When you first meet Akura, she may not talk very much or even at all. She tends to lurk in the shadows of her parents when she has to meet new plumies or just go out anywhere with them. This habit of hers is often misinterpreted due to her appearance. Many think that she is trying to be sneaky by staying back in shadows and behind other plumies. But in reality, she is just shy and it isn't easy for her to come right out and trust someone even enough to speak two words to them. However, if you make an effort to get to know her and she figures that out, she will open up to you and become your friend. Once you really get to know her, and she is comfortable with you, she often gets carried away with talking and chattering on about anything. She's like this especially with her close friends and almost any member of her family. If she talks to you a lot, it means that she trusts you enough to share her emotions, which isn't easy for her. Because she doesn't openly express herself, she can often be a little difficult to understand. She might think of something off topic in her head then start talking about it, not realizing she never actually said anything to transition to the new thought. She might also start talking or mumbling to herself without realizing it. She realizes what she's doing when someone asks what she said or tells her that she is speaking out loud. Because of the problem of not saying thoughts and not realizing she is speaking, it often causes her to feel very insecure even though it isn't something to be ashamed of.
When Devin is alone or with her sister, she is a completely different plumerian. She loves learning new things, especially about things such as ghosts and spirits. She has always been curious about what is unknown. The kinds of things she is interested in are the things that most wouldn't want to know anything about. She uses this to her advantage. She loves to scare others and act as if the ghosts and spirits are helping her. While she isn't scared easily herself, she likes to find plumies that are and do anything to scare them. She finds it easy to scare the plumies at school, being in the plumie spooks club with her sister and friend. Her favorite thing is hiding in the shadows during the night or when it's just starting to get dark. Her favorite time of the year is when it starts getting dark really early and the nights start to get colder. With this being her favorite time of the year, her all time favorite holiday is by far, Halloween. The fall season added with spooky tales and scary decorations makes it a time that she is just having the time of her life. She can go around on Halloween and scare other plumerians and for that night, she doesn't get in any trouble. She loves the dark and everything that lurks in it so naturally, a holiday that has anything to do with that would interest her greatly.

Her Items;
1.) Devin wears a round pendant that has a tree inside with the moon behind it. It looks like this and she rarely takes it off. It is special to her because it reminds her that you never know what lurks In the dark. She feels that it ties in with her interests and especially with Halloween, which is her favorite time of the year.

2.) Her second item is one that she doesn't always keep on but usually only wears around the house with her family. She has a tall, pointed, black witch hat. It is one of her favorite things, around Halloween especially. She has been a witch for Halloween since she could pick out the costume herself. Sometimes, she will wear the hat and pretend she is a witch, running around the house, casting spells on everyone and everything.

3.) Devin always has paper and either a pencil, pen, or a brush and paints. Normally she has a notebook or sketch book as the paper. She keeps these items with her because it means a lot to her to be able to vent her feelings and emotions in some way, so what better way than art. Whenever she feels the need or has inspiration, she either draws or paints and keeps them in her notebook. The book she usually keeps with her is a blank leather bound journal that she uses as a sketchbook instead. It is very special to her and she hates when others look at or even touch it.

Main Obsession

Devin can be considered a little obsessed with Halloween. Okay primarily obsessed. She goes all out and runs around the house making sure that every decoration is in the correct spot. If it's not she might freak out or if something is missing, she won't rest until it is found. Because she loves ghosts and spirits so much, that is a big part of her version of the holiday. She might set up some tricks around her house with things that pop out to scare her family. She is always sad when the month of October ends but she knows it I'll come again next year and that she will be able to do more.

Small Obsession 1; Egg Shell Carving

Devin's second obsession is art, but one of her favorite things is egg shell carving. When she carves, she usually carves a design that corresponds to what she is going through in her life, whether it be something good or bad. So if something happened to her, she would most likely carve the scene onto the egg shell of paint it. She loves this form of art and sees it as one way of expressing her feelings and emotions.

Small Obsession 2; Journaling

Devin absolutely loves to write even if she isn't the best writer ever. She likes to write about her own experiences in a private journal that she would die if anybody else read or found. She can be very secretive with it, really only writing in it when she's alone somewhere or with her family.

