One of my favourites (and a story idea!) is a trio of friends are transferred to an air ship for work, and 2 members of the trio + most of the ship get brainwashed. the MC meets Valarian and his friend, and they try to stop it. it's revealed Valarian's friend and a small team of others are behind it! those are the bare bones details, but it was really interesting!

The common avoided the prince's searches for him, because he was really shy and nervous about how the prince would react. I don't get much farther than them meeting up, but the prince always fell head over heels for him^^

You sat by the stall for a long time. A whole day passed you by, other people enjoying the festival bustling around you, but the small storkie with the shock of magenta hair didn't show up. You began to grow impatient waiting. However, at sundown, just as you were about to leave, you saw a distinguished spark of fuchsia and teal rushing through the crowd. Viva skidded to a stop in front of you, hair and fur tousled, piercings sticking in odd directions. The poor kitten looked dead on her feet. "I'm so sorry!" She mewed apologetically as she began to set up. "I was having so much fun hearing about all of your dreams that I went to bed excited to have my own, and I overslept! I overslept a really long time!" You tell her it's okay, and she sighs in relief, happily taking the lid off her barrel and offering it to you.
