Prompt: Kobra looked at his reflection in the mirror, excited for the time to trick-or-treat to come. He'd thought long and hard about what he wanted to dress as - picking a costume was one of his favorite parts of Halloween (although really, everything about Halloween was his favorite; there was no better time of the year!). Kobra had spent hours at the store before finally deciding to go as a classic monster: a vampire. He loved the dark cape he wore, with a silver bat clip holding it on. He loved the stylish victorian-esque vest and the dark boots that he'd found hidden, the only pair of their kind. Kobra had considered fake fangs, but decided that he didn't need them as his teeth were already larger than most others. Besides, eating the delicious treats handed out would be far easier without fake teeth in the way. Smiling to himself, he felt satisfied with the costume. Kobra found the basket he used each year, a dark thing covered in white snakes and set it out in view, something else to remind him of the upcoming holiday, along with his many other spooky decor. Kobra removed his costume for now, setting it in a special spot within his wardrobe. He couldn't wait for Halloween!

When Pop heard that Halloween was arriving, he didn't think too much of it. His costumes were never that good, so why would it be any better this year? And whenever he did go, his friends usually abandoned him, or kept tricking him into going into scary houses. He always heard them giggling behind his back - which he assumed that they were either laughing at him or his costume, or both. He thought of even just watching movies and not even participate in halloween this year. He decided to consult Melanie on what to do.
"Should I even go this year? I still don't have a costume, or even an idea for one."
Melanie looked confused, "Of course you should go! I'll make something for you!"
Pop still looked unsure, "But.. maybe I don't want to go..."
"Oh... really? Why is that?"
"The doodles I go with always make fun of me..."
"Oh I'm sorry! You could go with me and my friends!"
"No... I'm alright."
Melanie felt a little defeated, "Well, what do you want to do on halloween?"
"... maybe... watch movies, with you?" A small blush appeared on Pop's cheeks, but it barely compared to the blush on Melanie's face.
She was almost shocked speechless, "Huh? W-with me?" She paused, "but... you would just watch more mystery movies..."
"No! I m-mean no, I wouldn't... I... would watch romantic comedies with you." It pained Pop to say, but he was willing to do it.
A smile appeared on Melanie's face, "Awe, you're too nice... I guess that means I'm not going to halloween this year!" <3

Prompt: when the spooky season comes around and it's time to tell scary stories, what better than to find oneself sitting around a campfire at night with friends close by? gathered around a camp fire are several pups and one by one each tells a story, some well known others not so much, and each scary in their own way. some speak of ghouls ad goblins, others of frankenstein's monster or dracula. as the night goes on and the fire begins to die, the embers crackling, it finally became hyacinths turn to tell a tale. bundled cozily in a blanket, trying to hide his shivering fear from his friends, he scoots in close.

gather around, my friends, and learn about the strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde, now hyacinth wasn't much of a storyteller, nor a fan of anything creepy and scary, but his favorite book to read when october came around was that of the strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde. as he edged near the fire shadows danced across his face. have you ever heard of them? he questioned his friends, all shaking their head no. this brought a smile to the young pups face as he got ready to te his tale, or more so retell a tale that's been told before.
