I'm a current non-owner, hoping to try my luck with this little kiamara.

Gry is a name meaning "dawn." I was drawn to this name because it was short and sweet, and it fit this kiamara. When I saw her colors, it reminded me of a "misty dawn" where its too cloudy to fully appreciate the sunrise, yet you can still see the colors and as they mix into the clouds and mist, it makes it look more beautiful, like the strokes of an old painting.

This kiamara looks to be very much a little girl to me, and it fit well with what I had in mind for her personality and story.

A quiet little kiamara comes up to you. She looks about ready to bolt as she walks up to you and tugs on your sleeve. Handing you a story, she whispers:
I wrote it myself. It's about when I got Butterfly. My rabbit. I hope you like it...
She trails off, then, after a moment of hesitation, walks a little ways back, and watches you out of the corner of her eye, though if you look at her, she quickly drops her head to the ground, and shuffles her feet a bit, though still looking to see if you are reading it. Opening up the folded paper, you see little purple doodles along the paper, intricate designs. You begin to read:


Handing her back the story, you note a small rabbit coming up behind her, grabbing her attention by pawing at her tail. The little kiamara smiles for the first time since you've seen her, scooping the rabbit up and petting it.
Do you like her? This is Butterfly.

Little Gry is very quiet and shy, preferring the company of the words in the stories she writes and the books she reads to the chatter of people. She is very clever, something you might not expect of her as she doesn’t “show off” in any way, or stand out, if you will. She doesn’t have many friends, as she doesn’t really know how to act around people, and it can get quite awkward talking to her.

Well, If you must know I'm trying for my first kia.

Kia's name ⇴ Tew (Too) basically wet backwards, partly because of his colors, partly because I wanted him to have a backwards-spelt name.
And then, from my love for full names, he becomes Tew Riptide.

Tew is the type who prefers to keep to himself.
He can be quite cold and spiteful,
even if he’s sometimes polite.
He is exceptionally stubborn and
doesn’t take it well when he is
told what to do.

Tew can be quite sarcastic,
and even though he can be courageous,
he is deathly afraid of water and blood.
Tew would prefer to just live his life,
grow up, get a job someday.
He isn’t the overly ambitious type,
but wants to do something special.

Tew likes to collect things too,
including feathers he plans to use.

Tew Riptide pulled himself out of a warm bed and dressed for the day. It was before dawn, but his father said they had to leave early if they wanted to get to the fishing hole on time. Let me explain: Tew and his father lived in the arctic, hunted arctic prey, and used everything they could to stay alive.

Tew, still yawning, followed his father out the door into the dark arctic morning. They walked to the edge of the ocean, almost a mile away. They made it by dawn. Tew was bouncing with excitement. "Hold still, Tew, or you'll scare all the fish!" Said his father, laughing. "How come you didn't have this much energy on the walk up?"

Tew shrugged under his cloak. "Dunno." His father set up the fishing rods and Tew sat down beside him, leaning into his father's warm fur. It was a beautiful morning, even if the sun on the snow hurt his eyes.Tew had almost dozed off when he felt a tug on his line. His father helped him pull, but it got away.
