Over time, I’ve come to notice that people are swayed much easier than waves. Within our lives, words are to people much like wind is to waves, able to coax back and forth, for and against. Waves brush up close to the shore, only to recede back when the circumstances will it. People come and go when fate wishes it, rarely putting up a fight. In friends, I value those who stand against the wind, the words that push and pull at people’s fragile relationships, and stay loyal in turbulent times.
