do they believe in aliens? why/why not?:
Cluster 68 does believe in aliens, no matter how his friends try to convince him they’re not real. In fact, he believes he is half alien. How can he not be with a face like that? When he was six he asked his mom what kind of alien his dad was. She keeps insisting that his dad was a normal guy she met at a convention. But he knows, one day, he’ll meet his dad. And then he’ll leave the earth and finally learn about his people.
extra: (optional, 200 words and 1 art piece)
When he turned 18, Julian went to the courthouse and got his name changed. Cluster 68, short for star cluster M68 within the constellation Hydra. He felt it was a fittingly far out name for someone who was more than a mere earthling.

Do they believe in aliens? why/why not?:
"Wait, what?
I think I heard you incorrectly-- no? Do I believe in aliens?
Well, that depends. What do you define as an alien? A green being with goopy skin and large, black, buggy eyes? Probably not likely, although I suppose it's possible. Although from the look on your face, you were wanting a more serious answer.
Of course, I would. I mean, even someone who is one of the "seeing is believing" skeptics would have to at least admit that there's certainly a chance of them existing. After all, there's no proof that they don't exist, right? You can't refute someone's claim that they don't exist because we don't have proof, if you don't have proof that they don't exist, too. See, while I'm more of a scientist myself, thus leading me to be more of a factual being, I would most definitely admit to believing in aliens. Sure, maybe they don't look like some weird green creature, but it's more likely that they do exist than not. Don't look so skeptical; my specialty is studying the extraterrestrial. And for record's sake, extraterrestrial just means outside of Earth, not necessarily aliens in particular. But it does include them, yes.
Although, my biggest question. Why are you asking me this? After all, you're right in front of me.
Of course, I'd believe that you exist."
Extra:
Eltus, being a scientist and researcher for the government, has quite the dangerous job. Not only does he deal with difficulties from his own research projects-- currently a supposed alien that recently arrived to Earth-- but also from other opposing research groups and organizations. Many do not agree with his branch of work nor the methods that the government take, and many others want his research for themselves. While Eltus is not officially forced to keep his position, he is aware that if he left, the government would ensure that his research results do not get out. Because of this, he is constantly paranoid about others and for his safety.
However, despite this looming threat, Eltus always puts his best effort into everything he does, including with the newfound alien. This creature arrived recently from somewhere in space, and the only information known is that this creature appears to be young, like a child. While Eltus may not enjoy being almost like a parent to this new creature, he took the responsibility as he understands that many others in his department may not treat them with kindness, but with hatred, instead.
