      Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
      Username: Morghettio
      Buttermilk: The Holy Trinity
Prompt: 2 - “This duck is still nowhere to be found. When everyone arrived at the farmer’s market this morning, they find that several booths have been chewed up, partially destroyed, or have been left dirty! There’s a trail of muddy, webbed footprints and some white feathers indicating just who the culprit is. Do you stay behind to help repair the damaged or dirty booths, or do continue on your search for this pesky duck? What made you choose this course of action?”

The duck man returns! New day, new duck outfit: it seems like someone got into the craft room.

By the time everyone begins to arrive at the farmers market, Morgan was... well, pretty much already there. He had been doing his best to find the flighty feathered culprit, who Morgan swears up and down he did see but was unable to catch, but at this point he focused on just repairs. In his mind, if he was really the only person on grounds, the duck would see him as a lone, fellow duck, in the quiet morning hours and come to him.

Of course, that did not happen.

So, the lanky man looks a bit awkward as he is in this duck costume, but it is easy to tell he is really doing his best trying to fix broken boards and destroyed displays. His husband is somewhere nearby, trying to lure the duck out with already half eaten duck feed (that the duck has not even touched yet).

Morgan spends the rest of his day in a mix of things: trying to repair booths where needed, and on his "breaks", spend his time looking for the duck (ie going to look at other booths).

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Areater
Buttermilk: arabella
Prompt: arabella knew it was probably more helpful, at this point, to stay behind and clean up - the duck would turn up at some point, and really, how much more harm can he do? but now it felt personal - she hadn't been able to catch him, and now he was mocking her! she snorted with frustration and dug a hoof into the ground. "i'm gonna go find that pesky duck!" she announced confidently, with a determined hoof stomp, before turning around and heading in the direction the muddy footprints led. she knew it was silly to take a duck making a mess personally, but she didn't take failure very lightly, and once she had her mind set on a task, she was determined to finish it no matter what. she imagined the moment of triumph to encourage her as she looked around the market again - the image of her pinning his tail feathers down with her hoof, scooping him up, and taking him back to daffy kept her pressing on.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Northstar.
Buttermilk: Ghost
Prompt:

"You mean I have a choice this time?" Ghost asks incredulously. "I can fix this stuff instead? Heck yeah!" She's as jubilant as she can be - which honestly only means she's not scowling quite as much. Improvement!

She takes a sander from a kid's hands - he didn't know how to use it anyway - and gets to work. Ghost is surprisingly good with her hands, steady and patient. Chipped edges are smoothed with grace, peeled paint is almost lovingly touched up, and willy-nilly wares are sorted into neat rows. You could almost call Ghost an artist.

It brings her some small measure of satisfaction and pride to see her handiwork as she wipes up the last remaining muddy duck print. Finally, everything is as it should be.

"What are you lookin' at me for?" she questions and huffs an agitated sigh. "You still want me to find that duck, huh? Whatever." Aaaand the peace is gone.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: BiscuitTheDog
Buttermilk: Carmie
Prompt:
Walking into the Farmer's Market early in the morning only to see it destroyed certainly left Carmie in the worst of moods. She unexpectedly found herself wanting to kick that duck into last century. She was mad. Carmie walked to the end of the stalls, peering at the lake in the distance. Her heart seemed to be growling in her chest, hissing, "Oh! Go after the danged duck! Chassse it, and rip off its feathersssss!"
But Carmie's brain, the more reasonable of the two, calmly told Carmie, "No. That's not what you want. Look behind, Carmie. You need to help."
Carmie shook her head, ears thwacking her cheeks. She turned around and immediately saw a middle-aged couple kneeling over their completely destroyed stall. It seemed to be one of the more complicated and intricate stalls that Carmie had seen yesterday. One could hardly tell what the stand was selling anymore.
The heifer of the pair was aggressively sobbing, muttering incomprehensible words while the bull rubbed her back and stared down at the damage.
Carmie frowned. She pricked her ears and trotted forward towards the couple. She walked to the other side of the heifer and asked, "Hey, do you need any help? I can assist in cleaning up. I-if you want, of course."
The crying heifer looked up at Carmie. She had stopped crying, but her cheek fur was dark were the tears had streamed down her face. She smiled kindly at Carmie. "O-oh! Thank you s-so so much! This stand means everything to me and my family, we get half of our income from the Farmer's Market every year! It took me weeks to finish this stall!" The bull standing behind the heifer nodded solemnly. "A-and we don't even know who the culprit is! Oh, any help we can get would be greatly appreciated!"
Carmie had blinked when the heifer said she didn't know who the culprit was. Her eyes drifted to the corner of the destroyed stall, where a single dirty white feather was lodged in between two pieces of wood. Carmie nodded when the heifer finished. She looked back at the couple. "I'll do my best!" She promised.
The bull helped the heifer stand back up, and the two started picking carefully through the wood. Carmie snatched up the feather and stared at it, nostrils flared. She looked down the row of damaged and dirtied stalls.
As Carmie's heart pounded, she swore to herself one thing:
When she was done helping with these booths, she was going to track down that duck and she was not going to fail.

    Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
    username: surfingmars
    buttermilk: Locty + barn
    prompt:
Locty had no luck finding the duck yesterday, but did learn that it loves the attention of crowds. After arriving back at the farmers market for another day he was able to see the mess that the duck had left at the market overnight, now he was even more determined to find it for Daffy. He began to help cleaning up the disaster when he came upon a cluster of stark white feathers, he then thought, I was the one that caused this by not catching that darn duck, I can’t believe I let something like this happen… After this moment in his head, Locty began working even harder to fix the catastrophe that the duck had left behind. He figured that the sooner he was able to fix this mess, the sooner he would be able to go off and find that duck and never let something like this happen again.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Pufferheart
Buttermilk: Beth
Prompt:

Beth looked in horror at the destruction the duck had committed. How could such a small animal cause so much havoc? Everywhere she looked Beth saw damaged booths and Buttermilks that looked like they needed some help. It made her even more mad than she was before.

Finding that duck would have to wait. Those people needed her help, and she was going to help them whether they liked it or not.

Helping seems like a good way to make a friend, thought Beth. Afterwards I can find that stupid duck.

Beth helped the first Buttermilk she saw. "Hey, need any help?" she said to a white and brown heifer.

She looked up at Beth uncertainly. "Uh, sure, you can by cleaning off the mud on that side if you want to," she said.

Beth did her job happily. She was done quickly, but Beth felt she had done her duty.

"I'm off to find that darn duck!" Beth announced to no one in particular. And off she went.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Cactologist
Buttermilk: Bedelia
Prompt: The second the farmer's market comes into Bedelia's sight, her jaw drops open, and she breaks into a gallop towards the duck stand where Daffodil stands, fretting about.
"The duck still hasn't been caught!" Daffodil exclaims, showing Bedelia the evidence. None of Bedelia's ideas from yesterday had worked, and eventually Daffodil had forced her to give up and go enjoy herself. Today though, Bedelia is ashamed at herself for giving up so easily and is even more determined to find the runaway.
"Well," Bedelia thinks out loud, "hopefully if I can move quickly before the crowds come I can follow the duck's tracks. If his tracks get trampled, there will be no way I'll find him. The little guy seems very fast and sneaky, too, so I better get an early start before he gets too much further away! Also, I don't want you to have to wander too far from the rest of the ducks in case another one makes a run for it. It'll be better if you try to help the booth owners. Let me know if you have any trouble, otherwise I'll report back to you later!"

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Bluebird-
Buttermilk: Hazel
Prompt:

Hazel narrowed her eyes at the clear webbed footprints in the moistened dirt around the piled crates. She was about to creep around them and continue on the trail when she heard exasperated sighs behind her. The heifer lifted her head and turned around, really taking in all the damage the troublesome duck had caused. Cardboard boxes filled with fresh vegetables had holes chewed through them, homemade ceramic pots and bowls had shattered as their shelves teetered when the duck ran beneath them, and people had lost their purchased goods to the ground when that pesky bird ran beneath them and threw off their balance. These were her people, she saw them twice a week and made playful conversation and now they were hurting. She looked quickly back to the duck tracks before rushing to help the nearest person pick up their fallen jam jars. "So sorry about that duck!" she apologized, carefully placing the jars in a basket.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: honeybunchesofoats
Buttermilk: Darian
Prompt: To nobody's surprise, Darian's best friend Kiri races off in search of the duck as soon as they get to the market. However instead of chasing them, Darian decides to stray from her father's advice and keep to herself. After the chaos of yesterday she needs a bit of a break from the hunt.

She looks around the disheveled booths, almost sadly because she knew how long most of this must have taken to set up. So, the ties up her hair and sets to work going to each booth. With the dirty ones, she cleans to the best of her ability. She's had maids all her life and barely so much as lifted a finger when she was little but after running her own city, she knows the importance of giving back to a community in need. She scrubs away at the mud and grim and even gives small tips on how to booth could be spruced up to attract more customers.

However she did not have any construction experience and couldn't do anything to help to poor booths that had gotten destroyed. So she did the only thing she could do. She dug into her pockets and pulled out clumps of money in her currency. She left them with the owners of each booth and smiled warmly knowing that she did the best she could to stop that dastardly duck.

Daffy’s Great Duck Hunt - Day 2
Username: Echoleaf
Buttermilk: Mitsuki
Prompt: Mitsuki stared at the mess of a market angrily. How could such a small creature cause so much chaos? She obviously wasn't going to let the little scoundrel get away. With an irritated huff, she stomped towards the muddy footprints and leaned a bit closer to them trying to get an idea of how soon this had happened. She grumbled not being able to tell a single thing about the time and she questioned why she was doing this as she was reminded of her struggles with escape rooms and mystery games. Mitsuki gave another irritated snort before stomping in place a few times. Aggravated, she took off after the muddy footprints, once again taking no regard for the others around. She accidentally knocked into a few of the people who were helping to clean the booths without even apologizing. She just kept marching through to find that despicable duck, stomping on a few stray fruits here and there as she walked.
