Personality [150-250 words] ||
Rex is a no-nonsense kind of Kalon. He puts up a front that he hides behind to keep private, as he likes to control who he shows what to. If he allows you to see him as he really is, then he must trust you a lot, but you do have to earn that position. It’s not particularly difficult, as he doesn’t consider others to be very untrustworthy, but he just appreciates his privacy and if you show him respect then he’ll be much more comfortable. The way he can come across to those that don’t know him is quite cold and distant, looking out for number one. But if you look deeper than that, he really seems to care about those around him. As he is now, he is vulnerable, having woken up without everything that he used to know. He is confused, and scared, and hides that for fear of being taken advantage of. However, he knows how to adapt, and will become more confident in his surroundings the longer he interacts with them.
Where are they from? Where are they now, and how do they react? [300-400 words] ||
Rex made his home, so long ago, among giants. We now refer to these creatures as dinosaurs. Life amongst these massive creatures was never easy, but his much smaller size (compared to most anyway) was something he used to his advantage. Like many other smaller mammals, Rex did what he had to in order to survive. It was a dinosaur eat everything world, but he made it work, just living each day as it came. Of course this meant he was always on edge, making him keep his guard up constantly. After all, anything could be hiding behind the next bush, or in the tree, or amongst the ferns.
After waking up, Rex’s world was turned upside down. Gone were the dangers that he was used to, replaced with all new threats that he had no idea how to respond to. You would think that he would find it easier, but with everything being so different it was a little hard for him to adjust. The forests had been replaced with concrete, with buildings taking the place of the giant redwoods and reptiles that once towered above him. There were others like him everywhere, but they didn’t need to be afraid. Not in the same ways anyway.
