y'all really did not even try to make this easy on me, huh?
i'm so incredibly flattered by the amount of work i saw put into
every form, and i'm so heartwarmed that so many of you enjoyed
my design enough to dedicate so much free time to your entries.
i honest to god wish i had the time on my hands to give you all
your own hazel kalons. i hope hms and a note will suffice for
now, but i urge you to keep creating because you all have a
knack for it. ♡

so!! for my hm winners-

Ethulai : howdy, eth ! i chose this competition format to see people create things that you don't
normally see created for adopt competitions- and i must say, you delivered ! i'm a huge choco-hazelnut
anything fan, and a vegan as well, so your recipe was tantalizing. and your dedication to writing about
your process and the photographs (which looked to be studio-quality, in my humble opinion) brought the
form together so well!! I adored your entry and thank you so much for taking time out of your day to enter. ♡

peppermint mist: Pepper, I adored your animatic, and the song choice and personality you applied
to the characters was so fun, plus your song choice was a personal favorite of mine. c;
not to mention how much hard work goes into creating an animatic-
thank you so much for spending your free time on this competition- i'm incredibly honored and i
hope to see you keep creating !!! ♡

recherche: Leah, I was hoping to see fun little projects dotted around this competition, and you idea
totally fit the bill!! I've never seen someone set up a doll or a doll still life based on a kal, and your
entry brought a smile to my face!! Thank you so much. ♡

76heart: Heart, your form was so incredibly impressive. I love how you manipulated and cut the clips of
preexisting works to fabric a story entirely of your own design. If I had the time right now, I absolutely
would be giving you an RU. I had to ask the rest of staff to help me with this tie-breaker, and I'm floored
by the effort and dedication in your form. You have an incredible talent for video editting !! Thank you
so much for entering this adopt competition and allowing me to enjoy such a wonderful form. ♡

and the winner of Hazel is....

Snowflakette !! Your form was incredibly impressive- when I first saw the meme you added in, i was already
shocked with the craftsmanship and dedication... but then your form kept going. And it kept going well.
The character of Ying Yu was so endearing and well-crafted, what with the illustrated story, the original song,
and then the animatic- the amount of time and effort put into this form and character totally won me over.
I don't think I could sleep at night if I didn't give this character a canvas. also- i loved the chinese translation!
although i cannot read it myself, as a foreign language major, i feel the tediousness of have to create a story
and translate it into another language- it often feels like you're crafting two different stories, what what cultural
idioms and the like !! So- amazing work, Snow, and congrats on your win! ♡


i don't wanna make this longer than it is (and i obviously will be quadriple posting at this point), but if you
haven't yet, i urge you to check out the forms in this competition if you have time, even the wips! the work
displayed on this thread is some of the best i've seen in all my time in kals, and i think it all deserves way
more recognition. so, once again, thank you all so much for entering and i can't wait to see you in my next
competition !! ♡

it means the world to me and makes me so happy that you enjoyed my form and the video, and think that I have a talent for video editing ahh <333 that was definitely the most difficult video i've done yet and it means so much that you would have given me a runner up if you had the time <3

ngl i wish i knew chinese so i could read your beautiful translations as well ahhh, i adore what i know of the language and culture but i'm utter garbage at learning languages whoops

big congrats to all of the winners, especially snowflakette !! when i was making my form i wasn’t aware that we might’ve went down a similar thought with our forms, so i am a little sorry for that. your form tied together so nicely, and the characters you created for ying yu and his brother were really interesting to read about. the chinese translation had me floored because you really went that extra step, and i really enjoyed reading your form in chinese too. your art is so beautiful and really made your form pop in general. 😩👌

unfortunately i had to drop out due to some irl circumstances, but competing against all of you and all of your ideas was so much fun! i learned a few things regarding planning out my stories better, and in the future, i’ll hopefully get to participate in a competition long enough to actually finish said form oops

once again, a huge congrats to all of the winners! all of the hms were a well deserved win, too ❤️

AHH!!!! oh my goodness!! thank you so much, senti! this is such an amazing thing to see after school and I swear my heart leapt when mandy and marsh told me I had won oh man. heartfelt thanks for the kind words you wrote as well!! and yeah! I definitely get that about how it seems like you're creating two different stories with different languages <33 I'm so so happy you like yin's character and story, I really had a lot of fun creating his character and I'm so stoked I can further develop him. promise I'll take good care of him! <3
