Gonna continue trying to fix it! But maybe...after a little lunch break.

With a heavy sigh, Korbl continued to try and fix the ride. He picked up a screwdriver and tested a few of the screws making sure none of them were loose, some were so he tightened them. A little bit fixed is better than nothing, right? Korbl thought to himself as he wandered around the ride. His stomach growled not long after, he let out a groan and sat down beside the ride.

"Aww man, I forgot to bring lunch..." He frowned, looking around. "...maybe there's a snack stand I can go get something at, yeah!" Korbl leapt up onto his paws and began to walk towards the rest of the Carnival. Carnivals always have some sort of food, really good food too! Maybe a break away for some lunch would help him clear his head and be able to think of a new way to fix the ride. It was worth a try!

As he was walking, he felt the stare of another Chicoon on him. He stopped in his steps and turned to see Ripsaw, that's what the blue Chicoon called them, right? He thought so, he hoped he was remembering right. Maybe they'd wanna join him for lunch, never hurts to offer! So with a friendly smile on his face, he trotted over towards the new Chicoon.

"Hellooo there, stranger!" He chirped, wings fluttering as he extended his hand for a hand shake. "I'm Korbl, I was gonna go get some lunch and relax a bit, wanna join me?"

Clementine and Key look over the wide assortment of items they had pulled from the shed and tried. "Well, we still have a lot we have not tried right?" Clementine offered. "And it cannot get any more broken than it already is?" Key sighed out, before glancing towards their companion nearby.

"Are we sure we want to test that with er, them looking at us so?" she asks, concerned. Clementine chuckled, offering their watcher a wink.

"It'll be fine! Besides, the best things in life come from experimentation right? Between the two of us I am confident we can do anything we out our minds to! Come on!" Key sighed softly.

"I... can never argue with your logic," she admits, wings gently flapping as she gives out an exasperated sigh. "Alright let me see... we have not tried these tools yet!" She pulls out a small handful of things, all of varying sizes and shapes. "You're right, eventually something is bound to happen. It is just odds! Just... if we smell smoke or hear anything funny we start running okay?"

"Okay! And if we get it up and running? What then?" Key gave a gentle smile, gently nuzzling her sister.

"Then we accept the victory with pride and stand tall. It was all us!"

"Alright! Let's get this thing running then! ROUND TWO!"

Blueberry gasped as he returned to an un-fixed ride. " But.. " He let out a defeated sigh as he gazed up at the ride, his wings drooping in his obvious dissapointment. " I was sure that plugging everything in would've worked. " Blueberry needed some time to think, so he decided to walk around the fair, and enjoy what it had to offer. Right as he was about to step into a ride, his eyes widened and he let out a loud, overdramatic gasp. " I've got it! " He honked loudly as he ran off, back to the ride, abandoning the one he was about to ride.

Blueberry skidded to a halt at Ripsaw's feet, who didn't appear to share his enthusiasm. " I've got it, I know why the ride isn't working! " He continued on without giving Ripsaw a chance to talk. " Someone has been messing with the ride, sabatoging it! " Blueberry's small wings flapped as he excited himself. " I'm going to solve this mystery, just you wait! " Once again, without giving the other chicoon a chance to speak, he scrambled away to the ride, nose to the ground to sniff out clues.

Blueberry made a few laps around the ride before stepping into one of the seat areas and sniffing around. His eyes widened at what he found there. More crumbs! There was a small trail leading under one of the seats, and when Blueberry stuck his paw under the seat blindly, he felt something cold and smooth on his paw pads. He was nearly shaking with anticipation as he fumbled with the object, attempting to pull it out. When he finally got it, he saw that it was a screwdriver. " Ah! The culpret must have used this to sabatoge the ride! " He exclaimed, bouncing up and down as he circled around the ride, eyes peeled. " That must mean that they unscrewed something! "

After his discovery, Blueberry spent the rest of the day tightening all of the screws he oculd find on the ride, one by one. " If this doesn't work, I don't know what I'll do! " He huffed as he tightened the last screw. By now it was night, and he finally left the ride sight to go play some carnival games. By the end of the night, he'd won a fish that he could take home! " What a great day! " He exclaimed as he went home for the night, already excited for what tomorrow has to bring.

pirouette eyed the saw warily, then glanced around the area to see if anyone else would help fix the ride. they were no mechanic, and would certainly end up with a missing finger or two if they attempted. they could certainly assist if someone else took the lead though.

