Prompt: Max was relieved that everything had worked out in the end. He felt a little silly that he hadn't realized sooner that Eyes's friend Honeydew had been someone he knew all along. Then again, his mate, Mirabel, was the one who did most of the shopping for their family so if anyone would have recognized him earlier, it would have been her!

The rainbow Chicoon figured after all the excitement, a trip to Deja Brew was warranted! He thought to himself, perhaps now would be a good time for Eyes to meet his mate and their twins? They needed a little distraction to help them calm down from all this strange activity. It wasn't every day that a strange hole in the ground turned into a Chicoon! Max told Eyes and Anzu that he wanted to check on his family, and that he would meet them at the café in a little bit.

After splitting up from his friends, Max went home to talk to Mirabel, Lottie, and Quinn about finally meeting his friend from the maze. Lottie and Quinn were absolutely beside themselves with joy! After dancing around with her brother for a moment, Lottie stopped and shouted, "Wait! Wait!" She said they couldn't leave until she found the new drawing that she had made for Eyes. It was one of the best drawings she'd ever done, and she wanted to share it with her daddy's friend! So once she had found her drawing, the little family headed off to Deja Brew to meet up with Eyes and Anzu.

"I'm back!" Max announced, finding his friends at the table where he and Eyes usually sat. "Eyes. Anzu. I'd like you to meet my mate, Mirabel, and our kids, Lottie and Quinn." He smiled down at his little rambunctious children. "This is Eyes, and his friend, Anzu. Eyes calls him Honeydew."

Lottie's eyes widened. "Honeydew! Daddy said you were trapped inside the Pit!"

Quinn's wings flapped. "What was it like? Was it dark and scary? Daddy didn't say how you escaped. Did Daddy help you get out?"

"Kids, don't pester them too much," Max said with a laugh. "I'm sure at some point they'll be willing to tell you all about the maze and the Pit." Before his kids could start asking more questions, the rainbow Chicoon gestured at the piece of paper Lottie was holding. "Why don't you share what you brought for Eyes?"

Suddenly shy, Lottie ducked her head behind her father's leg and held out a piece of paper for Eyes to take.



From behind her father, Lottie exclaimed, "I learned about hydras in school! It's a Chicoon hydra! I call it a Chicoondra! It can shoot laser beams from its eyes!" Feeling braver, she stepped out from behind Max and kept talking. "If you cut off one head, it grows back like a bajillion more!"

Mirabel placed a quiet kiss on Max's cheek and whispered that she would go order them some drinks. Max pulled some more chairs over so he, Quinn, and Lottie could sit down. The rainbow Chicoon noticed it had started gently snowing outside as he sat down with his friends and his children. It sure had been an eventful day. But now he was here, in this cozy little café, listening to his daughter interact with Eyes and Anzu. He smiled and thought to himself that there was no other place he would rather be.

Prompt: Yogi had never felt happier, as he witnessed Eyes and Anzu embrace. Seeing Eyes overjoyed made Yogi's heart beat just a little quicker, and he could not help the stupid grin on his face, which was strange for him considering he was always grumpy. Anzu introduced himself, and Yogi politely dipped his head as a greeting. Anzu embarrassed Eyes by mentioning how often he mentioned Yogi. H-he talks about me a lot? Yogi thought, feeling his cheeks turn red. "I-I'm glad I met you too, Eyes." Yogi admitted, giving him another smile. "You mean a lot to me." Yogi proceeded to sit next to Eyes as they listened to the announcement, his tail grazing his lightly, before he awkwardly wrapped it around his paws. When the announcement was over, Yogi turned to Eyes and thought about his offer to meet at the coffee shop. "I have a better idea." He said with a smirk and a twinkle in his eyes.

Yogi led Anzu and Eyes to the top of a nearby hill and then surprised them with sleds. "Winter is almost over, and I have yet to go sledding." He said, looking at them both with a playful grin. Before they could respond, Yogi threw a snowball at Eyes, the snow colliding ungracefully with his nose. "Good luck catching me!" Yogi began, hopping on to his sled and racing down the slope. "AHHHHH, THIS ISN'T WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!" Yogi yelled, his grip on the sled tightening as it quickened down the hill. After a few minutes, the brown Chicoon crashed into a pile of snow. He poked his head out of the snow and groaned. The things I do for my friends.

Cassidy was a bit surprised to see Anzu was the mysterious friend that Eyes had lost, although now that she though about about it it probably should've been a more obvious. Regardless, she was more than happy to see the two reunited. Her happiness however faded a bit into embarrassment at their compliments.

