Open your eyes 'cause another day is dawning.....

As evening dawns and the sky shatters into a spectrum of bronze, I must wonder briefly to myself, what insanity grips my mind as to bend my will, to force my limbs to continue to those long forgotten promises and legends left by all the perished souls. Such cruelness of reality, as it always throws me back from my hopes and dreams, but not today. Finally, I can see it with my own eyes, before me.I dare tread to the path of the shadows, where the darkness engulfs all and waits with baited breath as creatures of this hollow light scratch at the surface of your psychic and physical soul. But no. Today, I shall prevail against those forces, as I now fall into the dark.

Children of the moon, can you hear them all calling?

Kumosagashi perches willingly on my arm, used to the darkness that blankets the earth every rotation of the moon. He's glowing like a nightclub at zero hour, while I bathe in its comforting light. There is an eerie fog in the air, mixing and curdling with dank air. Feeling with my hands helplessly, as creatures scuttle and scatter, screech and howl, growl and jitter. An undeniable sense of impending seems to hang over our heads, and Kumo nestles himself deeper, up and down into my neck. Suddenly, there is silence, and through that, a low hum, and a bright purple glow...

Move like you want it, Groove like you need it......

They come like lightening, streaking past leaving each corner of darkness vulnerable with its ghostly glow. They dance, like lilac flames, never to burn out. They grasp, they tear, they rip, every touch burns into the mind, the very core of my body. I stumble, desperately trying to evade the pursuing doom. But my goal, is beyond them, and to go beyond, I must seek through. I close my eyes, and walk into the purple death. But deaths final grasp slips, and I fall back to the living. I hit something smooth and hard.
I can feel it, I just feel like getting up and dancing right now. But now is not the time to celebrate, now is the time to be swift.

Dancing it up till the sun goes down.

I grasped at the object, and hoped with all my heart it would be what I desired. The metallic taste of blood and fear lingers around me, and I realise my time is now. I sprint, Kumo is by my side, and nods in agreement to my silent command. The world begins to turn white, and my skin is soaked to the point of drowning. The whiteness plumes behind us, as we begin to excelerate. Faster, faster. My skin burns, as if its going to be ripped clean off my brittle bones. Then I realise, I'm not even moving any more. Kumo is there, grinning, as I turn back to see receding darkness and purple ripples. That place was the stuff of nightmares, something that will haunt me forever, but its gone, for now. A wave of relief sweeps through me, and even more so, as I gaze at my prize.

other:(the story is from the point of view of my fursona, Poof. she is a cloudcat, not the adoptable. these cloudcats are cats with feathered wings. they come in light colors and live on clouds. there r also stormcats, which r dark colors, have bat wings, and live in storm clouds. that was a little extra info to help understand the story.)
i walk through darkness. nothing but darkness, in which i can see only myself, but nothing more. it is strange somehow, how ive always thought of myself as a being of light, but now i feel comfortable in such shadows. i dont expect something to lunge at me, i would not see it anyway, but this purple smoke wreaths around my paws and seems to call me. not in the evil way, tricking my mind into a deadly trap, but soothingly, and i feel... almost as if its shy. not trusting me completely, but wiling and lost enough to keep me in its grasp. in its net of shadows.
i keep flying forward, or is it back, or left, or right? but it doesnt matter as my wings give in and i am cradled by the night. i suddenly stumble and fall, a fall that seems to last forever but soon i land on ground. but there is no ground, yet i walk here in this endless purple and soon see a glow. it is timid, almost not a light, but the opposite, shadow. i keep going as it suddenly intensifies, blinding me as i trip on something hard and smooth.
i cant see it and suddenly appear in the shasow of my tree. it wasnt a dream, more like unconsously being in that darkness. i see a black egg next to me, emanating that pull. it reminds me of shadows. i will name her Kage.

