On the darkest of evenings, when the clouds have passed to reveal the infinite twilight, Avery finds herself resting atop an aged tree blanketed with dew-clad leaves. Her silvery eyes search the sky above her, observing the flecks of white fire that burn hundreds of miles away. She dips her head to look at her own fur, puffed up to defend herself against the cool breeze, a seemingly mirrored image of the sky above. And as she continues to lean against the branch that she will call home for the night, Avery compares herself to the sky, and sometimes, if she's lucky, she finds constellations within herself. These are her favorite nights; the nights that look down on her with a sense of belonging. And so, wandering the dark, cold woods, Avery finds warmth and home in her favorite hobby of stargazing...
