Bambi
I chose the name Bambi after the iconic cartoon fawn.
As a newborn, Bambi the fawn was very shy and small,
and that reminded me of this Kiamara.

Bambi woke up to the shining sun in her face. She stood up and stretched feeling utterly relaxed. Her stomach growled and she looked in her pantry, finding nothing good enough for breakfast. "I'll just make some apple sauce!" Walking out of her den, she looked around briefly to see if anyone she knew was around. Seeing, to her dismay, that there was not, she trotted towards the market, messenger bag at her side. She stopped at the apple stand and looked up. "Excuse me," she said softly. No reply. "E-Excuse me...if you have the time....." she trailed off. The merchant peeked over the stand and saw her. "Go away kid, I'm looking for business." Bambi put her head down in shame and walked away. Still in need of apples, she headed to the apple orchard down the street. When she arrived she was out of breath, it was a long walk for someone with such short legs. In the orchard, there was a ladder, a bucket, and a painted sign that read,
"Pick your own apples." Bambi put down her bag and began to scale the ladder but when she reached the top, they were still far out of her reach. She sighed and climbed back down, spirits crushed.
The small kiamara made her way to the local brunch restaurant and got a table where her waitress gave her a kit's menu. "O-Oh, ma'am, I'm so sorry...I'm an a-adult," she explained softly. The waitress apologized and brought back an adult menu when Bambi heard a scream. "Help, somebody help! There's a child stuck in the sewer!" Bambi rushed out, children were her weakness. Outside there were lots of kiamaras talking hurriedly. "All of the adults are too large to fit in the pipes, and the children are too young!" Bambi closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and stepped up. "I-I can h-h-help." The other kiamaras parted and let her through. Bambi crawled in to the small, damp pipes and called out, "Hello?" She heard the whimper of a child and crawled in deeper. There, laying in a dead end, was a shivering baby. She grabbed it by the scruff of it's neck and gently dragged it out. When she emerged, she could hear the silence, everyone was holding their breath. She turned around, the baby at her paws. Loud cheers suddenly erupted and she let a small smile come to her face. She looked at the crowd, cheering for her, and whispered,
"Maybe being different isn't so bad after-all."
