❝Ah, weddings, momentous occasions in which two people are joined in holy matrimony so that they may live a happy life together until one or the either drops dead.❞

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx【A Bite and a Boy】 ▪ Wedding Memory ▪ ғᴜʟʟ sᴛᴏʀʏindentMilly's eyes shifted back and forth, side to side. She took a step backwards, glancing around to make sure no one was watching. She then swiftly spun around, her legs almost moving on their own as they took her behind the table. Just one piece, that's all, she thought to herself, holding back the urge to devour the entire lower layer of the beautifully crafted cake. She almost didn't want to ruin it, but she was so hungry, and it looked so good. For one last time, her eyes darted around the area. Everyone was way too busy to pay mind to the random girl that faded into the background, even if she had been a bridesmaid for the wedding. For once, it was a relief.
indentThe wedding ceremony had taken place a little bit ago. She’d stood near the arch in front of the aisle, accompanied by multiple other bridesmaids. She’d watched as all the singles in the audience send jealous stares towards her mother, the bride, as she was walked down the aisle. She’d watched as she and Rod, the groom, stared each other dead in the eyes, smiling and teary eyed as the priest spoke his words like he’d rehearsed them a million times before. She’d watched as they passionately kissed and sealed the deal, and she watched everyone cheer before the more anxious of people finally dismissed themselves. It was terribly boring, and now her legs ached from all the standing around. The whole scene would have been sweet anyway, if Milly could have stopped thinking about what life would be like with a father that she barely even considered a friend.
indentBut no matter. Every single person who had attended the wedding - the bride, the groom, the bridesmaids, best man, flower girl, the guests - they were all up now, chatting away and completely disregarding the unmanned cake. Her mother, and now father, were taking much too long to get around to cutting the first slice. Milly could wait no longer.
indentSlowly and carefully, Milly leaned in towards the tall, highly decorated dessert. She opened her mouth, shut her eyes, and took the tiniest possible nibble. All she managed to get was the florescent frosting, but it was delicious. She took another bite, one that was significantly larger, and this time she got a mouth full of the sugary sweet frosting as well as the spongy food underneath it. Vanilla was a good choice; Courtesies of her truly, Milly, when her mom couldn’t decide between vanilla or chocolate. She let out a blissful sigh as she chewed. If only for this singular moment, going to the wedding was entirely worth it.
indentThe plumie's ears perked up. She lifted her head so fast she made herself dizzy. Her knees buckled, and she crawled beneath the table, her heart racing. Someone had seen her. He'd been staring right at her, his face displaying a look of amusement. She felt her face burning, the embarrassment drilling a hole right through her chest. She must have sat beneath that table for ages, peering out between the small opening between the tablecloth and the grassy ground. Her eyes followed a variety of paws walking by. She watched as everyone eventually shifted places, gathering around some bit away to watch the bride do... something or other; Milly couldn’t tell from that position. It was then that Milly, as inconspicuously as possible, slid out from under the table and stood up.
indent"Yo, how long were you planning on hiding down there?"
indentHer heart froze. It was a soft, masculine, teasing voice. Her head turned to the person like rusted machinery; slow and unsteady.
indent“H-H-How long were- were you standing there...?” Her voice was on edge, terrified, utterly devastated. Her heart was thumping so hard she thought it’d rip itself out of her chest. She wasn’t sure if it was because the man had given her such a scare, or if it was because he had known she was hiding beneath a table. And- he... he was the same guy who’d seen her take a bite of the cake. Of course it was. That made it oh so much better. At that point, Milly had began slowly backing away from both him and the cake, but he seemed adamant about following her.
indent“Long enough to start worrying about you.” His voice was so smooth, it was almost otherworldly.
indent“Oh, oh, that, that’s good, just great... Ah so, look-”
indent“You have crumbs on your face.”
indentMilly gasped and looked away, baffled at how this situation kept getting worse and worse. “I do?!” She stuck her tongue out, licking up what she could of the crumbs. She turned back after she was more or less sure that there was nothing left on her face. She couldn’t keep eye contact with the man, who looked to be around her age. “Aha, so, you see, um, I’d really, seriously appreciate if you avoided telling anyone about this...”
indentThe man chuckled and nodded. “Yeah, no problem. Yo, call me sometime, how ‘bout it?” He winked and took a step back, then turned away from Milly, quickly trotting off without another word, and before Milly could get a chance to respond.
indent“Wait! You never even told me how to contact you...” Milly tilted her head, a confused look across her face. She considered chasing after him, but by the time she thought up the idea, she’d lost him in the crowd. She sighed a breath of exhaustion, of relief, of hope; Hope that she’d run into him again, and hope that, for the love of God, no one else saw her eating the cake or noticed her hiding under the table. She didn’t even understand why she wanted to see him again; She'd only just met him, and trying to talk to him would almost certainly leave her horribly embarrassed, but for some reason...
indent“Heey, someone dug into the cake already!” Milly tensed up, her shoulders stiff. She looked to her side, the cake now a few meters away since she’d backed up.
indent“Yep, that’s my queue... I’m out-” And with those words, Milly’s legs sent her running off into the crowd in the same direction as the man she’d just spoke to, the man that she would one day call her husband...░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░▪

