You can just call me Fallen.
I currently own two JBDs, Arnold and Cobalt, whom I absolutely love to pieces. I'm working on becoming more active in the community now with help. I have not found a bean that I have really clicked with in a while, bu this girl is different and I am honored to have a chance at them.

She is most often called Chika.
Out of every other name her mother could have chosen, she chose one with the meaning 'flower'. It is quite ironic as Chika cannot truly understand and enjoy her namesake due to her anosmia, or inability to smell. To most this would be upsetting, but to Chika herself it is a mystery and she can think of the smell as anything and let her imagination run wild.

Chika is female.
Despite her somewhat dull appearance, she is all female. She has a petite build and a calm, but friendly disposition. Despite this, she is sometimes mistaken for a male, but she doesn't mind as it happens often and she has grown accustomed to it.
p r o f e s s i o n
She works as a florist.
A small flower shop called the Garden of Eden, though it could be anything but. It's one of the oldest shops on the block and is quite run-down despite all the time and care put into it. Still, Chika loves it like it were her own child: the door that creaks every time you open it, the floorboards that groan in protest each time someone steps on them, the dank feeling in the air as you walk in. Everything about it is familiar to her and that's what she likes best. The flowers they sell look out of place inside the store because their extremely vibrant colors go against the soon-to-be-rotting wood.
It seems quite ironic that Chika works in a flower shop even though she can't smell, but that isn't completely true. Chika has selective anosmia which means she can only smell certain fragrances, or in this case one: roses. It's because of this that she hasn't just given up on her flower shop as she feels like the smell of roses is the best smell anyone could ever hope to encounter. The only flower she always has stocked are roses because she loves to open the door and breathe deeply, inhaling the smell of them each morning. She also feels that if she let this shop fail, there would be no more roses for anyone to enjoy.

For my extra, I am making a stuffed animal of Chika. This is really only my second time trying to sow, so I am quite proud of it. It is still unfinished, but here are the WIP pictures.

Shutterbug
His friends and family also call him either Shutter or Buggy for short.

The word shutterbug can usually be used to describe an amateur photographer. It's not much of a name but I figured that it suits him well considering what kind of profession I have in mind of him. His markings and colours also remind me of some kinds of insects and beetles, such as the Locust borer. Personally I also find the name to have a cute, friendly ring to it which would match his bubbly personality.

Wildlife Photographer and Columnist

Shutterbug is a photographer whom works an animal photography interest column. He travels rather frequently to all corners of the earth to capture interesting photos of both wild and domesticated animals. Then, when he's filled the memory in his digital camera he returns home and picks his best photos to be featured in the column writes which gets released once a month in a magazine issue. He never travels to a specific area without a goal in mind, a goal that usually centers around taking a photo or witnessing a rare and elusive animal... he's rarely successful in taking a good or accurate photo though. However disappointed Shutterbug might seem when returning home after a trip he enjoys himself nevertheless. It's a chance to meet new faces and new places, as well as to experience the culture of a new land whilst doing a job he loves. With any photos he doesn't use for his column Shutterbug usually creates a page for them in his scrapbook.

My visit to the UK 2012!
During the 2012 London Olympics Shutterbug came to the UK to try and get photos of the equine athletes in Greenwich. However, he arrived a month early and managed to travel and explore the country a bit before the big event.

Mnyama Malkia , or Malkia.
She mainly goes by Malkia though, as her first name can be difficult to pronounce.

It means "Animal queen" in swahili, the mother tongue of the Swahili people. The language itself is spoken by a range of people living in the African Great Lakes region.

Female

Malkia is an African safari guide, leading tourists through the wild on an amazing safari. Ever since she was a young bean, she has adored the wildlife of Africa that she read about. She started out learning everything she could about the wildlife of Africa. After many years of studying and learning as much as she could, she finally landed her dream job.

She works pretty much every day of the week, though she never complains. She loves how close the African wildlife is to her when she is taking others out on a tour. Unlike the zoo, everything is free and natural. The animals are completely natural and in their own environments, teaching her more than any book might have told her. She feels at one with the animals around her and never complains about her job.

It may not be the most luxurious job in the world, but she loves it and that is all that matters to her.

Name: I would name this bean Rosanna. At first I thought I would name her Annabeth, but a bit more thinking made me change my mind. I like the "anna" bit though, so I thought "how about Rosanna?". Then I chose to edit it Roxanna, then I changed back to Rosanna, which I like best.

Gender: Rosanna would be a girl, her features scream "female"

What is this JBD's Profession?: Rosanna is a professional breakdancer. During the day she teaches other beans to breakdance, during the night she performs with a rap group. It can be exhausting at times, and she's had plenty of injuries in her time, but she loves it.

This would have to be her most favourite. This is the one that she adores dancing to and, when nobody is looking, singing to. She prefers the radio edit to the original, as she doesn't really like dancing to music with swears.
