    "Christmas ; The most wonderful time of the year"

    Username;
    My username is Dap, I mainly like to keep things short and sweet.

    Name;
    I would name this bean "Noelle" derived from the word Noel, meaning Christmas. Honestly, there's no meaning to the name, other than the fact that I simply like it.

    Gender;
    This bean, as easy as it is to tell, would be a male.

    Favorite Christmas memory;
    Being wrapped up in the covers and spending time with my best-friend. I love to keep warm on the coldest season of the year, especially while Cinna and I drink hot cocoa by the fire.

    Sometimes, we'd have a few more friends over, and play games, or sometimes, just exchange gifts. But I surely enjoy spending time with my best-friend to end off the year.

    From time to time, we even prank each other on Christmas, or even just tell each other scary stories at night. But there's nothing better than eating some fresh-baked goodies, and having a glass of milk to finish it all off.

    Ahh, how I love Christmas!

Mechi and the Wrapping Paper

Postby FoxerOwl » Sat Dec 28, 2013 6:35 pm

username;
      Hi there! My name is FoxerOwl, and I am a nonowner c; Hope you like my story and overall form!

name;
      His name is Mechi, pronounced meh-chee. It means "match" in Swahili.

gender;
      Mechi is most definitely a male!

favorite christmas memory;
      Mechi is about nine years old in this story.

      Mechi woke up and stretched, the sun shining on his face. He was counting down every day 'till Christmas on his calendar, so when he got up and saw the date, he nearly screamed. He ran down the stairs and into the living room, where his parents were watching the news and drinking coffee. "Ma, pa, it's Christmas!" Mechi threw his paws in the air and grinned, but when he saw the pile of presents at the base of their tree the smile faded and his paws slapped his sides. The nine-year-old's heart started to race until he threw himself on the floor and started to grab presents. There were more gifts under the tree than ever in his whole entire life, and he was nearly bursting with excitement! His parents merely giggled, but still sat on the floor next to him.

      "No!" His father said, tugging at Mechi's arm as he grabbed the biggest present. "Save that one 'till last!" The boy was a bit disappointed, but grabbed the smallest present instead. He knew, by the look on his father's face, that the biggest gift would be the best!

      Being an only child, there were a lot of presents under the tree, so many that by the time Mechi got to the last and biggest one, he almost couldn't lift it like he did last time! Mechi panted, but the expressions on his parent's faces made him keep going and gain some excitement. He ripped at the wrapping paper, throwing it in the pile beside him. He flipped the giant box over and gasped, staring through the plastic. It was a Stomp Rocket, one that he had been dreaming of since July, when it was on commercials! He just sat there, his breathing getting more rapid by the second. He was so quiet that his father patted his back, saying, "Are you alright, son?" At those words, Mechi jumped up and tackled his dad, laughing and giggling and crying tears of joy. "Thank you dad, oh thank you!" He was so happy, and he started to laugh even more when his mom gathered up a bunch of wrapping paper, rolled it in a ball, and threw it at them, hitting Mechi's dad in the head. "Now come on, you lovebirds." She said jokingly, putting her hands on her hips.

      That one roll of wrapping paper started a big fight. A fight of wrapping paper, of course! Blue and red and green wrapping paper balls were flying everywhere, and the bows were being slapped on one another's cheeks or heads. There was so much laughing involved that everyone was crying; it was so fun to them! But Mechi was having the most fun. He had about ten bows all around on his body, and his arms were filled with freshly-made wrapping paper balls as his parents threw the paper at each other. "Guys..." he said quietly, and then, when they looked at him, he threw the whole bundle of the wrapping paper on his parents! Without hesitation, he dived into the huge pile and his parents caught him lightly, knowing the pile wasn't thick enough to cushion him. But Mechi didn't mind. All he did was throw his hands in the air and shout,

"Best Christmas ever!!!"