At the mention of getting coffee Cass laughed. Who would've though getting a get of coffee would turn into this? At least she would have an exciting story to tell her girlfriend when she got back home.
With a gentle smile Cassidy looked at Eyes and Anzu. "Would you guys like to come back to my place? Im sure my girlfriend wouldn't mind and some coffee or tea would help warm us up. It is pretty chilly after all." She had some board games they could all play together and relax with. Nothing sounded better then taking a minute to rest right now after all that happened. Surely Eyes and Anzu could use a rest as well.

Prompt: Sara smiles when Eyes sees Honeydew and starts rushing over, following as quickly as possible so as not to delay their reunion. She realizes Honeydew is Anzu, the shopkeeper, as the two get closer, and grins. They watch the reunion happily, glad that the search was successful! Sara just listens silently as the two catch up, and when Anzu asks her if she is 'the coffee friend' she nods with a smile. Sara looks over at Eyes in concern when he chokes after Anzu's statement about talking about them a lot. "Are you alright?"
A big smile settles on Sara's face when Eyes says he is glad he met her, and stays there throughout the rest of his speech. "I am glad I could help! I am always happy to help you, Eyes." Sara says, their smile only seeming to grow bigger, and their wings flap a bit from happiness. "And I am really glad I met you as well! Some of my favorite memories are with you, too."
The announcement about the Pit relieves the last of Sara's concerns- she is glad that Pit is okay and that everything worked out! Now entirely free of worry, Sara's happiness seems to shine in their eyes and smile as they turn back towards Eyes and Anzu. "Of course," she immediately replies to Eyes' question. There was no way they would turn down an opportunity to hang out with Eyes, and they were looking forward to learning more about Anzu too!
Sara walks back to Deja Brew with Eyes and Anzu, happily listening to the two exchange stories and occasionally telling one of her own. They enjoy a nice cup of their favorite drink as the trio talks some more, and when they had all finished their drinks they decide to wander around town, looking at all the winter activities that have been going on. Sara cheerfully shows Eyes and Anzu the snowmen, snow chicoons, and snow crewmates she made. Then the trio visits Carol, and Sara helps out with a bit of snow shoveling one last time, telling Eyes and Anzu about the time they pretended they were playing Among Us and shoveling snow was their tasks. She giggles, remembering how she called an 'emergency meeting' in the middle of it.
After spending so much time outside, the trio heads to get some Hot Jhocolate, and Sara's of course is full of chocolate chips. "You can never have too much chocolate," Sara explains with a grin. The rest of the day is spent similarly, wandering around town and exchanging stories. Eventually, it is nearly night time, and Sara looks over at Eyes and Anzu hopefully. "Would you like to go stargazing?" When the two agree, Sara cheers and eagerly leads the way to the hill, where they all watch the sun finish setting and the stars appear in the sky.
A shooting star appears in the sky, and the only wish Sara can think of is that they hope they will spend many more days like this, hanging out with their friends.

Prompt: Tristan could not help but chuckle warmly, a smile splitting his face nearly ear to ear as he watched the reunion take place. So Eyes' friend was Anzu the Shopkeeper... who would have guessed? "Well it is nice to meet you officially," he managed to reply, holding out a paw. "Eyes has said a lot of good things about you too! He really cares about you," Tristan added with a wink, gently nudging Eyes in the shoulder as he said this.

He listens to the explanations before sighing softly. "I am just glad it turned out alright for everyone. What a scary experience!" He sighed out, before perking at the mention of getting a drink. "I would LOVE that! Let's all go together!" He added, bouncing in place a bit. "Come on, we can all exchange stories of our adventures... like a real Explorer's Club! Friends!" He is all too cheerful, but glad to be out of the wierd chaos as he gestures his friends to follow.

