Since Licorice has became an apprentice life has been hectic to say the least. For starters her fathers finally remembered how to talk like adult cats should and actually became mates and she’s been allowed to go off and have fun on her own sometimes. Licorice has been bouncing around like crazy exploring the entire clan three times over in like 3 days. Though it’s kinda boring to explore the clan over and over and over. There isn't anything that fun around and there isn't anyone to explore with, other than Fido who's been glued to Morris's side and while Licorice love her dad he isn't much fun. Today she decided she wasn't going to just walk around the clan again and be bored out of her mind, no today she was going to have fun. She waited patiently for Morris and Fido to head off on their little hunting patrol, more like a date but Licorice wouldn’t say that to them, and then she snuck off on her own exploration her tail flicking behind her as she bounced through the grasses climbing over fallen logs before she focuses on collecting herbs for the clan. She crept through the grasses nose to the ground trying to find anything that she could bring home and show off to her fathers when they got back from their patrols.

Though the last few weeks had been filled with happiness and change, Licorice was itching for some adventure. And so, with her two fathers busy, Licorice decided to exit the camp on her own adventure, padding through the grass, and weaving between each obstacle before her. After a few moments, her stomach began to grumble, and with a curious grin, she began to forage. She parted a set of bushes, and within sat several deep purple berries.

"Ooo!" Licorice said, leering down before grabbing a mouthful in her mouth. However, what she was met by was a bitter taste, and she immediately spat the berries out. However, her tongue was already stained blue, and she began to gaze around, looking for any source of water. That was, until, she began to feel a little... off. [-5% HP to Licorice!]

As she padded forward, she found herself by a small creek, gently lapping at the water before she collapsed. A few minutes passed, and soon, Morris and Fido emerged from the tree line, an audible gasp emerging from Fido's maw.

"LICORICE!" Fido quickly ran to her side. Fido inspected her carefully, as Morris looked around for the source, his eyes meeting the squashed berries.

"She ate something poisonous. We need to get her back to the camp."

Highwater Refugees

As Doe hobbled alongside Sky, she couldn't shake two feelings - one, that she was grateful the molly beside her cared so much, and had just saved her, and two, the feeling that she was being watched. Her muscles must've shifted, because after a moment of silence, Sky spoke.

"Doe, are you okay? In a lot of pain?" She asked gently. Doe sighed quietly.

"I may be just.. disoriented? I feel like we're being watched." Sky quickly stopped padding forward, which caught Doe off guard, who stumbled forward. Sky, instinctively, swooped down, dipping her head beneath Doe's chin to catch. "Ya alright?" She cooed, looking up at Doe, who nodded gently. "Glad I'm not the only one with that feeling."

Sky and Doe peered around for a moment before Sky's gaze met a pair of yellow orbs observing from the distance.

It was the brown cat whom had run off previously. Sky warily stared forward before turning her attention back to Doe. "Is that the cat you were chasing after?"

"Yeah... it is. I wonder why they turned back." Doe huffed out, visibly wincing as she shook one of her legs, some mud flying out from it.

Due to a death in my family, as well as my internet currently being out, the explore responses initially expected on March 18th are currently delayed. I'm not sure when I will be able to reply next. As such, please read the below.