Username;
Name;
Walabee, spelt wrong purposfully. I don't know why, but the name just came to mine
Gender;
Male
Favorite Christmas memory;
Christmas had never been much fun for Walabee, well, neither had he been called Walabee. As a child, his parents and brother had almost despised him. He was just a dark shadow. Christmas had been the time where he would retire to his room, and stay. When he was ten, he ran away from Autralia, and ended up, using stolen cash and a suitcase, in London. He changed his name to Walabee and worked on shifting his appearance slightly as he grew. He doesn't recall his original name, he erased it from his memory. He lived on the streets for a time, but eventually, he managed to make enough money, playing his violin on the streets, to persuade another 'street rat' to help him pay to rent a room. This was even worse, sometimes, because at least he had had a house, even if no sentiment. Things changed though, over time, he had a group of 'friends', small, but a group and that made him feel almost whole.
The first of November was where things changed. He was wandering the streets, playing his violin, as usual, when he was approached by a young female. She was pink, and probably about six older than him.
"You're music is lovely." She said, smiling. "Tell me, do your parents get you lessons."
Walabee blanked her instantly, and walked off.
"I'm Lotus!" She called out.
He still wouldn't listen. She ran up to him.
"You live on the street, don't you?"
"Wonderful deduction." He hissed.
"Please! Come with me, I have a large house, space, please."
She was worried about him, he could tell. Walabee didn't think he felt emotions, not like otheers anyway, but maybe he could use this girl to get a better life.
"Fine."
So it was that by the 20th of December, Walabee belonged in the care of the bean, Lotus, and her soon-to-be wife, Chiaro. He was thirteen, and would be fourteen three days after Christmas. He had settled in surprisingly well, his room already papered with all sorts of things, violin music, experiments, the lot. The two found it odd, but said nothing, that was just who he was. The day before Christmas, Walabee intended to stay cooped up, reading a book, of which he had no interest in, but Lotus wouldn't allow that. They watched a film together, and, though Walabee was confused, he was grateful that they invited him
But why did they care...
He was still puzzling it the next day, as he went downstairs. It was Christmas day, and he was ready to be ignored. But he wasn't? They greeted him a Merry Christmas, and hugged him, before inviting him to sit at the breakfast table with them. He didn't eat much, food didn't appeal to him, but he ate some, to be polite. He was still confused, maybe they would be nice and then break him down, or maybe they just tolerated him. He didn't know.
He came to the height of confusion, when Lotus handed him two simple packages and wished him a very Merry Christmas.
"I would have got you mroe, but there wasn't much time." She said, handing him a card too.
He opened the lighter box first.
'Clearly food, by the smell.' He thought, and he was instantly awestruck.
He opened the second, and was similarly shocked. He then opened the envelope and felt like he would cry.
He had a box of his favourite cookies, home baked, a book on bean behavious and three tickets to a violin concert.
This was the best moment of his life.

    "Wake up, Caspian!" shouted a bean. "It's snowing!" Caspian tilted his head, confused. "What's that?" he shouted back, with sleep crippling his voice. "Come and see!" Caspian raced downstairs, tripping and falling a few times, and eventually he reached his parents. Caspian hauled himself up onto the ledge, and stared out of the window. Joy lit his eyes. "S'white!" he mumbled, concentrating on the angle of how each snowflake fell. His parents, realising he intended to stay like this, dragged him out of the front door with hats and coats on. As he bounded into the snow, Caspian laughed, and that laugh would stay with him forever.

    -

    Later, after Caspian had finally got bored with the 'shnow', he and his parents opened their presents. Cas, not understanding, had sat and stared at his box until his father eventually leaned over and tore the paper a bit. Caspian then had a wonderful time ripping up the paper and flinging it everywhere. Caspian eventually looked into the box, a glint of gold catching his eye. He peered in, and screamed as he saw two golden bells on a chain. He stopped running around happily just long enough for his parents to secure the bells onto his tail. Caspian immediately adored the soft chiming they made as he walked, and they still chime to this day.

