“I can’t believe you convinced me to wear this. I look like a glow
stick with wings.” Cadmus whined, attempting to fix the antennae
headband as it drooped over his face.
“Consider it payback for the cow costume you made me wear last
year.” Astra teased, smirking as she helped him fix the antennae.
“You have to admit a farmer and his cow was a fun idea.” He
laughed.
“Not when you’re the cow.” She retorted, giggling as they begun to
leave for a party.
“True.” Cadmus chuckled, already starting to plan next year’s
costumes as he followed Astra.

"Castiel, what should I be for Halloween...what will YOU be for Halloween?!" His feet danced
on the ground, impatience growing "HALLOWEEN!?" The grown male grunted, looking down "I
am much too old for Halloween that is for kids" Is That Today?? He asked himself, pacing.
"Well if you don't choose, I will dress you up myself! You are short no one will ever know you
are a grown up!" He giggled and squealed, bolting into the restroom, returning after only a
moment, a roll of toilet paper with him "You will be a toilet paper monsterrrr!" Castiel looked
at the child, and cringed, "You mean a mumm-" "NO! A toilet paper monster! Think outside the
roll!" The boy took the roll, and began to wrap the blue Kalon up "What should i pick out for MY
costume?" He asked once more. Castiel let out an aggrivated sigh, looking eye level ad the MUCH
younger individual "Good riddence Florence I don't know! I mean you won't have to change much,
you are already my worst nightmare" He shuddered. What in the world have i gotten myself into.

halloween costumes ;;

hovik is dressed up in a solid black dress shirt, with intricate coal-like buttons fastened all the way up to his throat. he has on black pants, black boots, and a black cummerbund to match, while on his head sits a small, silver crown that speaks of his character's status. hovik appears very stiff in posture; he looks regal yet very dark and grim.
cradled in hovik's left arm is a skull. it rests there gently, made of white painted plastic with dull cracks and shadows. it is presumably an old motion-detecting, light-up decoration that broke the year before, and, without a proper use, has been sitting on hovik's shelf waiting for its day of fame. hovik has named this skull yorick to match his own costume: hamlet.

mapiya's costume is much more elegant. she is dolled up in a light blue gown the color of hovik's fur, with a prominent a-line neck accentuating her body's décolletage while a large, red section of fabric brings your attention immediately to down the front of the gown. this dress is in an old-fashioned renaissance style, with gold rope lining the transitions in fabric, red lace along the lower sleeves, sewn-in bumps along her upper sleeves, and long trails of blue fabric handing from her elbows. a matching red ribbon circlet keeps her hair in place while a long, translucent, red veil hangs in the back. for a costume bought for $30 in a pop-up halloween store, the dress is absolutely stunning.
mapiya holds a bouquet of flowers in one hand while a crown of flowers rests around the elbow of that same arm. white face paint makes the girl look pale, which is fitting for someone like ophelia who is no longer alive; she went mad, tried to hang her handmade flower crowns on the branch of a willow tree, and fell into the water, all the while laughing and singing. mapiya enjoys this little back story, cackling upon occasion at teenagers that walk past her and hovik to appear insane herself. he, on the other hand, would rather stick to reciting the play.

the two enjoy theater, gaining their inspiration from a play they read in english class in seventh grade. hamlet was their favorite with deep meanings, angst, and no lack of drama; although shakespeare's word choice seems whimsical, it is dark and lifeless all the same. on days after school, hovik will walk to mapiya's house to practice reading lines from their favorite plays while they have a snack. both hope to audition soon for a school play and have been diligently working on their lines; they're practically guaranteed main characters at this point, they're just so dedicated!

All I was afraid of is saying good-bye.

Seeing as these two are the best of best friends- according to Thorn- it was only fitting that they should dress up as each other's tail shines! Thorn thought so at least, and being the only heir to a very wealthy family gives one the means to achieve any whim that may cross your mind. Even if that whim is paying someone to sew your friend custom costume parts and importing an award winning, giant pumpkin to literally wear, all at the last minute.

What was Despair's opinion on these choices?
