It was a cold mid fall, mid winter night. Cas and her friend decided to go to this old house that connected to a large field and was said to be the home of spirits and witches. Cas got there a little early. Hearing weird noises, and having weird feelings before something caught her off guard and she hopped in a bush. Unseen really unless you're really looking. Cas always had been easy to scare. But she saw her friend walk up on the side walk. Before she was about to get out of the bushes, she could hear laughing and whispers. Along with this weird but tranquil singing. Before Cas could even see anything she sneakily bolted away. Not seeing from her friend again, or hearing about them ever again. Almost like everyone forgot. Cas never can live down what happened. Wondering what happened if she didnt ghost her friend. Ignoring that they needed help, and never letting them see she was there. Would they still be around? Why did everyone forget about them? Would the same thing happen to Cas?

She sighs heavily as she begins to write.
Chance,
I’m sorry about all the unspoken words between us. I wish I there was an easy way to leave you. But that’s the thing: we can’t be with each other without hurting each other. I know how it goes with us. We fight, I get upset with you, and you fall apart trying to please me. It was never your fault that we couldn’t work together. It’s me. It’s always been me.
I’m not good for you. I’ll only hurt you so long as I’m in your life. I know you don’t want to hear that. I wish it wasn’t true. I want to be able to lay in your arms, to watch the foam of your favorite latte get stuck to your upper lip, to laugh with you at the corny jokes in your favorite movie. But even a magic wish wouldn’t be able to save what we had.
I want you to know that I still love you. I’ll always love you, no matter where I go, no matter who I meet. I’ll always be haunted by the ghost of you. I won’t find a love like ours again; it’s the kind that you only get once in a lifetime, if you’re lucky. Our love was special. It was ours, and only ours. I’ll treasure it forever.
She squeezes her eyes shut as her breath shakes, trying to stop a stray tear from rolling down her cheek. She fails.
I’m so sorry I never told you why I was leaving. I’m sorry that I ignored your calls, that I deleted my accounts, that I moved to a new town and didn’t tell anyone, not you, not my friends, not my parents. I know it hurt you. I still listen to your voicemails when I miss your voice. But this is for the best.
We can’t be together.
I’m sorry, Chance.
She gently looks over her writing, wiping away the wet droplet that falls on the faded paper.
Yours, and always yours,
Sorrel
A sudden knock hits her door, and she turns her head.
“Hey Sorrel, are you busy?”
She looks at the letter, holding her breath.
Her paws seem to move on their own as she crumples the paper up, and she throws it into her trash before she answers the door.
“No, I’m free. Are we going somewhere?”

Just to let everyone know, you're welcome to use as many different things as you'd like for the aesthetic (i.e. a moodboard + playlist, etc.)! I had someone ask and I realize I might not have been completely clear.
Have a good day y'all. Please contact me here or on TH - I will no longer be using Discord!

He could see them searching for him, just up the street, standing in a pack like they were ready to capture a lion. His eyes never faltered as he gazed upon them like a predator watching his prey, so careful even to blink more sparsely than normal. It was all he could do to keep his heart from skipping a beat as he glanced down at his phone and saw the message he'd sent earlier, confirming he'd be coming to meet her at this time.
The lines were dotted with sweet words and smiling faces, even a few hearts that had snuck their way in over time. Just looking at them made him want to smile normally, but now it made him pause. She was supposed to be here.
But just as he'd expected, he didn't see a single girl among the bunch. It was a trap after all, carefully laid over the course of weeks as he'd chatted to someone he'd thought might perhaps one day be his better half. His frown deepened as he mulled it over in his mind.
It was really only a stroke of luck that he'd forgotten something at home and had to turn around to grab it, making him late. Now, the petals of the forgotten flowers wilted under his tight grasp as he sighed. He'd found the group suspicious immediately and had settled to watching them from the front window of a store across the street.
They pointed and waited patiently, and once or twice he knew he heard his name slip out of their mouths as they seemed more and more agitated that he hadn't shown. Normally, Kai wouldn't have been one to ghost - in fact, he hated those who did so - but seeming as she hadn't turned up to greet him, it was only fair, right? He dropped the flowers to the linoleum floor and strolled away to distract himself with shopping until the group had vanished.

aesthetic: Apocalyptic WitchDon't look too close, don't you dare▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬The zombie apocalypse had brought a few unexpected things with it: the cooler weather for one thing, the battle of which dead ruler should rule the entire world, and the zombie dudebros who still believed that Axe Body Spray was a reasonable option. The most unexpected thing of all was the creation of the “Find A Boo” dating app, and the success of it.
The app had brought together both the living, the dead, and the monstrous. From your average human, to zombies, werewolves and even the occasional garden gnome and fairy! However, Poppy Pinseed was not among the lucky few. While the first two dates with Chad the Zombie went okay, her latest date had taken a terrible turn that had ended in a bang. A table was now split into two pieces and a few hundred broken plates with meals to boot littered the grounds of a nearby restaurant. Poppy hadn’t planned on going on these dates in the first place, but her familiar had talked her into it. Of course, it was a bit poor to take dating advice from a familiar that believed cats tails sprouted from the middle of the cat’s spine and that they were indeed, correct about this, and yes, they were accurately cat like in appearance and not a creature from a taxidermist’s nightmare.
Poppy sighed audibly as he cell-phone went off again. Chad was not getting the hint. It made Poppy crave brains herself! A bit of critical thinking never hurt anyone.