U S E R N A M E;;
Hello I'm 42. I don't believe we've met before but I'm a big fan of JBD's and I'm so glad you've become an artist as this design is gorgeous!
N A M E;;
I would call this little guy 'Tully' it's cute, innocent and in my opinion, fitting.
G E N D E R;;
Male
S T O R Y;;
Tully always loved the Christmas time. It was the time of year that even the grumpiest of the grumpy couldn’t be mad and where every greeting was responded with a smile; whether it be friend or foe. This Christmas Eve began as any other – in Tully’s mind, perfect – a thin layer of icy sleet was laid upon the ground and a small hoard of glimmering lights hung. Tully finished wrapping his small yet sweet present for his dear parents and declared himself to bed, well not quite. Tully always slept under the tree Christmas Eve night; it was a curious tradition, started after dear Tully – merely young – fell asleep one night, underneath the ornate tree. It always took Tully a long time to get to sleep Christmas Eve Night, for thoughts of zooming reindeer and patterned paper seemed to slowly weave him away from the path of sleep. But soon enough, Tully was asleep and slow and peaceful breaths rustled his body silently. The morning came, the ground was covered by a soft blanket of white snow and the sunlight danced brightly – reflecting off the snow in a spectrum of colours. Tully awoke quickly, springing awake, every particle of his body alive. But something was wrong. The tree, which had so gently shrouded Tully throughout the night was gone, not a single bauble to mark its past presence and not a present about to mark its spot. In fact, the whole room was unusually bare, not a piece of furniture in sight. Tully’s stomach sank; every fibre of his body was stimulated in surprise (and a small trace of fear). An investigation into his parent’s room found the same result; a bare room with not a soul in sight. A small hand of fear gripped Tully; something was wrong- extremely wrong. With one last twinkling of hope in his stomach Tully headed out into the front yard, not a car was in the driveway and not a footprint in the snow. Though standing out as an oddity in the street was a horse-drawn sleigh, guided by a spritely looking JBD. ‘Ah you must be Tully!’ The JBD gave Tully a friendly smile ‘Well come on, we don’t have all day! Hop in, there’s a boy’ Tully scrambled in awkwardly but inside a flower of hope was blossoming. ‘Um, excuse me, but where are we going?’ Tully asked a small sight of fear creeping into his voice. ‘Don’t worry, you will understand in time.’ Yes of course, Tully thought. A complete stranger in a horse-drawn sleigh rides up to my empty house to escort me somewhere, of course it will all make sense in time… The sleigh pulled up to an elegant house in a homely street. ‘Righto Son, this is the end of the line for me, Merry Christmas!’ and with that the sleigh slid away, leaving Tully on the drive of a house he had never seen before. Still it was Christmas, so he supposed nothing bad could happen on him knocking upon the house door and so he did. He thought he might have a heart attack when it was his Mother who opened the door. ‘Merry Christmas my dear!’ She bundled him into her arms and swung him around, laughing all the while. Inside the house was all of Tully’s family, sitting around the living room; which was filled with all the missing furniture from the previous house. ‘Mum what’s going on?’ Tully’s mother smiled and replied ‘This is our combined Christmas present: A brand new house! Surprise!’ She chuckled kindly and hugged him. ‘Now come on, these presents aren’t going to unwrap themselves!’ And the Christmas was just like any other, only better and still to this day it remains one of the most fond – and curious – Christmas memories little Tully has.

    Name; faro
    fair-roh
    Gender; male
    Favorite Christmas memory; It was truly the perfect day. Crispy Christmas cookies and the tree, the star and the bells,
    going pefectly together..

    "Come on wake up Faro! its christmas eve" I struggle awake to see a pair for yellow eyes sparkling above me. How did he get in? My own golden eyes flick to the door which has been swung open. I look back to Alek who has moved away and found my scarf. "Come onn" I sigh and get up, at the same time moving my tail, making the bells ring.

    "Thats more like it!" He chucks me my scarf and heads to the door. I enjoy being with Alek, he doesn't mind that I never talk he just talks twice the amount. We make our way down to the town, pretending to be spies darting in and out of the trees. At the small town he tells me to wait for a moment.

    Alek runs back a few minutes later, clutching a box which I spot is from the bakery. I peer at it curiously but pokes me away and stuffs it in his pouch.

    We have an amazing day, messing about in the woods finding acorns buired in the ground. Its getting dark so we head back to the town. There is a slope above the town made of springy grass. Alek and I sit there, watching the christmas lights come on. White sparkling ones wrapped around trees, multi-coloured tiny bulbs that go from house to house. He pulls out the box from his pouch which I'd forgotten about and holds it out to me. Its two slightly crushed cinnamon swirls. I laugh because if I don't I'll cry. They are my favourite, as he knows, but they hold memories. He grins back and bites into his, looking down into the town.

    That was my favourite Christmas. This Christmas.

    My favourite Christmas memory, you ask? Well, it's not that interesting, but if you insist, I suppose I'll tell you anyway.
    Now, most Christmas stories start off like "it was a cold winter's night" or something, but mine? More like a hot summer's morning. Yes, it's still Christmas time- where I live, summer is in December. Anyway- back to the story.

    I was five years old and, being five, woke up at 5am on Christmas morning. My parents despised waking up before eight, so I had three hours until I could open presents and couldn't seem to get back to sleep. Probably from all the candy canes I'd consumed.