Trick or Treating with Akira

"Trick or Treat!" The twins called out as the woman opened the door after hearing her doorbell. The lady smiled at the two girls, one dressed as a witch and the other a ghost, holding up their bags that were starting to fill up with candy. "Aren't you two adorable." She said as she held a bowl out in front of them for them each to take a piece. The girls each grabbed a few pieces of candy and stuffed them in their bags. "Thank you!" They both said and then took off to the door of the next house.
Devin's favorite holiday was Halloween and there was only one thing that could make it better than it already was: spending it with her sister. Every year they have gone trick-or-treating together and neither of them want to ruin the tradition. Devin usually has her own little game she plays on Halloween. Once they are done getting candy, Dev counts up her candy and her sister's candy to see who got more. She always tries to beat her sister with the amount of candy she got, even if it wasn't an official game.
This year seemed like it was different. It almost felt like it wasn't Halloween, even though it was. Devin hopped down the stairs in her witch costume to find her sister sitting at the kitchen table, not in a costume. "Come on, aren't you going to trick-or-treat with me?" she asked, hoping that the answer would be yes. Akira shook her head and looked at her sister. "I'm too old for that." She said and went back to her snack. "But we go trick-or-treating every year..." Devin complained and sat down across from Akira. "Why all of sudden do you act so grown up?" She asked. Akira shrugged and took a bite of her food. "I'm too old for that." She said and Devin stormed off. She wouldn't go alone but if Akira wouldn't go then she wouldn't go at all. She took off her hat and set it on the couch and sat down with her arms crossed. Her favorite holiday now had the bad memory of her sister not wanting to get candy with her. She glared at her sister when she came in the room and sat next to her. Akira looked at her then stood in front of her so she had to look at her. "I'll tell you this. How about I go with you this year then if you want to go next year you can set something up with a friend or something?" She said and Devin was considering it. "Alright, deal. But, if I can't find anyone to go with any year I want to go, you have to come with me." She said and smirked at her sister. "Alright deal." Akira said and shook her sister's hand. "Let me go get changed!" She said and ran upstairs to get her costume.
Devin had her hat back on and was waiting by the front door with their buckets for candy. "Come on or we'll miss all the good candy!" She called upstairs and finally saw Akira come down the stairs. "Calm down. It's still early." She said once she got down the stairs. "Okay let's go!" Devin said and ran out the front door. "Wait up!" Akira said as she ran out after her. "Why are you in such a hurry?" She asked once she caught up and they were walking down the sidewalk at a normal pace. "I want to get to all the good houses a) before they run out of good candy and b) before it gets too dark to see." Devin explained but her sister just rolled her eyes. "You're such a dork." She teased her and playfully punched her arm.
The girls trick or treated together until it got dark and both of them had more fun together than either of them had expected.

A Best friend named Ginger

It was a regular fall day. A bit chilly for the afternoon but nothing too bad to bother the two girls. Devin chased after her sister as they both laughed. Akira ran from her sister, who was "it". "Catch me if you can!" She called behind her and jumped over a log and kept running. Devin was focused on catching her sister so she didn't notice the log. She tripped over it rolled a few feet. Almost instantly she was in tears but she tried to hold them back. She looked at her elbow and her knee that were both cut and scraped from the fall. After a minute, she realized she didn't hear Akira anymore. She looked up, fear taking over and searched for her sister. She must have kept running and hid from her. Devin started to tear up again at the thought of being left completely alone. She ran back to the playground and hid inside the tunnel, curled up with her arms around her legs.
"Hey! You're in my pirate ship!" Devin looked up with red, puffy eyes to see a girl about her age, staring down at her from outside the tunnel. "What?" She asked, wiping her eyes. The other girl rolled her eyes and reached in for Devin to take her hand. "Come on, you can play pirate with me." She said and pulled her out of the tunnel. "O-ok." Devin said and took the girl's hand just to be pulled all the way out of the tunnel. "Come on. Up here." She said and yelled to Devin from the highest part of the playground. Once Devin got up there, she was bombarded with questions about who she was, what she was doing, and why she was alone. Finally the girl slowed down and smiled at her. "I'm Ginger. Welcome to my pirate ship." She said and spread her arms to the playground around her. "I'm Devin. Glad I was allowed to stay." She joked and played a long with the pretend pirate ship. The two girls played pirate until Akira came back with their parents and Devin had to leave. "Can i play pirate with you again sometime?" She asked her before she left. Ginger looked surprised. "Sometime? How about always?" She said and both girls smiled, instantly best friends.
Devin and Ginger grew up playing together, having sleepovers and all sorts of other things. When Devin wasn't with Akira, she was with Ginger. The two were almost as inseparable as the twins, always wanting to do something with each other, no matter what it was.

Family Relationships

Kuroasu | "Daddy"

Akura probably gets along the best with her father. She is a complete daddy's girl and would never deny it (unless she was speaking to her mom). Akura loves to spend time with her dad and she is just as childish around him as he was as a child. She always tries to get him to play with her and it isn't hard to convince him to do something fun.

Akemi | "Mommy"

Devin loves her mother as much as anything even though she is a complete Daddy's girl. She often likes to just sit with her mom and enjoy being around her. If she ever needs something or just needs to talk to someone, and she can't go to her sister, she will go to Akemi and her attentive nature makes Dev feel secure and safe with her.

