hurt, right? The Cover;; It's a bit old and scuffed up,
isn't it? Look at the stamps and stickers on it, from different countries I believe.
Well he hasn't traveled at all, this must be the book his father gave him!
Oh yes, I remember now. Rey was given this silly old book by his father,
his father traveled quite a bit, or so it seems. The old bean had covered
the book in his passion, traveling, and so Rey filled it with his passion,
bottles.
A Page...Or two;; Oh my, look, a
few pages have fallen out. They're a bit messy, hard to read, but I think I
can read the hand writing anyway. Lets see....oh....his first bottle? And his
nineteenth? Hm, that's odd, I'd never think of a bottle this way, would you?
But now it seems different, doesn't it? He's filled this book with pages and
pages of information on these bottles. Silly little boy.
