One afternoon, during late spring, Passi went out to her garden to check on her flowers. She has a wide variety of flowers, including the flower she was named after(the Passiflora). After fetching some water for her violets she notices a strange looking insect, which was very colorful and spiky. Her belly rumbled. She hadn't eaten anything that day, and she didn't feel like walking back to her nest to grab something.

Passi looked back at the colorful mantis and thought to herself "Well, it wouldn't hurt if I took a bite..." She swiftly killed the mantis and plopped it into her mouth. To her amazement, the mantis tasted amazing. It didn't taste bitter, it had more of a taste of...sunflower seeds? The flavor was hard to describe, but she knew that she now had a new favorite exotic snack.

I was looking at her design, and realized it reminded me somewhat of a passiflora flower. There are many color varieties, but her design mainly reminds me of the purple/violet ones. Not only does her design look like a flower, but it incorporates with her character being a gardener and having a wide variety of flowers and editable plants outside of her house.

The feeling of one million feet racing across your tongue is not one you'd forget fast. Renzou will sometimes fill his gob full of the things, then open his jaw with a blank stare to have them all spill out just to scare his friends. They generally don't enjoy it as much as he does. I mean the taste is fine, but he really just likes them for the humor factor.

Why? Well, she likes the flavor and crunch of them. Most beans may possibly find scorpions disgusting, but she loves them! She enjoys burning them herself and ripping off their stinger. Despite being a girl, she acts a bit like a guy when eating her Scorpians!

Fireflies
"Fireflies, the glowy little precious things that float in the sky at night." claims Faygo. Besides munching on them, Faygo's favorite thing to do is breed them. He captures them in little jars and lets them have little families, which in his mind is also a miracle (just like almost everything else in his eyes). When they get big enough, he either eats them or let them free, to 'become stars' in the night sky.

"I like Fireflies 'cause they're crunchy and full of magic. They make my tummy light up and it makes me really happy. Plus they're a miracle. No body tells 'em to light up like that, they just do, and that makes it a miracle. It makes me feel so wonderful to be able to bite into those yummy little guys! "

Finch's favourite insect of all time is none-other than the giant Cecropia Moth, or the Robin Moth.

Finch is a bean by many statures. His ultimate goal when he grows up is to find, record, and study the world's most rarest, deadliest, and creepiest insects, even if that means facing off against the most dangerous ones. Like the Steve Irwing of the bug world, Finch wants to travel and meet these insect. Hyalophora cecropia, or the Robin Moth, was the reason why Finch wanted to go upon this. As a young lad, Finch was actually terrified of anything that crawled, inched, or flied and it wasn't avian. Bugs horrified him. However, this all changed one day when another bean his age dared him to venture the local creek nearby, which was infamous for having many, many bee nests.

But Finch took the dare, and despite the fact that he got lost for an hour, to his aid, came a beautiful Robin Moth. The giant silk moth landed on his muzzle, and instead of screaming in terror, Finch froze in horror, staring at the insect's many eyes. But it only took him a minute to study, and the young bean converted from fearing insects to loving them. Ever since then, he has taken pictures, drawn blueprints, and even wrote his own encyclopedia of the bugs he has discovered, with the picture of his best friend, Robin, marking page one. He lives in memory of Robin as his guide, with his mind set on making an encyclopedia of all the wonderful bugs he can find, so that one day, he could discover his own.

The Witchetty grub is his favorite food by far, it tastes like almonds. Very fantastic and high in protein. He prefers to lightly cook it with his flame so that the outside is crisp like roast chicken. He is also a black wattle tree gardener, the grubs love to feast on the roots of these trees so he digs them up to eat, a fantastic meal that also helps the tree live longer.