Prompt: Mimey giggled. "It's okay, Eyes... my friends say I tend to talk about you quite a lot too, teehee!" She laughed. "It's really nice to finally meet you, Anzu! If Eyes didn't mention, this is my Parasite, Silly," she gestured to her 5th arm, and Silly smiled "Hi!!!" He excitedly shouted as Mimey continued. "And this is Nighty!" A green dino runner with pastel rainbow scales popped out from behind Eyes and Mimey. After what seems like a moment of consideration from the cute little creature, he lovingly rubbed his head on Anzu's leg, much to Mimey's amusement. "He seems to like you a lot!" She grinned. She saw Eyes glance over at Anzu, and then back to her. "Want to grab a coffee?" Both Anzu and Mimey eagerly agreed, dreams of a nice, sweet white chocolate mocha frappuchino dancing through her mind. "That sounds.. amazing.." She said, in a daze from such a yummy image as Anzu and Eyes laughed. "Wow, I didn't think Deja Brew made such a good frappe," He looked over at Eyes. "That's the cafe, right? You two met at?" "Yeah, have you never been there?" "Um... no, I don't think so.. I have been meaning to try it, though." He turned to Mimey "What do you think I should get?" He asked with a smile. "Hm... Cinnamon swirl latte with extra whip. And cinnamon sprinkled on top with a chocolate straw or two." Anzu's eyes widened and he laughed. "That sounds delicious!" "I saw someone order that a while ago, it looked AMAZING! Mimey gives really good drink reccommendations." "Food too!" "And food, yep. She told me to order this sticky honey-bun, and it was one of the greatest things like, ever. with powdered sugar on top, oh, just thinking about it makes me really hungry," He looked up at a direction sign. "Good thing it looks like we're almost there!" After a few more minutes, the three friends reached the cafe. The hostess watched them come in. "Oh, I see you've got a new friend here! Your table's over there, feel free to pull up a chair!" They sat down, chatted for a while, and enjoyed their drinks as they waited on the food. Mimey suddenly spoke up. "So, there's this snow festival down in the large field tommorow, if you two don't have anything to do, what do you say we all go?" Eyes smiled. "I'd love to go, Mimey!" She looked over at Anzu, awaiting an answer. "Yeah, I'm free. Let's do it!" The group cheered, and the waiter came by with their food, after finishing their meals and Mimey insisting she pay, the group eventually had to go home. It was getting dark and the cafe would close soon. Mimey gave both Anzu and Eyes a big hug. "Bye, guys! See you tommorow!" They both smiled and bid farewell to her. As she walked home from the cafe, as her house was only a 10 minute walk, she couldn't wait to see her friends tomorrow!

Tomorrow came, very eagerly awaited by the three Chicoons. They all decided to meet at the halfway point from all their houses, a large, beautiful tree adorned with lights. Of course, it was early morning, so the lights weren't visible with the bright sun. "Hey, guys!" Eyes ran up to them, a few minutes late. "Hey, Eyes!" Mimey piped up. "I'm really sorry I was late, I couldn't find my gloves for the life of me!" Anzu and Mimey laughed. "It's okay, Eyes! Let's get a move-on, though. We need to get in line for the first snowball fight!" They all cheered on the walk there. It was a lovely day, and snow flurries drifted lazily through the air as they all thought of a team name. Right as they reached the field, where the snow day was, they decided to call themselves the "Three Musketeers", a name recommended by Anzu, and approved by both Eyes and Mimey. They hopped in line for the snowball fight with great excitement, and they were picked for the first game! This was no ordinary snowball fight, either. There were large snow fortresses, large piles of snow for perfect grab-and-go snowballs, and most importantly, a lot of eager players! "READY.." the announcer called out. All the chicoons were lined up, ready to dash, dodge, and direct snowballs at other players! "GO!!" Anzu ran up the snow tower to get a height advantage. Eyes slipped through every defense the other teams had, and threw snowballs like there was no tomorrow! Mimey stayed back to defend, with her giant size aiding greatly. After what seemed like an hour of fun-filled fights, the "Three Musketeers" won the game! They all jumped for joy, hugging each other excitedly. They all got sparkling golden medals and a peculiar ticket for each. "These tickets get you a free fruit pie from the baked goods stand!" They all got excited. All that snowball fighting was tiring, and a nice, piping-hot pie for lunch sounded great! "Let's go there next. I'm starving!" "Me too!" "Me three!!" They all laughed.

