you can only answer the non-owner prompt if you don't have a flitz, but after answering it, it gives you a guaranteed flitz so you can answer the others

Fen tipped the vial gently over the cauldron, her eyes squinted as she surveyed the drop of liquid gold dancing across the lid. Fen gave it a gentle shake, skittering back as far too many droplets spilled into the liquid before her. “No-!” Fen threw a paw over her eyes, flinching back as the potion emitted a burst of blindingly white light.
Auden barked in a fit of laughter on the perch beside her. Fen glared at the bird, her eyes narrowing. “You want to help or shall I do it by myself whilst you watch and laugh?” The flit retorted, earning yet another laugh from her companion. The raven had always been… sassy, to say the least. Fen just rolled her eyes, turning back to her work. Potions were difficult, a skill she was still in the midst of mastering. However, it was perhaps her biggest passion. There was nothing more thrilling than throwing ingredients in a liquid and ending up something spectacular. Perhaps that was why she liked gardening. You throw a seed in the ground, and life emerges. Fen smiled, giving a nod of respect to her cauldron. “Until next time.”

Fen padded outside, the sun immediately finding it’s way onto her back, warm as can be. The flit’s smile reached her eyes as she breathed in the life of the woods around her. Fen lived deep in the forest, but had never known a kinder and warmer place. The villagers were afraid of the forest, but Fen had always nurtured it and received the same love back. She was a friend of the earth, as apart of it as it was of her. Fen’s garden has connected her even deeper to the world since she started it.

The flit’s paws found their place on the gently worn steeping stones beneath her feet as she moved forward. She smiled, a vine curling around her tail as she moved about her greenery. Fen grew many magical plants here, but there were also regular crops and herbs she grew such as potatoes and lavender. Fen stopped in front of her small gardening bed, the tangy scent of mint hitting her nose. Almost every single herb she grew here were used in her recipes, the only herb excluded being catmint. Fen absolutely adored the stray cats that occasionally pop up at her cottage. They didn’t like Auden, but they did love the flit’s baking skills and the warmth of her home in winter.

Fen moved on, quickly grabbing the watering can she’d left on the path. It was full of water from the pond nearby, which was what she always used. Any water that had fish in it was absolutely excellent for her planets. The flit did a quick once-over of her garden, making sure to give water to any that seemed droopy. When Fen was finished, she made her way back inside her cottage, a refreshed smile on her face. Gardening was the most therapeutic passion she had, and touched her in ways she didn’t know were possible.

The game Tyto is running right now has just started; it's his second time DM'ing, with the game before this one (but between Connor, Cecil, and another friend) being a oneshot and his first ever game to DM. Currently, the party is going after band of thieves who hijacked a carriage and stole the crown of a king.

He honestly has no idea what he's doing, but if the players are having fun, then he's having fun as well.

Image

Image
Character name: Lily || Race: Tiefling || Class: Rogue || Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Image
With a background as a criminal/spy and a specialty in pickpocketing, Cecil's character, Lilly is a tiefling who's on her way to free her brother who was caught by the guards and taken to the land's most infamous prison. They say there's no escape from there, but Lilly is going to prove that wrong when she finally gets there!
Lively, energetic, easily excitable, and a bit more brash than she should be, this character is almost exactly like Cecil. But that's just Cecil for you: he wanted to be part of an adventure, so why not make something of a self insert, eh?

Image

Image
Character name: Tony Redwik || Race: Half Elf || Class: Sorcerer || Alignment: Neutral Good
Image
Connor's character was a librarian before he started adventuring. What set him on a quest of revenge was when the village he lived in was burned down by what the surviving people described as a "dark entity not from this realm".
Connor himself isn't much of a sunshine-and-happiness kinda flit, and his character reflects this a little with his judging and often grumpy attitude, but Tony is certainly a lot more less of an "angry complainer" than Connor.

Image

Image
Character name: Myla || Race: Dragonborn || Class: Bard || Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Image
Iliana is still new to this whole thing and was just convinced by Cecil to tag along. Her character, the dragonborn bard Myla came from a little village to look for adventure, treasure, and of course, someone to spend her life with.
Unlike Iliana, Myla is a charmer and someone who enjoys manipulating people for her own benefits. Iliana still has a lot to work on her roleplaying skills, but with enough sessions, she'll improve in no time!

flit used [non-owners write n/a]: Gallopavo, Frey, Hubble, Moto Moto, Raien, and Hastur
    response:
      The DM
Gallopavo is this crews DM. They've dmed several different games several different times and are quite comfortable operating in many different systems. They're very good at it, if they do say so themselves, even if their players often say they're a bit harsh. They are very good at adapting to their players going off track and, more importantly, at pin pointing exactly what story beats to lay down to attract each player. They also have a reputation for what their table terms false successes. In these cases they allow failures to succeed but in a way that is not at all favorable to the player either immediately or down the line. "It works, but" are common words at their table. Their weakness is doing voices. They're not good at it and they don't frequently try to differentiate NPC voice.