Doefoot stiffened and her hackles raised as she glared at the mysterious brown cat, who gazed at them warily from across the road. “You!” She barked, which made the other cat flinch and tense, as if they were about to dart off once again. “Oh, sure, run off again!” Doe snapped sarcastically, “But I’m not going to chase after your sorry pelt this time!”
The other cat’s ears flicked back as if offended, and they paced forward a step. “Well, excuuuse me for caring- I came back to make sure you were okay!” They drawled with a very unfamiliar accent. Doe looked startled that they spoke, but opened her mouth no doubt to shoot back some other scathing remark.
Skyfire quickly jumped between the two that were advancing on one another, raising her tail high. “Woah now- let’s all calm down,” she pleaded, and Doe grunted but relented, relaxing her puffy fur. “Pardon us- erm. Who are you? And why did you run away earlier?”
The stranger eyed Skyfire up and down with an intense stare, before sniffing, apparently deeming her worthy of an answer. “Name’s Brack. And… Well, let’s just say I’m not from around here. You were strangers to me, why should I stop and talk? I didn’t know if you were hostile. I just circled back after I heard the commotion.”
“Brack?” Doefoot interjected with a giggle, “What kind of silly name is that?”
Skyfire shot her a dirty look and the brown cat scowled, hissing “It’s short for Brackish Water, you-”
“Okay!” Skyfire put a paw on the stranger’s chest and they looked at her in bewilderment. “Hello, Brackish Water. I’m Skyfire. So you’re lost? You should come with us- we can offer you a safe place to sleep and food, until you can get your bearings and find your way home.”
“Puh-” Doe looked at her in protest, but Sky stepped in front of her to shush her soft, smiling sweetly down at Brack.
Brackish Water eyed her suspiciously for a moment, before slowly nodding. “Alright. Take me to your camp.”

Crow had chosen to spend the day asleep in his nest- claiming bad knees and a sore back, and snapping at Tinderpaw that he would understand once he got to be his age. Tinder had a sneaking suspicion however that it had something to do with how demoralizing their herb gathering sessions had been. He was happy though, because that meant he got to spend more time with his friends.
Trotting over to Dove who was laying in a sunny spot, he grinned and offered them a sprig of lavender. “For you, mi’lady,” he purred, and Dove laughed softly, sniffing the flower.
“Thank you, good sir. What a beautiful flower- And this is supposed to heal me how?”
Tinder froze awkwardly, going “er- well, it smells good!” That got another bright laugh out of her, and he blushed. “It can help you open your airways, and help you relax. Plus, it- it matches you,” he mumbled.
Dove nibbled at the purple florets, sighing softly. “Thank you. But honestly, I could use anything other than more relaxation- I’m so bored around here, I've been alone most of the time. I feel almost better- I really want to go out and do something.”
Tinderpaw frowned softly, sitting next to her. “I’m sorry.” He thought about it for a moment as she looked at him hopefully, before saying “Well, as your doctor, I can't recommend that you leave before you’re really better. But, as your friend,” he looked at her mischievously, “I say we go out for a walk and see what we can get up to.”
Dove purred with excitement, jumping up. “Yes! Maybe you can show me where you get those flowers. We’ll be back before Doctor Tinder even notices,” she winked.

After Licorice was found after eating a batch of poisonous berries her fathers gave her the sternest lecture she’s ever gotten, which isn’t saying much but still, even Fido was telling her off about it. The Toms were scared out of their fur by finding her collapsed, they both knew they cared for her, sure, but they didn’t realize quite how much they truly did until they thought they were going to lose her. Fido had carefully packed her limp body back to camp, stopping every few feet to set her down and make sure he didn’t hurt her while Morris’s fur bristled at every noise, his protective instincts through the roof. It took hours for the Toms to get their daughter home and when they finally got her into a bed of moss their worry just got worse seeing their little one so uncomfortable in her sleep. Licorice had always been a sound sleeper, even when she was still a hyper kitten she slept like a log, seeing her ears pulling back and her constant shifting to attempt to get comfortable was tearing her fathers up. Through the night they took shifts sleeping curled around her protectively while the other took watch making sure Licorice didn’t need anything at all. The second her eyes opened again both of her fathers let out the softest meows they’d ever voiced in their lives. They refused to leave her side even as she chirped that she was feeling better, she was too important to risk leaving.

The patrols were put off for days neither Tom leaving her side for even a second making sure she had all the food she could possibly eat and actually carrying her to and from the stream, not letting her walk at all. Licorice was fine; she barely ate any of the berries but Licorice was having an extremely hard time convincing her fathers that. They’d spent the time watching her and absolutely babying her, she eventually just gave up and let them since fighting them wasn’t helping her at all. When her fathers finally decided to head off on patrols together again they made Licorice promise to not head off anywhere and if anyone or anything showed up at the clan she was to find somewhere safe and not let them notice her. They took way longer to leave and she ended up having to promise about 800 times for Morris to finally drag Fido off, but Morris too was extremely hesitant to leave Licorice alone.

