Why do they hide their face?(Max. 200 words)
Yoana hides her face to keep her identity a secret. When the sun goes down, Yoana can be founding wandering the streets of her city with a few cans of spray paint and her mask covering her face. By wearing the mask, no one knows it's her creating big works of art on the walls of the city. She loves the anonymousy she gets from it, she loves the idea that she could ask anyone on the street what they think of her work, and they'll give her an honest opinion because they don't think the artist is listening.

The mask also makes it harder for her to be found when the police are looking for a vandal someone called in. She can just take it off and instantly she is back to being regular old Yoana.

Why do they hide their face?

"Is this your card?"
The young kalon's face dropped as the masked magician laid down the nine of diamonds on the red velvet tablecloth. The crowd murmured in disbelief.
"How did you know that was my card?" the youngster demanded while searching his coin purse for the agreed payment.
"A magician never reveals his secrets", the masked kalon replied. He shuffled his card deck and collected his payment.
"Alright, the show's over for the day. Come back tomorrow - same time, same street corner", he announced.

The audience began to disperse. As the magician started to pack his belongings, a curious child approached him. The kit hesitated for a moment with a puzzled look.
"Why do you hide your face?" they then inquired.
The magician lowered himself to the kit's eye level and lifted his mask, revealing kind blue eyes.
"Can you keep a secret?" he asked the child.
The kit nodded.
"It's for the magic. When they can't see your face, they won't be able to guess what's coming. And it helps when you're cheating in card games", the kalon smirked.
The child chuckled and ran off. The magician put his mask back on.

Why do they hide their face?(Max. 200 words)
When Nanashi was just a little boy he often got odd glances when he would speak. It seemed that his oddly colored teeth would draw attention and it wasn't attention he desired. Soon Nanashi stopped talking completely for the fear of opening his mouth and allowing others to see his bizarre teeth.
When Nanashi was a teen he was placed in a home with an elderly woman. She couldn't quite understand why he wouldn't open his mouth around her. So one day she asked him and he wrote on a piece of paper explaining himself to her. She didn't say much she just gave him a pitied smile and left the conversation at that.
About a week later the old woman came to him and handed him a box. When he opened the box he found a beautifully designed hand crafted mask. The old woman was so happy and asked if he would put it on. She also asked if he liked it and if he'd be willing to speak to her now.
He gave her a hug then nodded and said yes. No one had ever done something so sweet for him and he hasn't taken it off since.

Ever since he was young, Neb was constantly told how beautiful he was. When he was young, he basked in the praise but it began to make him uncomfortable as he grew older. It disturbed him that people would treat him better simply because of his appearance, after all, he met plenty of people who's exterior beauty failed to reach their insides. Additionally, many people would befriend him simply because he was good looking and he hated how falsely sweet they were and how they never cared about what kind of a person he was. So he came up with the idea to wear a mask. After all, if they could not see him, they could not praise his face. But they did. They told him how his eyes shone like stars and that if eyes are windows to the soul, his soul must be beautiful as well. So he grew his hair to cover his eyes and if anyone asked about the mask, he told them that it covered horrible scars. He is lonelier now, but at least the friends he has are genuine.

Why do they hide their face?(Max. 200 words)
At a young age, Kanarii's family was one of many who
had been involved in the dreadful sweep of the smallpox
virus. Hundreds passed away due to the disease, and
those who didn't, lived to regret it. Numerous were left
with horrible scars, some wishing death rather than
disgrace. Both Kanarii and her mother were survivors.
Her father was not so lucky. After his death, Kanarii was
left with an appalling scar. Her beauty, once the jewel of
her mother's eye, was now nothing more than a defect in
her eyes. Her mother left her, wishing sanctuary from the
horror she was forced to see each day. Kanarii, alone and
broken, was forced to mature and rebuild herself, piece
by piece. While she felt no shame for her scar, others
would see it and keep distance. Kanarii only sought to make
her presence in this world as one undisturbed by the clenches
of her scar.

She wore a mask, not only to hide its menacing aura, but to give herself a different appearance. Kanarii was going to reinvent herself, unknown to others. Midst the imperfection, there was beauty in her blemishes.
