I chose this song because it's about falling in love with someone so hard only to realize that there's a possibility that these feelings are unrequited but you're not entirely upset. Sure you're going to still love that person forever even after they leave and you feel lost, but you know that you'll be okay in the end and life goes on. "It gets better". That's something "V" relates to strongly, as they know heartache like the back of their hand but know that it's not the end of the world. They are quick to get over break ups and have learned to deal with rejection like you would your first language. This is seen as mature for their age, but to them it's just the right way to deal with things.