A very beautiful Asain landscape filled with mountains. Thick forests, rivers, lakes, ponds and minimal structures. Most of the structures on the land are wooden, small and square in nature. Many of them placed alongside a small thin river that has been built over with simple bridges and docks for fishing. At the base of one of the mountains a large plateau sits a castle, an emperors building tall and mighty. Made of wood, painted red, and black, with gold accents. Stone steps, and beautiful ornate statues.

The felines of this clan live in the courtyard of this castle, and are owned by the emperor of this land. Or rather they own these humans. All cats are treated like royalty and are allowed to come and go as they please.

Hi there! I've been given permission by the rest of staff to be a secondary writer on top of my artist duties, helping with event storytelling like I did for valentines- and claiming a clan!

Licorice, reluctantly, kept her promise. Though she felt bad for how much her fathers were worrying about her, she felt even worse that she was stuck in the camp. As she watched the two toms saunter out, she huffed, laying on her stomach as her paw dragged across the dirt in front of her boredly.

"Do you think she's alright back there?" Fido asked, peering over his shoulder as they continued to pad away from the camp. Morris, with a soft sigh, nodded his head.

"She'll be fine. She's fiery and has Vinny. I think she feels bad about how tense we all have been." Morris mumbled regretfully, which caught Fido's attention.

"We just want what's best for her, and I think she knows that."

"Hopefully." Morris said before padding ahead. Something in him felt guilty, despite the fact that he wasn't responsible for Licorice's incident with the poison.

Fatherhood is certainly challenging.

Doctor - no, friend Tinder and Dove had made their way out of the camp. Tinder had let Dove go ahead, but noticed she left behind the pieces of lavender. He gently picked up the purple flora in his maw and moved after them, the two wandering about.

"Are you... feeling alright?" Tinderpaw asked, subtly turning his head to force the lavender beneath Dove's nose, which made her laugh.

"I'm fine, really. I was more likely to die from boredom in the camp than anything else."

It took a lot for Tinderpaw not to revert to doctor mode, and with a soft sigh, he withdrew the flower. "Alright, I believe you. But I don't want to get in trouble - if Crow finds us, you're taking the fall."

"I guess that's only fair." Dove's gaze then shifted, her tail twitching at a sound - the sound of familiar voices.

"I... think I hear Sky and Doe." Dove commented.

"Yeah, they went on patrol together some time ago. Probably just turning back. I don't think they'll mind if we say hi, come on." Tinderpaw stepped ahead of Dove, guiding her towards the voices until they rounded a rock. Sky and Doe quickly noticed the two, their expressions visibly lighting up.

"Dove! Are ya all better?" Doe gasped excitedly. Sky stood more back - as though she still felt guilty about what had happened. Dove noticed, and smiled.

"I'm just fine. I was just telling Tinderpaw I was super bored in the camp."

"Yeah, it isn't too terribly fun there, huh?" Doe said with a laugh. "Oh, guess I should introduce you to someone."

Brack soon emerged from behind the two cats. "I'm Brack. Short for Brackish Water, before you ask like this one did."

With a grumble, Doe turned away, and Sky meekly spoke up.

"We uh... also need to show you guys something else."

Tinderpaw's nose twitched - and for a moment, he ignored the scent. That was until Sky ushered the group to follow, and when they rounded a corner, there was a basket...

And 4 abandoned kits within.

The Nest

Hidden away within the snowy mountain ranges lives The Nest, a group of reclusive cats. They do not live following a "normal" clan setting, preferring a looser style of social organization. The Nest, also often referred to as The Flock, follows the every word and command of their guides.

The groups lives are controlled by two things: The stars, and The Birds. They follow the stars, believing that they hold the secrets to their future, and believing that a few select cats have the power to read the stars. The Birds, however, are a much more dangerous force, constantly threatening the safety of The Nest as a whole.

