it was a stormy night, and she'd tucked her kids away into bed already. incarse was sitting on the couch and reading a book next to a lantern's light, gazing intently at the words. rou smiled softly and kissed his forehead before slipping her jacket and boots on. she had work to do.

she walked to her garden outside and crouched down at each plant, ensuring that they were doing okay. some of them were blown over by the wind, and rouzhi had to use sticks to upright them. they were all heavily watered by the rain, and she hoped that they would survive. these were her ancestors and incarse's ancestors for all she knew.

after walking around to each and every one of the plants, rou headed back inside her house. she dripped and shivered on the place-mat until incarse approached her, wrapping her in a warm towel. sighing heavily, she nuzzled him with her wet, cold nose and laughed quietly when he made a face at her.

she stripped off her wet clothing and dried off her fur, taking a fluffy blanket before curling up beside incarse.

xxx"My best feature? Hmm, well, I don't know. I guess my best physical feature would be my hair. Most would probably think it's an ugly shade of green, but I quite like it. It's also very unruly, which represents me inside and out I'd say. It's also short, which I prefer. Short hair doesn't get in the way as much, and isn't as unbearable to have in the Australian heat.
xxxAs for my best personality feature, I'd say that's my open-mindedness. I usually can see from the perspective of another Kalon's opinion, and don't have a problem with someone thinking differently from me. As long as they don't try to force me to change my views, then I'm fine with theirs. This is part of the reason I don't mind meeting new people, and it's just a part of me being extroverted."

She always wondered on and off whether she was truly a worthy queen or not, but in the end Mei could not help but assure herself that no matter what, she would try her best. These words of reassurance were always good enough for her to scrape any insecurities away, even if only for a short while. Mei is confident in the fact that her best aspect is her level-headedness. Without the clog of emotions taking control over her actions, she uses her brain to dictate her royal duties and do them well. She never acts out of anger or spite, though will take all sides and points of view into consideration for her roll. She never declares or ends war, or even says a single word without heavy thought, and the clarity in her actions is what makes all the difference. In Mei’s eyes, an emotional leader is a leader who is simply waiting for a revolution.

Momo's a pretty humble guy, so when asked what he likes best about himself, he gets a little shy. He will tell you eventually, though, that he considers his fur coloration his best feature.

Max Oliver likes his fur because it's bright and has lots of features. It's not too complex, in his opinion, but rather just fancy enough to be considered 'pretty' by others. He's a big fan of being groomed-- he likes to watch how his fur colors blend together and how the ombré shifts when styled differently. And while he is a big, tough adventurer, he also thinks his heart shaped patches are cute.

Momo has been complimented on his fur, too, which helps him love it more. He's been told that his rainbow colors make others smile or be a little bit happier, which always delights him to hear. He's been told his paint horse-style white reminds people of their pets or of how they picture unicorns. The pets thing is a little odd to hear sometimes, but it usually leads to him getting to see pictures of dogs and other cute animals, so he doesn't mind. The unicorn comparison has only been made once or twice, but he treasures that comment.

Sera’s best physical feature, he thinks, would be a close tie between his eyes and his hair. His eyes are a lovely shade of blue and are very expressive. Even though he can’t see it himself, it’s very easy to read Seraphim’s emotions through his eyes, even if his facial expression or words say something different. His hair is also one of his greatest joys, he takes immensely good care of it and never fails to make sure it’s always in tip top shape. Being a prince, image is everything, and he definitely keeps a wonderful image. Whether his hair is down or expertly braided up into a beautiful updo, the young prince never fails to impress with his silk black locks and bubbling blue eyes.

His non physical features that he adores greatly would likely be his patience. Sera has patience that is unmatched, chasing after people and dreams that take months to even show a bit of progress. His relationship with Florence is a true test of his patience, as chasing after the prince has proven to be a very difficult task. The other prince blatantly ignored all his efforts to court for such a long time, but Sera is patient and persistent, and eventually broke through to Florence and reaped his long time coming rewards.