Akira | "Sibling" | "Kira"

Akura and Akira get along no matter what happens between them. Dev is almost inseparable from her sister. She loves to do stuff with her. If Akira is ever in a situation where she is frustrated and needs to spill all of her thoughts, Devin is always there and doesn't mind when her sister needs someone to talk to. She loves how they can always talk to each other and she rarely keeps secrets from her twin, but she wouldn't be able to keep them for long because she isn't good at hiding anything. Devin loves being in the spooks club with her sister and likes to spend every moment she can with Akira.

Ivory | "Grama"

Devin loves to spend time with her grandmother. With her being lenient on rules and not very strict, Dev feels like she is playing with another kid. Ivory has influenced Dev by giving her a love for the outdoors. She has learned to appreciate nature because of her grandmother and hopes to never forget that. Like her mother, Devin likes to simply be around Ivory. She gives off the sense that it is a nice place to be and there is nothing to worry about.

Taylor | "Papa"

Devin hasn't spent much time with her grandfather. She'd love to get to know him better but being the shy girl she is, it may seem like she hasn't made an effort even though she has.

Tiauna | "aunt Tia"

Dev doesn't know what she thinks of her aunt. She has seen her in a bad mood and knows that she tries to be nice but still finds it hard to completely trust her aunt with her own emotions even though she is part of her family. Even with this, Devin tries to make an effort to be nice to her aunt even if it might be hard for her.

Teelia | "auntie T"

Devin absolutely adores her aunt Teelia. She loves to be with Teelia and she loves watching her write or draw. Dev feels more connected to Teelia than to any of her other aunts. Teelia being more shy, Devin feels like she can relate more to that than to a bit of sass or attitude. Devin knows that Teelia doesn't trust words so she tries to be artistic herself and does little crafts and gives them to her aunt to show her that she loves her.

Oliver | "Uncle Oli"

Devin is a little intimidated by her uncle. She knows he means well but is simply a little overwhelmed by his out-going and adventurous personality. She loves how he is artistic and is intrigued by what he can do with paint or ink. Overall, she loves him because he is family. She hopes that one day she will be able to open up to him more and get closer to him.

Antoinette | "aunt Ana"

Devin loves being around her aunt. She trusts Antoinette even if they may not be very similar except for their love of art. When she is with most of her family members she enjoys doing any type of art, especially with Antoinette.


Friend Relationships
Ginger | "Ginge"

Devin and Ginger have a special kind of friendship. They're the kind of friends that even when they are mad at each other, they will talk the next day as if nothing happened. They live to do pretty much everything together and would if they weren't from separate families. When Dev is with Ginger, she feels like she can tell her anything and not have to worry about getting hurt or something happening to their friendship.

Zavier | "Zavi"

Zavier is a good friend of Devin's, even if he is a little bit older than her. She gets along so well with him because he wants to be a paranormal investigator. Sometimes she will pretend to be a ghost just so that he has to investigate, then she pops out from around a corner or something and tries to scare him. She loves to help him with a lot of his investigations and many mysteries as well.

Future Self
As a teenager

As she grows up, Devin will learn how to be more trusting and a little more outgoing. It will become easier for her to make friends with her new found confidence and her insecurities will still be there but will be less of a bother to her. Once she gets to high school, she might be a little overwhelmed by the transition at first. She will be extremely shy when it comes to talking about her family or in class or talking in general. She will learn throughout her first year that she needs to more open about herself if she wants to ever make the friends she will keep forever. Around her second year of high school, she plans to get a part time job in a shop that sells some creepy items and that gets a lot of business around the time of Halloween. She doesn't know if she will want to stay there for longer or just until she finishes high school. She just wants some structure and a way to earn some money herself.
As an adult

As she grows into an adult, Devin will learn more about the world and life. Everything unknown will always interest her but she will move on from many of the childish things she often did. She will still dress up for Halloween in a witch costume but instead of getting candy, she will hand out the candy to the kids but still be in the spirit of Halloween. She hopes to find a mate when she gets older, someone she can truly trust and rely on. She will never stop fearing being alone or forgotten. If she is ever left behind she will go back to bottling her emotions and not trusting anyone. She will want to be more open but it might still be difficult for her.

Hello. I am ~Caramel~ but everyone just calls me Cara. I am a current own of two plumerians by the names of Kenadia and Jazlynn. I first saw this girl and I wanted to try out more than anything but I didn't think I'd have time. Then I had two days off of school and I used every spare minute i could to add to my form and try to finish it. My biggest thank you has to go to my best friend in real life, Soulfirewolf. She let me use her amazing format and she helped me with a lot of other things in my form as well, such as art and ideas.