The Nest inhabites an unexplored island, hidden away within an unnamed ocean. The group spends the majority of their time within the snowy mountain peaks of the North, but can often be found traveling down to the beach borders of the South. Their Base is set within the mountain peaks, filled with tall cliffs and sharp drops. A dark forest, filled with prey and predators alike, seperates the mountains from the beach, and is commonly utilized for its resources.

- Snakes (common) - Can be either venomous or non-venemous
- Mountain Lions (uncommon) - Very common to find, but are unlikely to initiate conflict. They are skittish, and more likely to run than fight.
- Mountain Goats (common) - Extremely aggressive and common to find. Will almost always initiate conflict, and will chase cats. Both their horns and their hooves can be deadly.
- Brown bears (rare) - Rare to find, extremely dangerous.

- Avalanches - Can occur anytime between the beginning of fall until the end of spring. Usually occur with little to no warning, and are extremely deadly.
- Snowstorms - Extremely common in the winter. Will start with little to no warning, burrying the world in snow.
- Flooding - Occurs in the spring when the snow first begins to melt, and during the summer after heavy rains. Very common. Rarely occurs during winter, but are possible.
- Mudslides - Very common, usually occurs after flooding or periods of heavy rain.

- Forest Fires - After long periods of high heat and no rain, deadly forest fires rip through the forests. They don't usually affect Base due to its placement, but will destroy the surrounding and lower areas.

The Birds are not normal birds. While they do have common, normal sized, birds flying throughout the island, The Nest's main focus is on The Birds. The creatures, almost four times the size of an adult cat, have glossy black feathers and beady black eyes. They have razor sharp talons and beaks ending in spikes. They are bloodthirsty creatures, always looking for food, and strong enough to carry off a full grown cat as younglings.

Thankfully, The Birds aren't usually too much of a threat. They spend the days sleeping in The Gorge at the bottom of the mountain, and only leave at night to hunt. They are also well managed by The Nest's Birdkeeper, who feeds the creatures with extra prey each night. By now, the only cats who get caught are the ones unlucky enough to be out alone at night, on the odd night that The Birds hadn't fed enough. However, a few cats swear they have seem them active during the day more recently...

The Nest has a strange, almost cult-like relationship with The Birds. The cats both fear them and look up to them. Some believe they are gods, all powerful and all knowing. Some believe they are demons, sent to steal and punish those who have failed. And some believe that they are just normal birds, but slightly bigger. No one know who is right, but they all know one thing: The Birds are hungry.

- While members of The Nest usually have two names, it is very uncommon to hear them referred to as both. Using full names is largely reserved for speaking to someone of a higher status, or for formal ceremonies.

The Frozen Leaf

Hidden in the snowy mountain cliffs inside an old mine lies the clan "The Frozen Leaf". Where the higher you can climb the mountain the higher your rank. The one's at the bottom of the mountain fallow every command of those on top even if they have never met them before.

The clan prides them self in working together but don't take outsides very well. They believe that the path of nature has already been lay out for every cat before there even born to walk the lands.

Setting

They live in a land the humans left long ago due to the cold. It once was warm area but all that's left is thick forests and mountains that had seem to appear overnight. It's quite common to come across an old town from time to time the only thing that lives in those anymore those are animals.

The mountains are filled with cliffs and caves that stretch all along the mountain range. The higher you go up the mountain the colder it gets and the more dangers it becomes.

Natural Disasters

Avalanches - When it gets warm, and the snow starts to melt
or when there too much snow in an area and everything just
falls apart.
Snowstorm - The cold winds bring the sky into a white painting.
Rainstorm - Were water and light dance in the night.
Hailstorm - Ice starts to fall from the sky. Sometimes it almost
as big as a golf ball.
Flash Flood - It does not take much for the snow to melt.
Mudslide - Often happen as a result of a rainstorm or
flash flood.
Sinkhole - There's a lot of caves.