Currently, they are in the middle of a year long campaign of Blades in the Dark. Their table in general is not fond of Dungeons and Dragons and favors smaller indie games as a rule - although they usually apply them to their own worlds as opposed to using the base ones. Blades in the Dark is a favorite of the entire table though. They love it's unique stress system and the way their game flows.

      The Spider
Frey plays the class known as the spider. This class is all about using connections and the people of the city to get what the player wants and to formulate the best plans. The spider gains experience points from addressing a challenge with calculation or conspiracy. This is actually outside of Frey's usual type. He typically learns toward brawn over brains types but has recently been pushing boundaries trying to connect with Wild Trace, an aristocrat with her hands in as many pockets as she can get them and, more often than not, too many things going on. Frey's really just hit his stride with such a new character type and is skilled at laying out all the options the party has available to them.

      The Whisper
Hubble's favored class is the Whisper. This class is basically the closest thing Blades in the Dark has to a wizard. The Whisper earns the experience points from addressing a challenge with knowledge or arcane power. Hubble will play the magic class nine times out of ten. It's so expected that he's not asked what class he would like to play anymore and that's fine by him. He loves the mystical and the weird and is really good at using spells in creative ways. His whisper in particular, Ramal Orias, is self taught and may or may not actually be a ghost. He's a little cranky and has a talent in necromancy.

      The Lurk
Moto Moto's s character Snitch plays the class called the Lurk. A lurk's specialty is stealth and is essentially the equivalent of a thief. The Lurk class earns its experience points through addressing challenges with stealth or evasion. Snitch is a scout and, most importantly, a robot. He's a bit of an oddball and tends to stick his nose in places they can't belong. He also was stated as if he was a tough, because Moto Moto finds it funny to have a stealth character who's whole personality is 'fight me'. The rest of the party - in character of course - would argue he's more a burden than a help, but in reality he does pull his own weight. He's very good at getting both into and out of trouble.

      The Cutter
The cutter is the warrior class. Their greatest assets are brawn verging on super human. Traditionally they tend to value brawn over brain and tend to not be the brightest of the bunch. This is about as far from the truth as one can get while dealing with Tally. Wainwright. Raein actively hates stereotypes and doesn't like that idea that just because someone is buff that they must also be stupid. She almost always players her fighter classes as being more than their muscles. This is especially true given the rest of her crews tendency to play idiots. Tally in particular is very smart. They often play dumb to try and get an enemy to underestimate them when, in reality, their physical strength is only aided by their ability to read a room.

      The Leech
Hastur is a player who's comfortable playing just about any class. He's also very skilled at adopting different personas and character motivations. No character of his is identical to each other and most stray into varying archetypes. For this game, he has chosen the Leech. A Leech thrives on alchemic solutions and traps. They're the artificer equivalent, more or less. Their experience points come from addressing challenges with their technical skills or, alternatively, with mayhem. Unfortunately for the rest of the crew this time, Hastur, playing a character creatively called Hastur, has never been one to have a particularly strong sense of self preservation. He goes big or goes home, much to the chagrin of his teammates. He also constantly tries to sweet talk NPCS, despite having 0 points in sway or any of the relevant social skills. Big chaotic energy all around.

      The Crew
Blades in the Dark is a game all about a crew of criminals undertaking heists. The goal of The Crew - also creatively named The Crew for this particular group - is to steal something. Their bounty of choice is knowledge. They steal books and information and turn it for a profit. Or, well, they try to. The Crew struggles to stay on mission and often gets caught up in their own schemes. Teamwork is a thing that the characters struggle with - although the players themselves are often on the same page. They also love them some irony. If they know a twist is coming they lean into it and none of the players are afraid to make bad choices for the sake of character development. If a character being taken out is good for the story none of them are too attached to prevent it from happening. Between Hastur and Snitch being big idiots and the rest of the crew all having very specialized motivations they're very good at staying in a constant state of trouble.
