Name:
Kimura - meaning ghost flame in Japanese.
Gender:
female
Personality:
Kimura is an interesting soul. She has a very shy exterior, and is a definite introvert. She enjoys peaceful activities that get her brain going. Although she doesn't talk much, she is definetly someone who has a lot to say. Because of this, she often finds herself filling up journals with thoughts and ideas, or writing them wherever she can. Once you are very close to her, she is much more thoughtful and creative. She is in tune with emotions more than you may think.
There are some downsides to this. Kimura finds it difficult to be assertive. She is very selfless and often finds herself stressed from lack of self care. Getting over emotional obstacles is hard for her as well. She is very emotional in difficult situations, meaning the healing process is long. Also, she finds herself very hesitant to depend on others, as she can be untrusting at times.

History/Backstory:
Kimura was born on August 3rd in Tokyo, Japan. Two months after she was born, her parents immigrated to America, leaving her behind in an orphanage called Blooming Waters. Life was difficult there, mainly due to Kimura's creative mind. She often wondered where her parents had went. Different explanations frequently would pop in her head. They went to slay an unlucky dragon and The spirits of the Lantern called for them are just a couple of her thoughts. Other children at the orphanage thought it was ridiculous that she thought this. They teased her for such insane thoughts. The only Kalon she felt comfortable trusting was the caretaker, Piebald. She was a young kalon, college age perhaps, who had traveled from America for a year to volunteer at the Orphanage. Kimura loved her. She would run to her and talk for hours about all the different ideas popping out of her head, and Piebald would write poems and raps about the imaginative stories.
Food was never really a direct interest for Kimura. She wasn't a picky eater, and she ate just enough, but it wasn't one of the thoughts that was constantly on her mind. This resulted in her never really understanding the interest in it some of the other kits had. They would talk about the delicious smell of the lunch today, and Kimura would get distracted from her thoughts, smelling the air. It didn't peak her interest at all.
Piebald left at the end of the year, leaving Kimura with a warm goodbye and her notebook full of rap lyrics. Kimura didn't really understand it, but she kept it close anyway.
At the age of 6, a Kalon named Genevieve traveled to Japan, with Piebald. Piebald went back to the orphanage with Genevieve and signed forms to adopt Kimura. Turns out Genevieve was Piebald's daughter. Kimura was excited to go to America, hundreds of imaginative thoughts of what it might be like sprouting in her head.
Piebald said that they were going to a place called New Orleans. The name was strange to Kimura, but she loved the thought of it. She wondered if there were different creatures in America, like purple cats and giant koi fish. When she arrived she was disappointed to find the creatures weren't very different,
Kimura didn't know much of the English language. Piebald had taught her some in her year volunteering, but that was it. Luckily, Kimura was a fast learner. She was homeschooled by Piebald and Genevieve.
Kimura, as a teenager, worked at a pizza restaurant. It certainly was an unlikely thing for her, since food wasn't interesting to Kimura, but she still enjoyed making the pizzas and driving around. She moved out at eighteen, and got a little woodland cottage in New Orleans. Eventually she met two Kalons, a mysterious blue Kalon and a jittery yellow one. She often spotted them walking in the woods by her house, a handful of others following behind them.
She gathered up the courage one day to greet them. They warmed up to her quickly, and told her about their clans, or rather, gangs. Kimura had heard of this kind of thing before, and danger popped up in her head.
Once she hesitantly got to know them more, though, she realized they were normal Kalons just like her.
After three months, they offered she make a gang. The first thing she felt was curiousity, and then excitement. Anxiously, she agreed, and she began to look around for Kalons just like her. A 13 year old named Ro was her first choice, whom was very blunt and logical. Then, a 16 named Gwynne, who was kind and loyal.
Kimura loves walking with Blue and Yellow through the woods, with all the other gang members. She even is set on making it a competition, to see who can get more followers.
What makes them a good leader:
Kimura is very kind and easy on her followers. She never pushes them too hard and gives them frequent breaks when needed. A strong bond is what she shares most with them, and it's what she feels is most important in a team.
Relationship with the other leaders:
Kimura is good friends with Blue and Yellow. She loves having friendly little competitions with them, and chatting with them about what's going on around the town, and how their members are doing. She finds herself spewing ideas upon ideas to quick Yellow, and listening to tranquil Blue. There is a bit of a rivalry between her and Blue, though. And Yellow and Blue seem more keen to team up with eachother.
Relation to element:
Kimuras name is one of the closest links to the fire element. Ghost fire relates to her personality; it gives thoughts of wispy flames, shy mystery, and passion. Her constant flow of unique thoughts also ties to crackling fire.
Short Story:
Kimura sat in her bunk bed, letting her tail hang off the side of the bed. She sighed in relaxation, laying back and closing her eyes. Just as she began to fall into dreams, she was awoken by a frustrated stomping.
Jumping up from her bed, she groaned as her head hit the top bunk. Now a bit grumpy herself, she yawned, twitching an ear stumbling out of bed. A distant bickering could be heard from outside the door.
"No, I want the last Green Tea Candy!" snarled a squeaky voice.
"Too bad! I want it more,so it's mine!" A calm voice objected. Kimura grew curious.
She pad toward the door and bit back a squeak as a brown kit rolled onto her paw, gnawing fiestily at a bigger, blue kit's tail. Kimura leaped back, and watched in confusion as the two fought over what seemed to be a tiny green block.
Favorite Pokemon partner and why:
Kimura's favorite Pokemon type is Ghost. She loves the mystery behind the type. But there is nothing she loves more than a big, fluffy, powerful dog, The closest thing to that is Arcanine. She loves everything about the loyal Pokemon.

I know I've said it before, but thank you all for your patience while I judged this!

There are 6 winners total, 2 for each contest! As much as I wanted to award more runner ups, I really don't want to flood myself with more work than I can handle. (3 RUs are probably my limit right now.)

    Valor Winners

    Winner: Placebo
Everything about your form, from his history to his personality, had me convinced he was the perfect character for this design. I'm proud that Tiago is my team's leader. (The brownies sound incredible btw.)

    RU: Bentley
The character development in your form was not only impressive, but it was clear that you and your team worked so hard to create the story between the three leaders. Nice job!
Your RU will be second in command to the leader and be based on a FLAREON!

Here are the honorable mentions! I wish you all luck in getting kalons in the future!
    - VixenGlass
    - Noxyum
    - Bright Horizons

//heavy breathing

I'm cackling oml I'm so happy ;^; hiss yeessss my floofy gang leaderrrrr ;u;

Thank you so much Starbitee! Tiago (hgnn this beautiful kiddo) will be much loved! There's still so much I wanna add to his backstory but the influx that is school just didn't allow me to develop him past what I already had written out beforehand. I have so many ideas still in store for Theo >:0c the brownies are that incredible btw- all of the talent that he has for cooking goes straight into those brownies and then he'll turn around and burn water

Congrats on your runner-up, Bentley! When you're flareon kalon is made, I'd love for them to have some type of relationship<3 Congrats to VixenGlass, Noxyum, and Bright Horizons as well for their hms!
