As a child Tierno never understood why everyone liked pizza and decided to try it. He was weirded out by the gooey cheese and believed that the tomato sauce was blood. When he was in his early teens he was trying to get over his fear of pizza but his mean foster parent forced him to eat a whole large pizza which traumatized him. Once he was a old enough he moved out with the help of his friends and thanks to them, tried pizza again and found it to be delicious and not something to be in fear of.

Trees moving in the night. The sound of leaves rustling, branches scraping, and trunks creaking was Dubhán's biggest fear until they started venturing out into the darkness. As they got older they grew to love the white noise of the trees, finding comfort in the noise instead of fear. Dubhán now finds the night more interesting and stays up into the wee hours of the morning.