The "Pie Pit" was even greater than the three victors dreamed. Mimey got a strawberry pie, Eyes got a blueberry pie, and Anzu got an apple pie. The three hungry chicoons devoured their pies. "That was the yummiest thing I've ever had!" "You can say that again. Hey, what's that?" Anzu pointed over to one of the other empty fields where a lot of chicoons were gathering. "Dunno, let's check it out!" They all walked over, and Mimey inquired. "Snowman building contest!" She ran back to the group yelling in excitement. "Let's enter!" "Ok, let's do it! What should we make?" "Hm.. I'm not sure. Let's go enter, first things first!" The group entered under the same team name they used for their snowball fight escapades. "Let's make.. us! We can even add Nighty, since he can't be here!" Eyes and Anzu agreed, and when the timer started, so did they, with swift speed. "TIME"S UP, CONTESTANTS!" The three were very proud of their snow creations. The judges walked around for a while, and were amazed to see all three of their snowmen! "Most teams only build one. Very impressive." The judges smiled as they walked back to the booth. The Three Musketeers crossed their fingers and got second place! Though it didn't come with a fancy medal, they were already content with their snowball achievements. They did, however, get a free dinner at an Italian resturant called "Uncle Tony's Garden" Mimey read the ticket and they all audibly "ooh"ed at the sound of breadsticks, salad, and pasta. "That sounds great! Let's go there for dinner tonight, maybe in about two or three hours?" "Sounds good to me!" "That's nice we have dinner planned out! Now, I saw a super cool activity over this way, let's go check it out, and a few more before dinner!" (1,158 words)

Prompt: Everett did not like making decisions for the simple reason that everyone liked something different. What Anzu enjoyed might not be what Everett wanted to do with their spare time. “Do you want to spend our morning making sure these Chicoons get reunited with their friends and families? Some of them look in shock, and most of them look confused. I am worried that they might not be able to find their way home.” Everett had a concerned look on their face. “If you both help, I am sure we will get it done quickly. Afterwards, we can check out some of the booths around here.” Everett turned to greet some of the Chicoons that emerged from the pit, asking them their names and if they remembered the names of their families. With the assistance of Eyes and Anzu, the three friends made quick work of making sure everyone was alright after the whole pit ordeal.

Once Everett’s initial goal was accomplished, they turned to face Eyes and Anzu. “Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. I just cannot imagine what it must be like for some of those poor souls. Think about how it must be to be trapped in the pit. Now, suddenly, they have to get used to being in the real world again.” Everett shivered, shaking their head as if they had a nightmare. “How about we go check out the hot chocolate booth now? I think we all deserve some hot, delicious drinks.” Everett glanced toward Eyes. “I hope you do not think I’m sick of our coffee dates. I just think it would be interesting to check out this booth!”

At the hot chocolate stand, Everett ordered a large hot chocolate with chocolate chips, sprinkles, and whipped cream. “Jeez, this might be difficult to drink!” They exclaimed, their eyes bulging. “I hope you guys enjoy your drinks! I think I overheard someone mention a field of snowmen that some Chicoons designed. Let’s walk there with our drinks and check it out.”

The trio surveyed the snow field, occasionally pointed out a cool looking snowman. “Woah, look at that one! It looks like Cedar!” Everett stood in awe. Of course, the snowman was not close to Cedar’s size at all, but it was still cool to look at. “Some Chicoons are really talented. It truly amazes me. I think we should go into town, but let’s try to be careful of these smaller snow creatures. I would not want to accidentally step on one.”

Walking into town, Everett, Eyes, and Anzu checked out a few shops. Everett asked Eyes and Anzu to tell them stories from their childhood. It made Everett very happy to see Eyes’ face light up as he recalled happy memories from his life before the maze. One day, Everett hoped that Eyes could be that happy again. Maybe it wouldn’t be the same type of happy as before the maze, but Everett would settle for a “new” happy. With the maze on their mind, Everett stopped in front of a bookstore. “Did you ever think about what might be next for you?” They turned to look at Eyes. “I know you talked about maybe learning about the barista trade, or getting back into potions.” Their eyes flickered to Anzu, pausing their short speech. “I like your hair by the way. I heard it was a bit of a mess for you to get that hair.” They laughed before continuing. “I was thinking about your life, Eyes, and I think maybe you should write a book. I know it is hard for you to talk about the maze, but I think it would be almost therapeutic for you to write about. It could kind of be like a self help book! You can inspire others with your story. No matter what the challenge may be, anyone with determination and courage could overcome any obstacle.” Everett looked at the bookstore’s name — “A New Chapter.” Their ears flapped excitedly as they talked. “I think this could be the start of a new chapter in your book of life, Eyes. I just want to see you prosper.” Everett fell silent, their eyes wandering from Eyes to Anzu. Finally, they said, “I want the both of you to be in my new chapter too. In fact, I hope you are around for the entirety of the book of my life.” Everett looked up at the now night sky, a tear rolling down their cheek as a shooting star passed by.

