Zarina started preparing a few hours early. She made sure her camera
had enough space to take hundreds, if not thousands, of photos. The
worst feeling in the world was running out of space, and not being able
to capture every memory. She also made sure to charge her camera,
because no one wants to have their camera run out of battery right
before the click.

After packing up her tripod and other essentials, she allowed herself a
little time to get fancy. She didn't need to dress up, but she had a love
for fashion. She applied gold eye shadow, and threw on her favorite black
and gold scarf. She didn't bother with her hair - she liked it loose.

She left early. She'd never been into arriving "fashionably late". She was a
photographer, and that meant she had to set up before the party started.
The hall was stunning. The first she noticed was a magnificent crystal
chandelier. Underneath it was a long table bearing appetizers of all sorts.
At the end of the table was a dance floor, all set for partners.

She walked around, noting where she'd have the best lighting. She'd just
finished her inspection when the guests began to arrive. They were dressed
to impress, with their sparkling accessories and dashing ties. Some stood
around making conversation, while others headed straight to the dance
floor. Now, with the party in full swing, began her favorite part.

She walked around the hall, picking out the best scenes. A group of friends
laughing, or two lovers dancing. They barely noticed her, too busy having fun.
She liked it that way. She was the observer, capturing the memories so that
they could live on.

The night progressed, and so did her photos. She made sure they got the
authentic mood, rather than looking fake and posed. She would edit them,
of course, but only to bring attention to what was already there. She didn't
approve of Photoshop, or anything similar.

That night she left with hundreds of photos. Looking them over, she smiled.
