Alright guys, it's finally been judged! I really wish I had the power to offer HM's because there were so many wonderful forms ;u;
Special Mentionspupsoda;; Your form was absolutely wonderful! I loved your story about Fauna's love for the paranormal, as well as how you connected it to her relationship with her father. It reminds me a bit of Alice in Wonderland, with it being so whimsical. I really hope you make this into a longer story- I'd love to know where her father went, and if/when she ever sees him again. I'd also love to hear about whether or not she becomes an actual paranormal investigator, and how that works out for her. Very well done!
♡Chocolate♡;; I really enjoyed the character you made for Benjamin! He seems like a really cool guy with a lot of stories to tell. I also loved how you incorporated the scarf into his story, and made it very personal. The farming occupation was also a nice touch, and I like how it worked into the "spooky" theme.
waterfront ;; I know that your form wasn't completed (the link doesn't work, also) but I had to mention the wonderful art! I love what you did for the expression, and your art style is adorable!
The Worst Username;; I'm really disappointed that this wasn't completed, but what you had was very intriguing! I wish I could see the finished product, and really do encourage you to keep writing the story. Your word choice and imagery is breath-taking, and as a fan of literature, I loved every second of it! Please continue to write <3
OswinTheFox;; Ahh this story really pulled at my heart strings! Even though it was heartbreaking, I enjoyed the story very much! It was a very cute idea, and I loved how you made the scarf the center of your form. You did a wonderful job, though I wish Gimp would learn to love again D: </3
trans;; I really liked your form. You included a lot of interesting parts about Wisteria, and it was really fun to get to learn about the character (especially the libra bit, as I'm a libra!) I especially enjoyed her relationship with her grandmother/the story of her scarf; I'm very close with my grandmother, so it was easy to relate! I hope you use Wisteria's character in another adopt, because I really love the idea!
Finally....we have the winner....!benjamin. is the winner of this comp! I was blown away by the creativity and writing in your form. Being a lover of literature, Ellis' character really stood out to me. I loved reading about the mystery behind his character, only to have it explained near the end. He reminds me a lot of J.D. Salinger (author of "Catcher in the Rye") who was a real-life recluse toward the end of his life. I also completely
adored Ellis' "Misfortune of Mice" (was it a play on "Of Mice and Men?" If so, then that's awesome because it's one of my favorite novels!) and how it related to his real life. I was impressed that you went above and beyond to include a passage from the actual story (which, by the way, sounds like a wonderful read!)
I really can't wait to see how you expand Ellis' character. It would also be wonderful to see "Misfortune of Men" become a thing, and I highly suggest you make that come to life! You did an astounding job- you've definitely earned this win, and should be proud.
Thank you so much to everyone who entered. Whether you were mentioned here or not, please know that I read through everyone's form and there wasn't a single one that I didn't enjoy. It means a lot that you all took the time to try out for this little guy, and I want to encourage you to enter other competitions, perhaps even with the characters you made for this one. It was a blast reading through all of the forms!