personality (extra one)
❥ Caring
It’s only natural for the grandma type person she is.
She genuinely concerns about other people, whether
or not she knows them very well. She helps care for
those who need it; She regularly volunteers to tem-
porarily look after those who can’t, or who have
difficulty, caring for themselves, for whatever their
reason may be. She listens to what people have to say
without question, and does her best to give them real
advice on their current life issues.
❥ Calm
Milly is, admittedly, a very worrisome person, but one
would never guess from looking at her. She always keep
her calm, she’s always smiling and speaking like she’s
as relaxed as can be, like she doesn’t have a worry in
the world. She is not easily angered, and even when she
is made upset, she tries her best to act untroubled. Part
of this has to do with her inability to properly show her
emotions, though she also believes that, by staying calm
herself, it will help to soothe others around her that may
be a bit nervous about something or other.

She “couldn’t hurt a fly,” as the saying goes. She
is careful about how she phrases things when talking
to someone about a sensitive subject, as she is det-
ermined to cause as few negative feelings in others
as possible. Her touch is light, never enough to cause
any pain whatsoever. She even treats inanimate
objects with the utmost care; It’s a rare day when she
breaks something, and, quite frankly, that’s usually
the fault of someone else.
❥ Elegant
Milly is effortlessly graceful. Her movements are
soft, never abrupt or harsh, unless she is startled.
She holds herself high, and she walks in a straight
line. She speaks in a smooth tone, never raising her
voice, rarely stuttering. Her words are carefully
chosen, and she does not swear for any reason. Milly
dresses simple, but tastefully. She avoids anything
too gaudy, and mostly wears things that could be
considered mildly pricey.

❥ Kind
She is a good-natured old soul, always doing her
best to brighten someone’s day. She is friendly to
all people, whether they are friends, family, or
strangers. She considers other’s feelings more
than her own; If she sees that someone needs a
seat, she will gladly give up her own for them.
Even when behind their back, Milly could not
speak negatively of someone, unless, of course,
they had done a truly dishonorable thing (i.e.,
cheating on their mate or stealing someone’s
prized possession).
❥ Giving
What’s hers, is yours. She shares her possessions,
or simply gives them away, as she is not a very
materialistic person. If she were to see an upset
child, she would buy them a plushie from a close
by shop, or give them a piece of candy that she
most definitely was carrying around with her for
exactly this reason. She lives to make others
happy, and if that means gifting all who she can,
then she has no problem with that.

Unfortunately, Milly takes things a little too hard.
Close friends have had to learn that, if they want
to comment on her in a way that’s not a compli-
ment, they have to be super careful about the way
they word it, or she’ll end up overthinking it and
ultimately becoming really depressed. Milly under-
stands that this is an issue, but it’s something that’s
always been true about her, and she doesn’t believe
she’ll be able to change this.
❥ Loving
Milly very much loves her family and friends; Other-
wise, she wouldn’t call them as such. Though she cares
for everyone, she puts considerably more effort into
showing her devotion to her loved ones. They are what
keeps her going, and without them, she’s not sure what
she would do with herself. She’s also strangely affect-
ionate towards plushies; She has a fair sized collection
of stuffed animals, that’s for certain.