Mandarin couldn’t hold himself back as he gave Anzu a big hug as well. Even though he barely knew the fellow chicoon he felt like they were already friends. When he let go of him he took a few steps back and smiled sheepishly at him ”S-sorry I’m usual not like this. Eyes just spoke so much about you that I feel like we are already friends.” he tried to explain his actions to the Anzu. Hearing him being referred to as Eyes coffee friend he blushed furiously. Not realizing that Eyes had spoke about him to other chicoons. He felt rather embarrassed at whole thing though he didn’t understand why.

Soon it melted away by Eyes funny antics as always. Grateful that he had met such a caring chicoon. ”How could I not help you? You’ve become on of my dearest friends and you’ve helped me become more comfortable around others. I use to be so scared of my making friends!” he joked with eyes nudging him slightly.

Jumping at the shout of Cedar he clung onto Eyes as if to ground himself. Then gave him a bashful smile realizing how silly he was being. Soon it turned into a grin as his friend offered to get coffee ”When have I ever said no to coffee with you? Oh Anzu you’ll come too right? I’d love to get to know you better! I only know a little since Eyes was so frantic in looking for you.” he gave his friend a cheeky grin as he poked fun at him a bit. Then gave Eyes a more puzzled look ”Is the coffee shop even open? It’s pretty late…” he frowned slightly. Disappointed they most likely couldn’t get coffee at their usual spot.

Then his eyes light up as he remembered where they were heading before the pit did the strange thing. ”OH OH I HAVE AN IDEA!” he said rather excitedly not realizing he basically shouted it. When he did he looked apologetically at the other two chicoons ”Sorry… but I’d just offered for Eyes to come to my place. It isn’t far and you can join Anzu! I’ve got stuff to make coffee or tea if you prefer that. Though it all mostly is orange flavored… I have a couple others that I got because of Eyes. So there should be something you like too! We can sit around chatting! Oh and the pillow fort we gotta make a pillow fort-“ he paused mid sentence ”Sorry again, I’m just excited for the first time at the thought of making a new friend. See it’s never been easy for me really. I really only have Kiara and Eyes. So the idea of maybe you becoming my friend as well makes me so happy, that is if you’re up to it?” he questioned the other chicoon.

Prompt: Stripe's wings flap in excitement at the prospect of getting a drink, and Anzu agrees as well. They head to the Deja Brew, and Eyes and Stripe end up ushering Anzu to try out certain things on the menu they had enjoyed. They all go through several drinks and snacks, making idle conversation and laughing about funny stories they told each other. Stripe started stealing the straws from their cups and bending them into little animal shapes, reassuring Eyes that it's fine, they'll give the straws back when they leave, don't worry about it. At some point Stripe's phone had lit up mid-conversation and they briefly ducked out of the conversation to check on their message, finding it was from their friend Firecracker asking if they had anything in their house that he might be able to bring to a party, please he forgot to make something he's desperate I beg of you Stripe. After informing their friend that he could probably find something in the pile of crafts they've done, just take whatever, they reassure Anzu and Eyes that it was no big deal, just a friend asking for something. They spend a bit more time in the Deja Brew, before they all decide to go find something else to do. They end up visiting the Hot Jocolate stand to take advantage of the closing sale, before finding a nice snowy spot to make some sculptures in. Anzu makes a really cool potion bottle made of snow, Eyes kind of just makes a cube that somehow doesn't have any imperfections, and Stripe makes a sort of fort bubble thing, a big mass of snow with space in the center to hang out in. They didn't quite make it to fit more than one Chicoon, though, and the group ended up making it a challenge to see if they could all fit in the space. Eventually it collapsed on them from their efforts, and they all laughed it off. The sky had darkened and was beginning to fill with stars by then, and Stripe stretches their limbs for a moment. "It's getting a little late now, we might wanna head home. It was really fun hanging out with you two, I'd love to spend some more time together whenever you guys are up to it!" Stripe says excitedly.

Prompt: Shiloh continued to look around at all the different faces that emerged from the pit. As they searched for familiar faces, they noticed that Eyes was scanning the scene as well. When this initially started, Shiloh was hoping that Eyes would be able to find his lost friend, but was fearing for the worst. As the two stood together, Eyes suddenly stood still, focusing on a chicoon in the distance. Shiloh watched as Eye’s expression lifted, with wide eyes and a large grin. Before they knew it, they felt a strong grab on their arm and was being dragged towards the blurred silhouette in the distance.
When the two approached the chicoon, Eye’s wings began to flap in excitement. Eye’s looked back to Shiloh and explained that this was his lost friend, Honeydew, that they were previously searching for. Shiloh glanced at honeydew and smiled amiably before turning back to Eyes. In confusion, Shiloh thought to themselves before asking, “So Eyes, this is Honeydew? I recognize him! He is the shopkeeper, right? I’ve purchased a few things from him before in the past, but I have always known him as Anzu.” Eyes began to explain to Shiloh that Anzu was Honeydew! He and Anzu began talking amongst each other about how they were really close growing up and how they have always been best friends.

