Utroylara was a universal hotspot for entertainment technology. But Climate change became a threat due to “profit before protection.” Generations later, Utroylara is destroyed: continents sunk, waters polluted. Disasters ravage land. Natives live in villages, escaping underwater if needed, braving the sea until they can afford to escape, if ever.

one thing they miss the most:
While there isn’t much to desire, Aviva does miss her community. Unlike Earth, everyone looked out for one another. Her world had so few resources that conflict wasted more than it gained. Everyone knew each other; all was resolved peacefully. The separation and lack of love on earth unnerves Aviva.

one thing they miss the most: she most misses the cotton candy trees and grass, because it made for a tasty snack whenever you were hungry. it also looked very pretty among the scenery regardless if it was day or night.

A jungle planet, full with water and life, rivers running every which way, where
people work out in the open and pull their braids back in ponytails, where the
air is thick with chatter and the smell of dirt from farms. She grew yams,
cooked, braided her sisters' hair.

One thing they miss the most

Her sister, whose name E has forgotten. E's sister carved tiny wooden dolls
for her little sisters, coloring their eyes with charcoal, using twisted grass for
their hair. She taught E how to cook and braid. When E tries to picture her
family, all she sees is her sister's face.
She had a light laugh and glowing eyes; she dated the girl who got water from the same river they did. She taught E how to cook and braid hair, just like E's father taught her how to grow food, and she tried to teach her how to sing but couldn't do it./
Whenever E tries to think of home, she remembers her sister, singing or chopping yams or running down the road or concentrated on her carving or holding her when she cried. She can't remember the face or voice of anyone else in her family, only her.