Beebo has absolutely no clue what they're doing. They do not know how to fix rides. They are not a mechanic. And yet, they try to fix the ride anyways. It's a futile effort. They try everything they can, be it tightening every single bolt on the ride, or climbing along the tracks to make sure there's nothing broken up there, or digging into the ride itself and essentially reassembling it, before realizing that they don't know how it works and they probably just messed all of the inner mechanics up. Yeah, that one isn't their proudest moment. They ended up curling into a ball and crying for several hours before becoming fed up and chucking a wrench at the ride, before watching in horror as it knocked a support beam slightly out of place and they rushed to get it fixed. They cried for another thirty minutes after that disaster, before deciding that if they did end up messing up the whole ride it'd be nice to know, so they hopped in and the ride promptly broke down entirely. Beebo is on the verge of tears again. Maybe they should leave the ride fixing to someone who has a slightly better idea of what they're doing.

Leaf noticed Ripsaw staring at him, Leaf being the idiot he is decided to directly stare at ripsaw. This lasted for over an hour it would have lasted more but Leaf got distracted by the box of tools near the ride. Leaf excitedly dug around in the tool box until he finally pulled out a tool, it was a wrench! Leaf began to bang and hit random parts of the ride with the wrench, he might have caused more damage but Leaf simply did not care he was to busy digging through the tool box selecting random tools to bang into the ride. Once Leaf was finished and felt satisfied he went back to stare at ripsaw, but he got distracted again by the pile of leafs on the ground. Leaf spent the rest of the day collecting leafs and chasing down insects and animals…maybe Leaf should stick to being silly and retire from being a repair man…

Back again, Ace makes eye contact with Ripsaw from across the room. Gulp... There's something about them that is really unsettling. Better get back to work, Ace thought, momentarily forgetting that this was in fact not their job. Since turning the ride off and on again the day before hadn't work, Ace picked the first thing they found out of the toolbox, a wrench, and clanged it against the metal of the machine. The noise reverberated around the room and Ace winced. Why did they think that would work? Making a bit more of an effort, they looked for some bolts to tighten and as long as the ride didn't collapse, maybe Ace would get out of there soon. [119]

Teddy paced around the broken machine, examining it carefully. Throwing open her toolbox and rifling through the tools she eventually finds her tool of choice. The only tool Teddy has ever used or ever will use.

She produces a large hammer from the box.

She gives Ripsaw a salute before raising the hammer far above her head and slamming it down onto the already broken ride with all of her might. The sound of metal screams through the immediate area and Teddy pulls back to reveal the effects of her incredible fixing prowess.

The ride now sports an extra dent, even more pronounced than all of the rest.

“Well. If the entire thing is full of dents then none of it will be dented, right?” Teddy mutters to herself. She then nods. “Yes. That logic is sound. More dents it is!”

Teddy raises her hammer and brings it down upon the ride again and again, swinging at it like it had insulted her father. She only stops when she’s physically unable to continue and collapses on the ground in exhaustion.

“There. No more dents. Fixed it.”

The ride, of course, was incredibly dented. It looked much worse than when Teddy had gotten there. But she wasn’t about to admit that to anyone.

Max was still a little stunned at how, exactly, he'd ended up roped into fixing the rides at the carnival. Was it something about his face that made him seem like he knew what he was doing? The Chicoon was not all that educated on mechanics, let alone the inner workings of rides that one sees at carnivals. Nevertheless, he was ready to give it a try, even if he was only doing it because he figured this would be a good story to tell his twins when he met back up with them and their mother. Time to try some fixing!