As Eyes and Anzu embraced each other and began catching up, Shiloh felt a sense of relief and happiness for their new friend. Seeing the expression on both of their faces once they realized they found one another warmed their heart. They could tell how much Anzu meant to him and how close they were. Their bond made Shiloh think of the friendship they have with their best friend, Etch, who they could not fathom living without. These past few days chatting with Eyes have been a great experience. To Shiloh, Eyes is a great chicoon all-around and they are happy to have them as their friend. It was heartbreaking to see them so upset over Anzu’s disappearance and were so happy they could see Eyes this happy.

As Shiloh, Eyes, and Anzu were talking to each other and sharing stories, Eyes mentioned that the three of them should go grab a coffee together and chat at Deja Brew. Shiloh grinned at the question, “I would love to! Also, I would love to know more about you Anzu. Truthfully all I know about you is that you’re the shopkeeper and although that is very interesting, I would like to know more about you as a chicoon.” Anzu smiled at Shiloh and then glanced over to Eyes, “Of course! I would love to know more about you as well. I feel like we could discuss more over a cup of coffee and maybe a few snacks. I would love to hear more about the days you and Eyes have had as well!” The three agreed that they would split up and head over to Deja Brew today.

Although Shiloh was excited to continue talking to Eyes and also learn more about Anzu, but they couldn’t help but feel guilty. They frowned, which was acknowledged by Eyes and Anzu. The two asked what was going on, to which Shiloh looked over to Eyes, “I loved hanging out with you these past few days Eyes.” they turned to Anzu, “And I would love to get to know you Anzu, but…” they looked towards the ground, “I haven’t seen my buddy Etch in a while and I feel pretty down about not hanging out with him much lately or even talking to him. This experience has given me a lot to think about. I need to see him more.” they explained. The two reassured Shiloh that he would understand why they haven’t been around as much, especially during the winter. Eyes and Anzu looked at each other and then at Shiloh, almost as if they were sharing the same idea. Eyes stopped, “You know Shiloh, Etch is more than welcome to come too!” he smiled. Shiloh’s wings flapped in excitement, “Really? You guys don’t mind? He is very friendly and means a whole lot to me. He would be so excited to meet you two! I’ll ask him!”

After the three split up, Shiloh went home to get ready to go Deja Brew to meet their friends. They had tried to contact Etch on the way home, but he did not answer. As Shiloh was sorting through their wardrobe to find an outfit, Etch messaged them back. The message read, “Hey buddy!!! It’s been too long, I’ve really missed you! Of course I’ll come! I’ve never met Eyes and I have only seen Anzu a few times, but any friend of yours is a friend of mine! I’ve been into some crazy things here lately, but I’ll tell you when I see you in a little bit! I’ll be at your house in 10, I don’t want to show up alone.” Shiloh smiled as they finished reading the message. They were so excited to see him, it’s felt like forever. Also, they just knew that Eyes and Anzu would like him and that Etch would enjoy meeting them.

As Shiloh and Etch entered the doors of Deja Brew, Shiloh scanned the room looking for Eyes and Anzu. Suddenly, Shiloh heard a loud, “over here guys!” come from the right side of the cafe. The two walked over and sat down. Shiloh smiled at the two and directed their arm towards Etch, “This is Etch! He is my best friend.” Etch’s wings flapped happily as he grinned, “Hi guys! It’s so good to finally meet you. Although I’ve only been around Shiloh for maybe 15 minutes before we came, they have told me so much about you guys and what you’ve been doing the past few days! I’m glad you guys are all safe.” Shiloh, Eyes, and Anzu nodded in unison. Eyes and Anzu introduced themselves to Etch, explaining that they were also childhood friends. Etch looked at the two who were sitting side-by-side, “I can definitely see that! You guys seem inseparable, it’s always good to have someone like that.” he looked over and smiled at Etch. The four of them rose from their seats and walked together to the ordering stand in the cafe, each choosing a beverage and a snack to go along with it. As they sat down, the four began to exchange stories and laughs with one another. Although the past few days were ones that involved unknowingness and fear, they were finally able to have a day where they could all relax together. Shiloh could not wait to make new memories with their friends, old and new alike. Hopefully they could have more days like this.
