Toothless is the strangest Plumie you will ever meet, he's a dreamer, has a one-track mind, and can't pay attention to anything without spacing out in a wonderous daydream about his goal in life, a fantasy world of his own creation. Toothless knows he is a Plumie, he loves his life, he's amazingly loyal to his friends and will defend his them at all costs, but there is a different part of him as well. Toothless believes he was meant to be a dragon, he loves the sky and finds it to be the most awesome thing in the world; he is completely obsessed with it.
He is always trying to find ways to fly, jumping from trees only to fall and land on his paws, he never gets hurt expect for minor sprains and twists but other then that he is fine. He loves watching birds fly and wishes to join them, he wants to fly so badly and kiss the ground goodbye and soar above the clouds higher then any bird, and will often dream of flight and racing the wind. Toothless has devoted his whole life to pursuing his impossible dream, he will never give up on it and will push to reach his goal. Oddly enough Toothless knows how to speak "dragon" and will often coo and growl like one. He refuses to speak like a normal plumie. He will chase his dream no matter what happens and one day he will take to the sky.
Toothless' real name is Jayy, which is the short form of names beginning with the sound J, such as James or Jason. It was originally used in America in honour of founding father John Jay (1749-1825), whose surname was derived from the jaybird.
Jayy never goes by his actual name however, he prefers to be known only as Toothless, his nickname is what everyone calls him. His nickname was gained by the fact he never smiles with his teeth and his resemblance to Toothless from How to train your dragon. None of his friends know of his real name, and his parents only refer to him as Jayy when he is in trouble. Most of the time he is called Toothless, Onna gave him the nickname Toothy for short, and is also the only one who calls him that.
The reason I chose the name Jayy for Toothless is because it is the name of Hiccup's voice actor; Jay Baruchel. However he never goes by the name Jayy; and prefers to only be called Toothless so you'd never actually hear his real name Jayy used. Another reason for this name choice was the reason that black and blue are also Blue Jay colours. Even though Blue Jay are more blue then black I still thought it fit him perfectly.

To Toothless, Onna is his Hiccup. His best friend, and one he can always rely on. He actually met her in the forest when she was trying to fly, he fell from a tree and landed on her. She was out cold after he got up, he felt so bad that he stayed by her side till she woke up. When she did wake up he gave her a big lick on the cheek and purred, glad she was okay. Onna became swift friends with him, saying that they were weird buddies. Toothless noticed her camera and tried to play with it. That was really how their friendship started when she kept taking pictures of him. Onna is probably one of the few plumies that accept his odd wanting to fly; she actually supports his dream and cheers him on. Even though it seems impossible, she is his best friend and he is glad to have her by his side. She is also known to make his favourite snacks.

June is Toothless' little buddy, in a way she is almost like the little Terrible Terror that steals Toothless' fish in the movie. However in this case instead of fish it's cookies; Onna makes Toothless his favourite Fish Cracker Cookies, he loves them more then anything and June always steals them from him, playfully of course. Despite this fact the two always have fun pretending to be dragons and rolling around in the grass for fun. They love to play games together and can't help but try and make Onna join in their fun. Overall besides Onna, June has to be one of Toothless' only friends.
Toothless did not actually make his own costume, when he was younger his parents made it for him for a christmas present. They knew his dream was to fly one day, and his mother knew, he could not fly without wings. His costume was the reason he was given the nickname Toothless in the first place; Toothless was his favourite dragon from How to train your dragon. He is never actually seen without his costume on, when he is it's only for repairs. He even wears it in the shower, when he's going to bed, even when he's eating. 
When Toothless was born he did not speak, he did not make a sound, he did not squeak. He was a small little tiny black plumie with wonder in his green eyes. His parents knew he would be trouble one day, though he grew up a pretty normal childhood. For his birthday his parent bought him a movie. A movie about dragon’s which started his love for the sky. He became swiftly obsessed with the sky and the wonders of flight.
When he was older, he had ended up wandering away because he loved going on adventures; even back then he would chase after his dreams and at that point in time was a leaf flying the air that caught his eye and he wandered away.
It was then that he wandered to close to a swallow nest and the birds flew after him, ducking, and twisting around him. He was fascinated right away; they looked like little flying dragons. He tried to run after them and jumped into the air rolling and tumbling in the grass.
Because of these little birds, for Christmas all he wanted was wings to be able to fly with. It was the greatest gift he ever received, and he adored it. His wings became his greatest treasure that he would never give up.
Toothless grew up with his wings, resizing and adjusting to his body. He never did give up on his dream; he also never learned to talk either. Simple sounds like chirped, purrs and coos. He also learned to growl when he was mad. Toothless never got to attend school due to his parent’s overprotective nature, he didn’t mind. He ended up making his first and only real friend when he was trying to fly and fell out of a tree on her.
Onna of course taught Toothless many different things and together they went on many different adventures, learning from each other and helping each other when they needed it. Toothless became more open and friendly with her help, attempting to speak, but never quite could.
Toothless never plans to give up on his dream, one day he will succeed. One way or another.
Against the light, too strong, blow a fuse now, everything bright, new songs, burning shoes. The look in your eyes! Break our bones into half!
Scream and shout and do laugh! Stay close to me, count one, two and three, up in through your sleep, busting through the sheep.

A flash of green, a streak of blue, a tail unseen, a leap unbound! Toothless leapt taking off into the sky, only to end up back on the ground.... again. He was at it again, not that it is surprising since he is often there trying to jump. He lay on his back happily staring up at the sky, he gazed admiringly at the beautiful birds that flew over head, he gave a loud chirp before curling his naturally long tail up to look at. It was all black except for the round brown ring at the very tip that kept a hold of the tail fins. It was perfect and it was his symbol, his sign, that one day he would fly, higher then any bird before.
He twisted himself and got up again, determined now more then ever before. He smiled and climbed up the tree once more using his 'talons' as he liked to call his claws, and his snout (muzzle) to grasp the branch and get up on it. He looked up, flicking his tail the fins open and ready, and his green eyes shone brightly; he was ready, he lowered himself and steadied waiting. He felt the wind blow with him as he took off running, he leapt and flapped his fore paws hoping to take off, but ended up falling once again, he twisted himself easily and landed on his paws. He glanced up at the sky; he wasn't ever going to give up, never.
He decided to take a break and go for a run, he ran faster then most and always tried to go faster. When Toothless was running he felt like he was almost flying! He would always feel the breeze of his face and almost felt like he could leave the ground, he let out a loud chirp and jumped high and then landed again, he smiled as he skidded to a stop, he could feel it, he was closer then ever. “Hey Toothless!” Onna called softly towards him walking closer, he turned and purred, he ran over and tucked his head under hers, she giggled and scratched his head, “Hey Toothless, trying to fly again?” She asked curiously. He nodded eagerly, looking towards the sky. “One day buddy.” She said to him gently following his gaze up to the sky.
He nodded his head, “Can I get a picture?” Onna asked, Toothless tilted his head lightly, nodding as he did. Onna smiled and pulled up her camera and took pictures of him as he rolled around in the grass playfully. She smiled at him, “Well aren’t you handsome” She said, he nodded and smiled back softly, she lay down in the grass beside him, it was nice to have a best friend, he had to agree. “Cookie?” She offered softly, a smile burst across his face as he took it meekly and ate it happily. It was another good day in the life of Toothless.
