Friendship is pointless if those friends aren’t malleable, gullible, trusting. People who trust her with their secrets, believe her when she says ‘I won’t tell anyone. I promise.’ People who she can easily change to suit her own needs and plans. Innocence and trust are perhaps the traits she loves the most in a ‘friend’, as who else would be so willing to throw all their belongings into her lap, and think nothing more of it?

True, these aren’t honest friendships, but her only friend is power, and for that, she needed no one.

what do they value most in a friendship?:
Hester enjoys the company of people who don't find silences awkward are perfectly happy to sit in a room together but do own separate things. At the same time though, a friendship where when wanted you could sit and talk into the late hours of the night. As a general rule, Hester won't bother speaking if she doesn't feel she has anything useful to contribute and also gives anyone that wants to get close to her a hard time to see if they will fight for it, so in a friendship Hester really values perseverance to make it work.

what do they value most in a friendship?: Lena values compassion and empathy over anything in her friendships. It can be hard for her to keep friends sometimes, because she cares so deeply about her friends that sometimes they see her as being overly protective or nosey, when really she just wants them to be happy. Emotions hit her hard, and she needs a lot of time to recover. Luckily, some of her closest friends are as caring and sensitive as her, and rush to cheer her up on a bad day, knowing how big her heart is, and desperately wanting to show her the same love.
