What are they looking for and how did they get to the valley?:
born to the royal family, he was seen as a blessing amongst their children. the youngest and he was favored along with
his older brother. he was supposed to be their guardian. and the high priest supposed the sun sigil meant he was a gift
from the sun.
apollyon came to the valley for one thing; power. hearing rumors of lions forging many prides and growing by the number.
it was a chance for him to start new, a chance for power. to grow and groom his legacy. starting a pride, a kingdom. how
hard could it be? he was no longer welcome in his home, they had sent him away. his family burned away. but he was spared,
the gods let him run. but as far as he was concerned there were no gods, just himself. they let his families closest friends
betray them. they'd learn. for his claws were still long and sharp, as long and sharp as theirs. he'd come back and take
what was rightfully his, but until then. he'd grow, and wait. for patience was a useful thing. when he finally came across
the valley he found what he wanted to see. eventually coming across a religious group who deemed him a deity of the sun.
they begged him to join them, for they insisted this was fate. the sun sigil on his back was examined and fawned over,
they announced the gods had sent them elohim. he was resentful at the thought, there were no gods. but the longer they
ranted and pleaded with him to stay, the more he realized what an opportunity this was. they chanted elohim, and they
bowed at his feet. for now, he'd pretend to be the deity they wished for. it wasn't long before someone stood up to the
new king. apollyon, now elohim was offended by the proclaim. the face raved about how elohim was no deity, he was
not sent by the sun. he was a fraud. and the long he ranted the more he realized the people were believing the new face.
but they stood silent, and he knew he had to act quickly. so he began to poison the food, wiping them out. when confronted
with the new deaths he told them it was the sun punishing them for their lack of faith. when the time came, and there were
only a few left, he wiped them out. proclaiming it was the sun god's wishes. rumors had spread of the tainted sun deity, he
was feared. a king who had wiped his pride out at the first sign of unloyalty. he had power in his name. apollyon, rank elohim.
his blue eyes sharp as he passed through the lands. he still had a task at hand, his family needed avenging, and with no pride
how could he do that? he would start over, he would run things as he did with the past group. they would believe he was a
god, and he'd lead them through victories under the golden sun. under the gods, for he was one of them, was he not?
the false god, with golden chains hanging from his neck. his former pride's allies had heard of him, had gossiped and spread
half-truths. what they believed to be the sun god's sent. from then, his name quickly spread throughout the savanna, luckily
enough he had cut ties off with the allying prides when the rumors of his fraud began. afterwards he visited the closest pride,
he had told them of what had happened. his pride had questioned him, his identity. so he did what the sun god had told him.
he looked to the pride, asking boldly, "do any of you doubt me? do any of you doubt the sun god?" he called. fear was spread
quickly, and they shook their heads eagerly. he seemed pleased. "spread the word about me," he ordered, standing tall and
fearless. "faithless subjects do not survive here, you'll do well to learn that now." and with that he was gone. traveling yet
again. he could only hope that the pride had listened, spread his name, his power. maybe then he'd have a shot. he would
groom his pride to worship him, he just needed the right words, the right rumors. their precious gods wouldn't help them
now. he was their holy word, their orders. he just needed to find the pathetic subjects who believed so faithfully in their
beloved gods. elohim would rule them all.
