what are they fighting for? [500 word limit]

It was two years ago when they finally told me I had the dream disease.
Kalons with it react too strongly to the dream potion- they dream violently, lengthily, and sometimes- their dreams affect them, or others, in real life.It's dangerous. The dream potion already has quite random effects on what the dream becomes, taking the waking moments and swirling them into a strange and easily forgotten tale. That means dreams can get scary, and with the dream disease, sometimes the damage you or others take in dreams becomes real.
The first time we noticed anything was when I had my first nightmare. I woke up covered in burn wounds from the dragon I had dreamed. From there it only got worse. But finally, we found out that the condition had a name. The downside? It still has no known cure.
But that doesn't scare me. That's why I'm studying science so vigorously. That's why I'm spreading what I know about it on social media. I'm fighting it with all the tools I have at my disposal. And someday, somewhere in the future, I hope- no, I know- the others who have it, and I- we're going to win.

what are they fighting for?
Chowa is fighting for the only thing that could bring the world into peace, the dalons and kalons to one day get along.

the kalons has been split into two species, which are the dalons and valons. the valons had dark fur, and the dalons had light fur. the dalons control their world and crushes the dull-colored valons to try to illuminate their world, to only leave the dalons, who had beautiful and colorful fur. this all happened because of a meteor that crashed and broke half of their planet, and there was nobody to help them but themselves. the population was decreasing quickly, and there was almost no food for the valons. Chowa realized this right away and tried to think of making a plan. something that could stop this mess, something that could leave them in harmony forever. he tries to think of something as Chowa lives in fear everyday, trying to look for food in the ash covered streets. the buildings were black and grey, covered with trash and old newspapers. it always smelled like smoke or gas, which is why so many valons die of diseases. there were no electricity, so it was always dark. the sun almost never rises, and there was no rain. it doesn't make sense, but that's just how it is. life was unfair, but there was always something to make your life.. or everyone's lives better. he wants to make a difference, a world with no war and bloodshed. he knows that he can do it, but he hasn't found the right thing to do yet. he'll figure it out, and he'll find a little someone that could help him like crazy.

Constellation just wants a home, a place to be loved, and place to go back to. He's fighting, so hard and valiantly, for a little cottage by the seashore. He yearns for it, dreaming of it every day. The payment will be high, due to the location. He'll get there, he just needs to keep trudging on.

What are they fighting for? [500 word limit]
Colden was once such a vibrant and happy child. He was polite and courteous. People always made comments on how well his mother had raised him. His mother would always refer to him as her 'little snowflake' because of his gentle nature.

One day Colden was late coming home. As the minutes turned into hours his mother grew worried. It was not like Colden to be late so her mind began to swarm with the worst possible reasons. Finally, she decided she was going to go out looking for him. The only problem is that as she left to go looking for him, Colden had returned. Just missing each other.

As Colden's mother searched for him, she was attacked by a drifter. The town called it a mugging gone wrong. The drifter was never caught and Colden blamed himself for his mother's death. He became cold and removed; almost like a shadow of his former self. Everyone assumed it was just the grief and that resulted in his changed behavior, and they were partly right. However, Colden wasn't the only one to blame him for the death of his mother. So did his father. His father had developed a drinking problem after his mother's abrupt passing. The more he drank the crueler he was to Colden. Belittling him, beating him, and eventually telling him to leave because he could no longer stand the sight of him.

Colden ran off, far into a snowy tundra where he found a small den to cry himself to sleep. He vowed to never let anyone close to him. Thinking that only pain and suffering come with caring for others; whether it be losing them through death or at their hands.

That's how Colden became known as 'The Prince of Ice'. A young boy, with a frozen heart.

Since then, he has grown and now is the leader of a small tundra 'kingdom'. He still isn't close to anyone and some would call him paranoid with how distrustful he is of the others. His band of misfits allowing protection for those who need it. Giving a second chance to those he deems worthy. Taking in orphans and punishing those who abuse others. Colden sees himself as an avenger for those who needed a hero. Fighting for good in a world gone cold and using its harsh tactics against it. [394/500]

Darkness struck the land. Tenshi, the guardian of ice, was struggling to get the ice kingdom back together as darkness takes over. The darkness destroys everything it touches. One day the darkness got to Tenshi, and he was taken into the shadow realm. The kingdom was slowing being torn apart, and Tenshi didn't know how to leave the shadow realm. He blamed himself for all the deaths caused by the darkness, therefore becoming cold and rude. The darkness planned it this way to get better control over his emotions, and he was left vulnerable. For days he didn't even trust himself, until he realized he was blocking out everyone he loved. Regaining consciousness, he escaped the shadow realm, protected his land, and became a leader the ice kingdom could be proud of.

what are they fighting for?spektor is fighting for the planet. the earth's temperature has suddenly increased to the point where EVERYONE is now affected. he is fighting for the earth, and all of the inhabitant's futures. he fights by constantly visisting the arctic and saving as much of the wildlife that he can, nearing them further and further away from the melted slush. his main reason to keep going is to save the planet, as he lost his family to the melting ice.

The fifth time it happened, another Kalon approached him. "Why do you keep doing it?" it asked.

Kaden growled from inside the roped net he had been captured in. For the fifth time, he had tried to escape the preserve, and for the fifth time, he failed. Honestly, he should have been thankful to be here; he knew that the outside world was dangerous and that not every tamer was this nice to their Kalons. He could have been shipped off or something the first time he had tried to escape, but he couldn't stay put. He had to know what had happened to them, though he still wouldn't tell anyone he cared.

"For freedom," the blue Kalon answered instead, still upside down in the net. Even if the fire had ravaged the forest, that didn't mean they were dead and he wouldn't stop fighting until he knew the truth, even if it killed him.
