Ever since Kanon had first visited Tokyo, away from her small home town tucked away in southern Japan, her fondness grew for the hustle and bustle of the city. The excitement of the lights and people surrounding her in Shibuya square was reflected on her own visage; it was as though the very foundation of the skyscrapers all about radiated a joyful atmosphere. She found this feeling to fade in her next visits, and it to disappear all together when she moved to the large city for university. While the business of Tokyo was exciting to her, she found herself missing the more traditional aspects of her old life in Kyushu. After university, she travelled throughout Japan, in hopes of finding a place that truly resonated with her. One place in particular caught her eye: Hirosaki. While being centered around a traditional castle, the town also had many of the same, tall buildings which first caught her eyes in Tokyo. To Kanon, it was a perfect mix of modern and old; the history was visible all around her, but she could also experience all of the modern conveniences and beauties she admired.