"Well if you were me... you would be stuck in a tree. Yes i Rosemary am the stupidest girl to live. A TREE! i am stuck in the stupidest tree alive... But then my luck changed.
Yes i was still stuck in the tree... so that part was bad. But i saw huge flapping wings. I tug and pull. "IM FREE" i below out. The shape turns to look at me. I froze... My luck just went down hill.
The big shape lunged at me. It snarled and snaped *it is a rune dragon!* i remebered my friend bena telling me about them. I stepped out of the way. The huge creature suddenly went ridged. It flew off in a flurry.
ANOTHER ONE!!!! Just then another rune dragon flew down from the sky. It was hissing and spitting. Then i see Bena running up to us. "Catch it, its hurt!" i quickly and easily grab the dragon. Bena smiled and took it kindly. The dragon looked at her.
Just as we were leaving... i saw a pinkish glow in the sand. I squeal in delight and bring it over to Bena. "Good work rose... you can keep it" Bena says to me." "and that is how i got my first rune dragon!" i told my class.

(two things, bena if you dont like that i used you i can make a diffrent story... and second the story is like rosemary is telling the class at school how she got her rune dragon !)

Walking around with a book settled nicely in my hands I read on about Rune Dragons, then my dream began. To have one would be wonderful, no matter what age I found it I would be bound to do my best at everything for the sack of him/her. My eyes shut as I yawned, the night sky rose softly. Heading home I felt a breeze, shivering I took a moment and cuddled under a tree as rain began to fall. The rain was a bright purple in one area, what was it? Moving towards it I saw the egg and my eyes light up. I had my dream, it came true! I picked it up with care and wrapped it in the blanket with me to keep it from the rain. Minutes flew by, I didn't care about anything but this egg for now and forever.

There were tales of these small dragons. Small dragons. Sized to about owls, I believe. I like to read about them, in secret. I've always thought my family would not approve of my readings. Why would they? They were all these fancy learners. So rich, so elegant. They way they held themselves was perfect. I, I was very clumsy. They often shunned me because of the shame they thought was held above my head. Sometimes, I even thought they would cut off the string of the shame upon my head. Sometimes. Anyways, this story isn't about my shamefulness. It's about Rune Dragons - the small dragons I spoke of earlier. It happened on this one evening. Let me describe the setting. The sky was as blue as blue could be, the clouds, well I suppose, missing. The sun was high in the sky, as proud as could be. And where was I? Well, I was in the library..

"What do you mean by not in stock anymore?!" I screeched. The librarian kept a calm pose, as if she wasn't phased by my high-pitched scream. "Ma'am, I am telling you that book is out of stock." she spoke. I coughed, and tried to act less hectic. "Where's Sophie?" I asked in a gentle manner. "Haven't you heard, miss? She eloped." My eyebrows knit in frustration as I thought of words to respond with. "Thank you. I hope I will be seeing you soon." I said, stiffly heading towards the exit. I could feel the librarian's eyes trained on my stiff body. I quickened my pace by a bit. I eventually reached the bronze handle of the door and turned it open.

"Darn librarians, letting Sophie leave. Why'd she have to leave? I mean, can't she stay here with her dumb husband here? What's the difference?" I asked myself in frustration. I kicked a rock, flinching afterwards. "Ow, ow, ow!" I began holding my left heel and dropped into a nearby bush. I let out an exclaim of surprise as I felt leaves and branches pierce my skin. I quietly cursed, trying to find ground. Instead, I found a smooth surface. Of course, it wasn't flat. More.. egg-shaped. I grew curious and quickly got up. It was an egg! Eureka! My heart started to race, so I swiftly grabbed my pack and found the book I was searching for. "Oh yes." I whispered the words. I flipped to page 56 and set the petite book to the side of the egg. I gasped. The egg matched the egg in the book! Well, sort of. The egg was more detailed and had more of a dark, gloomy atmosphere, instead of a light, happy feeling as the book portrayed. "Is this a Rune Dragon's egg?" I asked myself, feeling myself tingle with excitement. I shrieked and carefully placed the book in my pack, followed shortly by the ebony egg. I trudged to home, quietly congratulating myself that nobody noticed me.


I ran up the stairs and up to my room. I sighed and set my pack upon my bed. I opened it and observed it with more attention to more of the finer, less noticeable details incorporated on the chubby egg. There was this feeling I couldn't get off about it. It was dark. Mysterious. I liked it. A lot.