Firstly, he figured it might be a good idea to see what kind of tools were available. He knew the basics. Hammer. Wrench. Um...fancier wrench, with the little adjustable bit that changes the size of the wrench opening. Screwdrivers. The Chicoon scratched his head as he muttered to himself, "Phillips and flat head. Which is which? Ah, this ones flat on the end....so this one must be the phillips."

He chuckled to himself. "Wonder why it's called that. Phillips sounds like someone's name." The Chicoon picked up the phillips head screwdriver and declared, "You shall be Sir Phillip!" When he realized a few other Chicoons nearby were staring at him, he ducked his head and dropped the screwdriver back into the toolbox.

Maybe it would be better if he continued his examination of the tools in a more secluded spot...[242 words]

And so she waited patiently after ‘turning it back on again’. What more was Enter to do, after all? Moment passed by slowly, bit by bit…before--

Nothing. She sighed softly, shaking her head. Okay. That was being FAR too optimistic about the situation, admittedly, but it was worth a shot. Right? Given the harsh looks given to her by Ripsaw…she wasn’t absolutely sure, but it was no reason to panic. Just stay calm. Focus. They were counting on her, even if she wasn’t quite who they were expecting. Enter was kind of just roped into this mess, actually.

So what was she to do now, exactly, with her simple solution out of the way? Well-- first things first, she’d unplug the amusement ride from the socket again. The first time was for the simple solution. This time? This time was simply to make sure she didn’t accidentally shock herself while trying to figure things out. That meant, of course, that she’d have to plug it back in every single time she was done in order to test whether or not her tinkering had made any progress. This wasn’t exactly ideal, but what more could one really do or ask for? Well, there was one thing…

She took one passing glance at Ripsaw-- before shaking her head. Okay. Maybe if she got desperate for an extra set of helping hands on the matter, she’d request his assistance. Not yet, though. She might as well -attempt- to make herself a bit more useful before revealing to the grouchy chicoon that she was, in fact, not a maintenance worker and had absolutely zero experience in mechanics or engineering. Enter kind of figured that would only make his mood worse, and she decided it was probably for the best not to push her luck on that unless needed right now.

Instead, she offered him a polite smile before heading back to where she had previously taken off the panel. She was careful not to step on any of the wonton, wayward screws and bolts that she had accidentally scattered across the area on her way over. In fact, she did her best to pick a few up to return to the bucket she was borrowing. Better to tidy things up, she figured.

It was only once things were clean again that she began to look inside the wiring of the behemoth of a ride. She wasn’t entirely sure what she was looking for! Like. At all. This did cause her to worry a tiny bit, but she remained calm. The last thing she wanted to do was look like she had no idea what she was doi--

“That’s the wrong panel for the power supply,” Ripsaw sighed heavily, calling out across the way. Oh. It did look that blatantly obvious, huh. Enter would blink a few times, her head snapping back toward the grouch. Maybe if she just asked...?
“Erm…r-right, and I could find that…”

RIpsaw stared her down for a good, long moment before motioning to the clearly labeled panel stating ‘WARNING: HIGH VOLTAGE’. Oh. That’d…that’d do it, yeah. She wasn’t sure if he was going to tell that other chicoon that she was a fraud, or what, but she figured she could still try to help in the meanwhile. He didn’t seem too thrilled in general about the ride being out of order, so continuing to sour his mood with her inexperience seemed unwise..but maybe that optimism would help.

She’d pick up the bucket in her mouth and move over to the correct panel this time, opening it up-- and this time, being twice as cautious with poking her head around. She figured that if she just untwisted a couple of wires, something just might work after all. Who knows, really? Though, she miiiight want to remember to plug the whole ride back in once she finished if she wanted to have any hope of this actually working to begin with.