When Milly sets her mind to something, you can
safely bet that she isn’t going to change her mind
about it. When she strongly believes something, it’s
near impossible to convince her otherwise, even if
you show her actual facts that prove her wrong.
When she decides that she is going to do something,
no one will be able to stop her without using physical
constraints. She has a will of iron, and she is deter-
mined to think and do what she wants to.
❥ Quiet
She isn’t too terribly talky, but when she does
speak, she keeps her voice more on the low side.
Similarly, she’s not as active as she maybe
should be, as she prefers to sit and watch rather
than participate. She’s very hush hush about
things when she needs to be; i.e., when she needs
to keep a secret (likely for someone else). In
general, she just isn’t a very loud person, except
possibly when she’s expressing her excitement for
something, in which case, she’s kind of jumpy.

She loves to give presents, she never yells, she’s never rude, and she’s got an elegant fashion sense. Disagreeing with her is normally an impossibility, because she always thinks about what’s best for everyone else, and in that way, she’s usually right. Overall, she’s just a generally great person that’s easily likeable, when she’s not being a little too overly affectionate. ღ Strongest Positive Trait: Loving
Her all around compassion for others is what keeps her running. It’s crazy how much she feels for other people; Sometimes she feels like her heart is going to explode if she loves anymore. She feels what other people are feeling, and honestly wants to help.ღ Strongest Negative Trait: Nosy
While Milly spends a lot of her time trying to help people out, which is a very kind thing to do, she ends up coming off as super nosy. She accidentally tries to get too involved in people’s personal problems, and only ends up bothering them.ღ Optimist or Pessimist:
Milly is super optimistic about everything. She always believes that the outcome will be good, whether or not the odds are against her. She believes that, if one has no hope whatsoever, than their outcome definitely will not be as good as it could have been.ღ Introvert or extrovert:
Actually, “ambivert” would be a better way to describe Milly. She’s not quite an introvert, because she likes talking to people and going out, but she’s not entirely and extrovert either, because sometimes she’s a hermit, and she’s not often the one to initiate conversation.ღ Patience level: Extremely high.
It’s ridiculously hard to get Milly to a point where she actually snaps. She spends a lot of time hanging out with kids, and so naturally, she grew to have a very high patience for people. However, she's more easily annoyed when it's someone older that's bugging her.░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░art (extra two) wrote:░░

