I chose the name of 'Praia' because I thought it fit her well and it mean 'Beach' or 'Coast' in the language of Portuguese. I also just thought it was a cute name for a beautiful Makoatl. {♥}

Michi is a Japanese name meaning "pathway."
The name fits his markings: a treasure map is a display of the path to a treasure.
Michi also sounds playful and child-like to me, and I can imagine this Mako having boundless energy and acting a bit childish sometimes (in a good way of course.)

WHY THAT NAME?: Finick is a character in the hunger games (this mako does not remind me of the movie in general, but of the character himself). He is strong, brave, loyal, and he doesn't back down in tough situations. When the going gets tough, he gets tougher. I also think that he'd be very mischievous and trouble-seeking, possibly looking for fights and ways to get loads of anger off of his chest, but he's not a bad guy...he just wants to be...found. (That's why he has a treasure map on him, it leads to his heart and all of his greatest desires.)

WHY THAT NAME?: Well, I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame the other day, and I just love that goat. The goat also has this awesome name. Plus, I took one look at this guy and I was like, "GYPSY." He's totally a gypsy, just look at him. The dark hair with a highlight and the funny markings and the exotic markings and the neutral bases. Gypsy. Yus.