    So I got up, with plans to snoop around the tree, when I ran into someone in the hall- my grandmother Elise. I went to greet her in my usual loud manner, but she quickly shushed me, pointing to my parents room, before signalling for me to follow her to the kitchen.

    Once in the kitchen, she lifted me up onto the bench and asked me if I wanted to help her make Christmas cookies. I naturally agreed, and we set about gathering ingredients and materials, which almost resulted in a landslide of pans if Gran hadn't shut the door. That door hasn't been opened to this day.

    Then, we got to making the dough. I adored this part, shaking in possibly a bit too much of each ingredient, then stirring like a crazy person and getting cookie dough all over my paws. I let Gran spoon out the dough, or more like she insisted on spooning it out as to prevent another mess, heh. Then came baking. This, my friend, is where the story gets interesting.

    The recipe said to put them in the oven at 120 degrees for twenty minutes. But I wanted them fast! So I secretly turned up the oven, not knowing that this wouldn't have any affect on the timer. We cleaned up the cooking mess, then Gran told me stories from her childhood while we waited.

    When the time came to remove the cookies from the oven, a strange smell was coming from the oven. Gran opened it, and..... a gigantic cloud of black smoke billowed out and the fire alarms went off. Needless to say my parents woke up, and the cookies were a little overdone. Maybe more than a little.

    After everyone had calmed down and a window had been opened, we settled down to my burnt cookies. My parents smiled robotically and only had one, but I adore them and ate the rest. Why did I like them so burned, you ask? That was my first time trying them.

    Now, ten years later, I have a strange love for baking and burned things, which don't always go together very well.
    And every single Christmas, my very first baking story is retold.

Cin loved christmas ever since he was a very young bean - everyone is so peaceful, the landscape covered with snow as if the world was sleeping for some time, and whereever he went it smelled so good: the fresh cut christmas trees, the hot punch and mulled wine, the christmas cookies - at this time of the year he could eat all day!
But his ever favourite christmas was when he got a big old truck tire, big enough for him to use as a sled to go down the snowy hills - oh man had he wished for something like that - he had always seen the small humans using various kinds of sled having so much fun with it, and he was never able to join. But now it was his turn - he searched for a hill where he could be alone not to endanger someone, and then he started! He went down and up and down and up the whole day, falling off while driving down several times at the beginning, but in the end he was even able to steer the tire!
Even until today, he can not remember having any more fun than on this day, his ever favourite christams day!

When all the trees have been cut down,
when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat money.

Jelly Bean Dragon #608 - Aiden

      Aiden smiled, wrapping his scarf around his neck and inhaling the cold, fresh air of Christmas Eve. He was on his way to Shinee's house, where he would celebrate with her, and Ambie, who was like a little sister to him. A sudden jingle, as if from bells, shook him out of his thoughts. Aiden looked around, and the jingle appeared again, but softer, quieter, and nearer to Shinee's place. Aiden shook his head, ignoring the sound, and continuing to smile.
      It started to snow softly as the teen reached the house, knocking at the decorated door and grinning as Ambie came out and clung to his legs. As Shinee hugged him happily and led him inside, Aiden scooped up the giggling child from the floor and took her into the warmth with him.
      They had a wonderful evening with many gifts - and a lot that Shinee and Aiden didn't recognize to have bought, but Ambrosia was excited and childish, not noticing that at all. In the end, little Ambie fell asleep on the Teen while Shinee and Him were talking and making jokes. The evening was over, and after the small girl was brought to bed, He was brought to the door and said goodbye to, and released into the snowy wonderland.
      Aiden sighed, smiling, sinking his warm hands into his pockets and strolling along the path. Suddenly, there was the noise again; the jingling, but more excited or nervous now. He looked up, perking his ears. The jingling sounded again, this time nearer, as if in one of the bushes around him. Aiden looked around, locating the sound and deciding to follow, as jingling things can't really be dangerous, can they?
      The bean brushed away the branches full of snow as he ascended into the small forest, but the further he came, the further the noise went too. Aiden started rushing faster through the trees, until he broke through and landed in a snow covered clearing, where the noise stopped. He looked around, and spotted two small, golden bells, sunken in the snow, and many hoof prints around it, as well as two long ones that could have been from a sleigh. He followed the tracks with his eyes, and they bolted up as he heard the jingle in the sky. He laughed, as he understood what was happening here - it was Santa's sleigh, and Santa was real, he was really real.

      From that day on, he believed in him.
