Like a Cat: Like what he is patterned after Shiro is crossed eyed like Siamese cats, this is because of his optic wiring, his left retina is tilted towards the right, and his right retina is tilted to the left. What this does is create a double image and to compensate for that he crosses his eyes to see one picture

indigo hides under beds, chairs, and in other small, hard-to-reach spaces, similar to cats. the feeling of being in a cozy little spot makes them feel safe and protected, even if that isn't reality. (plus, indigo constantly acts strange, so it's nothing new to see them in a weird spot.)
