Fen tipped the vial gently over the cauldron, her eyes squinted as she surveyed the drop of liquid gold dancing across the lid. Fen gave it a gentle shake, skittering back as far too many droplets spilled into the liquid before her. “No-!” Fen threw a paw over her eyes, flinching back as the potion emitted a burst of blindingly white light.
Auden barked in a fit of laughter on the perch beside her. Fen glared at the bird, her eyes narrowing. “You want to help or shall I do it by myself whilst you watch and laugh?” The flit retorted, earning yet another laugh from her companion. The raven had always been… sassy, to say the least. Fen just rolled her eyes, turning back to her work. Potions were difficult, a skill she was still in the midst of mastering. However, it was perhaps her biggest passion. There was nothing more thrilling than throwing ingredients in a liquid and ending up something spectacular. Perhaps that was why she liked gardening. You throw a seed in the ground, and life emerges. Fen smiled, giving a nod of respect to her cauldron. “Until next time.”
Fen padded outside, the sun immediately finding it’s way onto her back, warm as can be. The flit’s smile reached her eyes as she breathed in the life of the woods around her. Fen lived deep in the forest, but had never known a kinder and warmer place. The villagers were afraid of the forest, but Fen had always nurtured it and received the same love back. She was a friend of the earth, as apart of it as it was of her. Fen’s garden has connected her even deeper to the world since she started it.
The flit’s paws found their place on the gently worn steeping stones beneath her feet as she moved forward. She smiled, a vine curling around her tail as she moved about her greenery. Fen grew many magical plants here, but there were also regular crops and herbs she grew such as potatoes and lavender. Fen stopped in front of her small gardening bed, the tangy scent of mint hitting her nose. Almost every single herb she grew here were used in her recipes, the only herb excluded being catmint. Fen absolutely adored the stray cats that occasionally pop up at her cottage. They didn’t like Auden, but they did love the flit’s baking skills and the warmth of her home in winter.
Fen moved on, quickly grabbing the watering can she’d left on the path. It was full of water from the pond nearby, which was what she always used. Any water that had fish in it was absolutely excellent for her planets. The flit did a quick once-over of her garden, making sure to give water to any that seemed droopy. When Fen was finished, she made her way back inside her cottage, a refreshed smile on her face. Gardening was the most therapeutic passion she had, and touched her in ways she didn’t know were possible.
Roses and skulls, literally his passion of life... or death.
The game Tyto is running right now has just started; it's his second time DM'ing, with the game before this one (but between Connor, Cecil, and another friend) being a oneshot and his first ever game to DM. Currently, the party is going after band of thieves who hijacked a carriage and stole the crown of a king.
He honestly has no idea what he's doing, but if the players are having fun, then he's having fun as well.
With a background as a criminal/spy and a specialty in pickpocketing, Cecil's character, Lilly is a tiefling who's on her way to free her brother who was caught by the guards and taken to the land's most infamous prison. They say there's no escape from there, but Lilly is going to prove that wrong when she finally gets there!
Lively, energetic, easily excitable, and a bit more brash than she should be, this character is almost exactly like Cecil. But that's just Cecil for you: he wanted to be part of an adventure, so why not make something of a self insert, eh?
Connor's character was a librarian before he started adventuring. What set him on a quest of revenge was when the village he lived in was burned down by what the surviving people described as a "dark entity not from this realm".
Connor himself isn't much of a sunshine-and-happiness kinda flit, and his character reflects this a little with his judging and often grumpy attitude, but Tony is certainly a lot more less of an "angry complainer" than Connor.
Iliana is still new to this whole thing and was just convinced by Cecil to tag along. Her character, the dragonborn bard Myla came from a little village to look for adventure, treasure, and of course, someone to spend her life with.
Unlike Iliana, Myla is a charmer and someone who enjoys manipulating people for her own benefits. Iliana still has a lot to work on her roleplaying skills, but with enough sessions, she'll improve in no time!
