Jason fidgets a bit, not sure how he's supposed to introduce himself to the others when he doesn't speak. Luckily, he spots a familiar device laying out on a nearby table. Voices' vocal translator! Surely the Grey wouldn't mind if he borrowed it for just a few minutes right? Though, even if he did mind, would he really try to square up against him? Jason didn't think so. Voices, for as chaotic and poorly thought out his decisions may be sometimes, did seem to have a decent sense of self-preservation about him. Most of the time, anyway. He picked up the piece of technology and held it to his neck, similar to how Voices would have it bucked there.

When it got close to his neck the device suddenly crackled to life, startling Jason and making him jump. The device let out a deep-voiced "AAA!" Jason looked out to the crowd watching, and they seemed just as spooked as he was about it. Jason began signing his introduction, working on the assumption the device was functioning correctly.

"My name is Jason Voorhees. I came here from my home Crystal Lake. I am here to learn how to make and program robots. That's why I have come to this class again, at least." The voice eminating from the device was far deeper and richer than the one it produced for Voices. Of course, there was still the undercurrent of crackling noise with his words, but it was serving it's purpose. Jason continued on with his introduction, "I hope to be able to create something to help me defend my home from the annoying campers who trespass in the woods and lake of my home." The device's 'voice' for him changed, taking on an even deeper, growling quality to it. It sounded angry and dangerous. Jason was fairly satisfied with this. The device's voice softened slightly with the next words, "I do not really understand machinery or robots, so any help that anyone here has for me would be appreciated. I do not usually speak to or entertain others but for this I will make an exception to the rule as it serves to further my purpose." It made him sound smaller, almost pleading. He wasn't actually sure how he felt about that, though. He continued his introduction, "Many people are afraid of me, and they should be. However, because I need help I would be willing to entertain others for now. Do not make me regret this decision. That said, if you do choose to help me with my project I will make sure that the effort is remembered and rewarded. Otherwise, I simply wish to be left alone. Do not bother me and we will have no issues with each other."

With his introduction finished, Jason put the device back on the table where he'd found it. The light on it dimmed and went out. He returned to his seat in the back of the class - a location he chose in order to try and avoid disturbing too many of the other students. Several Chicoons leaned away from him as he passed, having realized who he was and what he was known for. He was used to that reaction - in fact, it was probably the one he favored most. He'd rather people feared and avoided him than try to attack him or, worse, genuinely try to befriend him. He watched with mild interest as other Chicoons got up to introduce themselves to the class. Most of them he didn't know, thankfully. There were a few familiar faces that he'd seen here or there. Ones that he had no problem with, or had even had previous positive interactions with. It was nice to see that they still existed.

However, there was one specific Chicoon who came up to the spotlight. They were introducing themself to the rest of the class, but for Jason they needed no introduction. He knew that scarred mug anywhere. He had been the one to PUT that scar on that face. That guy. THAT GUY. Jason hated this guy. He was one of the very campers that had intruded upon Jason's home and had wrecked the place when Jason tried to deal with him and his friends! The real stickler, too, was that this Chicoon was the only one who had gotten away. Jason had thought that he'd never see this guy again. He'd HOPED that he'd never see him again. Here they were though. The other Chicoon was staring at him from down in front. His scarred face curled in an unpleasant, threatening smile. Jason could tell he was going to be a problem. He growled, startling the poor Chicoon seated next to him. He barely noticed them scrambling up and out of their spot to go find a new place to sit.

Unfortunately, Jason did not want to be removed from this class, or the university itself. So he wouldn't start anything with that scarred Chicoon, no matter how much he wanted to. He'd do his best to play nice, or at least not actively antagonize Scarface down there. Though, if the other Chicoon really tries to pick a fight, Jason wouldn't resist an opportunity to give him what he'd be asking for. For now though, Jason just turned back to his desk space and unfurled his blueprints. He was just going to review them for today and work on that small robot with Ascii to begin learning the basics.

The work was supposed to be simple enough, but Jason and most complex machinery never got along well. He ended up having to stay a while afterwards with Ascii and Mulch in order to be able to complete the day's assignment. Still, at the end of it all, he felt fairly accomplished and satisfied with the simple little robot he'd made. Sure it only drove in circles, but it was his first robot! He'd made it mostly on his own, too! Acsii and Mulch only had to explain how some of the tools worked and what some of the jargon in the instructions meant to him a few times.

> PROMPT | Stitchtrap blinks at the paper in front of him, “A robot… a robot…” The chicoon honestly had no idea how he got put into a robotics class, he has no knowledge outside of watching Battle Bots occasionally. Could he take inspiration from battle bots? Was that what this class was for?

Well it doesn’t matter now all he has to do is let his imagination run wild, what’s the worst that could happen?

Scribbling on his page he begins to draw doodles of various designs for robots, “What if it had tentacles?? That would be sick!!” Various drawings appear on his paper over the course of the class time. Although unsure what exactly would be possible, and what would be out of his skill level, he seemingly does not care and continues to create elaborate designs.

Running out of space on the page, Stitchtrap starts looking over his designs, one catches his eye, a round flat robot with an angry face on it. “This one!” He exclaims, drawing attention to himself.

“I love it!” He grins as he circles it. “But wait… It could use something else” The chicoon brings his pen back down to the paper adding more design elements that he surely would be able to create. “There! Now it can fly!”

It appears he’s just designed a flying Roomba. [222 Words]

Error's ear twitched in its socket as he heard today's assignment. Being mute and irritable it had no desire to introduce itself to anyone here, not wanting them to know it. Its glowing eyes followed Mulch as he pointed to each chicoon to stand and announce themselves, glaring down each that stood. A few nervously noticing its vacant yet angry glare. As it came to its turn Mulch prodded it to speak up. For a moment Error just stared at the robotics teacher, a steel claw tapping on the desk in apprehension or perhaps disgust of what to do. A robotic groan left its throat again as it stood up. Its arm fell with a rattle of metal onto the desk as it got up and left the chair. Error walked with heavy stomps to the front of the class room, eyes watching it in wonder and confusion both by its "peers" and teacher. It stopped at the chalkboard at the front of the class. With and ear blistering screech, it took a metal claw and began scratching into the board. The class covered their ears in agony as the half robotic chicoon began carving its name into the board, pleading it to stop. It refused and took its time til the letters E-R-R-O-R were etched into the green background. It turned around and tapped on the board with its sharp tail tip, pointing out its name to the class and the VERY annoyed Mulch.

> PROMPT | Junebug waits nervously for her eventual turn as everyone else introduces themselves one by one. Why did this part always have to be so hard? All she had to do was say her name and a couple things about herself! She repeats what she wants to say in her mind over and over, becoming so focused on that that she nearly misses it when the chicoon beside her finishes their introductions. It's now her turn..! "Hello.." she starts, pausing to take a gulp when she feels everyone's eyes on her. "My name is Junebug... I'm from a farm out in the countryside. I, um, would like to learn more about robotics in the hopes of figuring out ways to make life on the farm more efficient for my family. T-That's why I'm here.. It's a pleasure to meet you all." She lets out a silent sigh as she finishes her statement, only for Mulch to inquire about her farm. "O-Oh, we.. have a pretty big apple orchard. Cider, jam, pies... we make it all when it's in season..! We also have livestock... but the orchard is definitely what we're known for." While it wasn't graceful, she did at least find it a bit easier to talk about the farm back home than herself..!