░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░story (extra three)indent“Do you have a dream?”
indent“Yes, two.”
indent“What are they? How did you come to recognize your dreams?”
indent“Aha, well, that requires a little bit of storytelling, doesn’t it?”
...
indentShe stared at her creation. It was only one layer tall, because there weren’t going to be very many people eating it. The frosting was smooth and white, like the ground right after it snows, though maybe not as sparkly. On top of the white was frequent polka dots of varying sizes, some blue, some green, others yellow, and of course, there was pink as well. Underneath the frosting was red, fluffy cake; red velvet, as requested. It was a cute little cake, decorated well for a person who hadn’t frosted more than two cakes in her entire life. It turned out, she quite enjoyed the process of baking and decorating a cake. Milly wouldn’t mind doing this as a hobby, or even as a job. She was actually starting to consider it, but...
indent“Hun, how’s the cake go- Oh, wow, you finished? Looks great!” He reached for the cake, about to grab a dab of icing when he was promptly slapped away. Milly gave her husband a playful glare.
indent“No touching, this is for Tracy’s baby shower, remember? It has to be perfect.”
indentThe man laughed and nodded. “Right, got it. You better get going then, the party starts soon, doesn’t it?”
...
indent”Woooo!” Six friends cheered and took a swig of their drinks. They laughed and smiled, exchanging playful glances.
indent“Aah, guys, thanks, this is great,” commented the one woman, a subtle grin plastered across her face. “Honestly wasn’t expecting a party,” she continued with a hearty laugh.
indent“Thought you deserved to celebrate your last minutes of freedom,” another woman replied.
indent“Babies are lot of work, I should know. Had two of the little rugrats, and boy, let me tell you, they destroyed my social life. But you love them anyway, as nonsensical as it may seem. And you know-”
indent“Okay okay, let someone else have a chance to talk, will ya?”
indentMilly listened to the others chat back and forth, enjoying each other’s company. One of her best friends, Tracy, was pregnant, and so Milly had suggested to their friends that they throw a baby shower. It was the nice thing to do, and so obviously Milly would jump at the opportunity to make it a reality. So far, the party had gone fairly well, though it’d only started about fifteen minutes ago. They’d popped confetti poppers and drank and had a real stupid conversation about why two year olds always seem to be screaming and running around and causing mayhem. Now, it was time to open the gifts; Originally they were going to wait a while longer, but Tracy was adamant about opening her presents as soon as possible. She always had liked getting things from people.
indent“Oh, we should totally get some cake while you open presents, Tracy. Milly made it herself, I bet it’ll be super good!” A remark made by one of the more innocent friends in the group. Everyone nodded and agreed, saying how their stomachs were growling or how they hadn’t had cake in forever.
indentMilly smiled. “Don’t get your hopes up, I’ve never made a cake on my own before.”
indent“Nonsense! I’m sure it’ll be wonderful. You make killer cookies,” Tracy reassured her as she slowly wobbled towards the cake. She winked at Milly as she passed by and whispered, “Thanks. For the cake, but also the party, I mean. I really needed it.”
indentAfter that, everyone cut themselves some cake, managing to leave a little left on the plate. Milly had made more than she’d thought she did, for which she was glad. Everyone moved away from the cake and sat down elsewhere, where the gifts were stacked in a decently sized pile. Tracy began opening them, her smile stretched wide across her face. Her joy seemed to float through the air and infect everyone, because Tracy wasn’t the only one teary eyed. That’s what happens when the over half of the people in the room are mothers who get emotional when they think about their children’s early years.
indentMilly took a deep breath and turned her head away, tuning out the giggling and squealing of the full grown women behind her. She eyes focused in across the room, near the table the cake sat on. She tilted her head, curiously watching two young children whispering to each other as they snuck around. They were Ella’s children; Ella, another friend, had explained that her babysitter cancelled last minute and so she had to bring her kids. She’d left them unattended for the majority of the party, but they seemed to be perfectly happy just running around and playing hide and seek. Milly but couldn’t help but to think that they were insanely cute in their antics.
indentIt was then that she noticed that they looked strangely secretive. They stealthily creeped over to the table where the remains of the cake sat. They rolled across the floor and behind the red cloth that hung off the table like they were pretending to be spies on a top secret mission. They then continued to peak their heads just over the top of the table. Milly had to hold her breath to avoid laughing as the two shoved their faces into the cake, looking to thoroughly enjoy it. Milly snorted, catching the attention of the two children but somehow not anyone else in the room. The siblings looked at her, terrified. They were frozen solid for a matter of seconds before the one pushed down the head of the other and hid themselves behind the table cloth. It was just like all those years ago, when Milly had stolen a bite of her mother’s wedding cake, and had been caught in the act. The very thought brought the greatest smile to her face, though she also felt a twinge of that embarrassment she’d felt back then.
indent“Milly? Milly hey, you there? Helloooo~? What are you looking at?”
indentMilly slowly looked back to her friends and shook her head. “Oh, nothing. Did you have something to say?”
indent“Yeah, Tracy’s opening your present! One of them, anyway...” As these words were spoken, Tracy could be seen tearing some gray, elephant patterned wrapping paper to reveal what hid inside. The group burst into laughter upon seeing the box that the gift seemed to be in. Milly joined in on the laughter, amused at her own little joke. Tracy then proceeded to pull out the actual gift; A stuffed elephant.
...
indent“An elephant?”
indent“Tracy always really liked elephants.”
indent“Was the gift for Tracy or her baby?”
indent“Whoever, I suppose.”
indent“If you say so. But, your dreams; What are they?”
indent“To become a prominent baker and a mother of two. Twins, preferably.”
indent“I see. And you realized both these things because of your friend’s baby shower?”
indent“Yes.”
indent“Well, that’s certainly convenient, yes? By the way, you have the job.”
indent“Really? I do?”
indent“Absolutely! You are now an official baker. You’re fast on your way to completing dream number one.”░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░okay so my heart almost gave out while trying to code this haha