The texts went on, and on, and on. Poppy simple stopped caring to reply, let alone even read them. Sure, she was a witch, SURE her wand was a baseball bat that she purposely used to smash things with, SURE she broke the table in half, but come on. Someone had to stop Chad from eating that lady’s baby. Poppy simply blocked Chad’s number, opened the dating app again, and started her hunt for a Boo once more.

prompt: This unfortunate story took place on a date Salem had really prepped for. He made sure his fur was spotless and soft. He wore his best accessories; boosting his confidence as much as possible.
Salem isn't usually confident so the following events really upset him. Salem sat alone on a blanket with food he had gotten just for this occasion. He waited moments.. then minutes.. then at least two hours! Sadly enough he admitted defeat and stood to gather his things. "Oh well.." he shook his head and dragged his things home.

[ f1owercrown | Iah | Male | 399/400 ]
Going, going...
Walking home with a friend that afternoon, Iah and he talked of ghosts.
Iah exclaimed, "One could come at me right now, and I wouldn't even
flinch!" causing the duo to laugh. Upon arrival at railroad tracks, they
stopped just after the gate closed, the siren going off to signal an in-
coming train. With a few more laughs, Iah looked up from his friend
and quickly glanced at the other side, where a familiar figure stood.
[ "I'm sorry this is happening. We can still make this work." ]
He suddenly paused and froze as the silhouette shaped itself.
[ "I'll do anything I can to help you. Just let me in." ]
It was becoming clear to him that it was a girl.
[ "Please, it doesn't have to be this way." ]
A young girl, someone he once knew.
[ "Come on, respond. Please."]
Someone he once loved.
[ "It's not your fault." ]
It wasn't his fault.
[ "Iah..." ]
...
"...Iah!"
His friend shouted, nudging Iah's arm. "You okay buddy? Looks like you've
seen a ghost. Thought you weren't afraid of ghosts, huh?"
Iah let out a forced chuckle. "Oh... of course not! Why would I... be afraid
of... ghosts?"
His voice trailed off once again as his mind started to play a memory long
ago, of a youthful time when he was in love and his mother was still alive.
The frames then skipped over too quickly, flashing memories that became
darker with each frame. He was in his mother's hospital room, crying, and
his phone was vibrating with texts and voice mails from the girl he promised
he would get back to. Flashes appeared of him running towards the window,
phone in hand, throwing it out the window in sheer anger and frustration.
In the background, a static heartbeat monitor played. It wasn't my fault, his
voice repeated, over and over. It wasn't my fault.
Maybe he wasn't afraid of ghosts because he was one of them.
With senses back he turned towards the figure at the other side, the girl who
was once the love of his life. For all these ten years he hasn't replied to her,
but now he took in all the strength, clenched his fist, and --
The sudden whiz of the train filled the air, breaking his focus. He was tense for
the whole moment the train passed by, and when finally it cleared, there she was.
...gone.

it was all his fault.
he let out a heavy sigh. his heart ached.
and it was his fault.
-----
she padded up to him, a bit hesitant at first. out of the corner of his eye he saw her shake her head and continue.
"hey Hemlock," she greeted him - but was that a nervous edge to her voice? the usual lightness of her speech was gone.
"hey," he replied, smiling. he silently begged for her to drop it, to forget about it. please don't do it, please don't do it.
but there was no way he could say that.
"so, um..." she smiled weakly and stared at the ground. "I-I've been meaning to tell you this for a while. I-I like you."
the words punched Hemlock in the face. he knew they would, no matter how prepared he'd been.
he swallowed.
"listen," he finally forced out, feeling like there was a prey bone wedged in his throat. he grabbed her paws. "you're the sweetest person I know. you're so smart, funny, kind, and honestly my favorite." he closed his eyes, biting back a sigh. "but I'm sorry. I don't share the same feelings."
her eyes showed more than words could ever say.
"o-oh." her voice cracked.
he tried to pull her into a hug, but she tugged away, suddenly infinitely more times shy. "bye, Hemlock," she breathed, voice barely audible, before scrambling away.
it hurt more than he had ever imagined.
-----
she didn't talk to him anymore.
he loved her jokes, her sincere compliments. why couldn't he still have them? it hadn't been his fault. he hadn't wanted to hurt her, but he'd unwillingly plunged the sharpest dagger in existence into her heart.
into her pride.
into their friendship.
and it was all his fault.
