Nestled between a skyscraper and a popular cafe, deep
within a dimly lit, narrow alleyway, lies Perenelle's
Genuine Antiques, run by Perenelle herself. The shop,
understandably, doesn't get much business. Usually
just the occasional lost tourist or especially curious
antique collector wanders into the store, explores
for a bit, and then leaves. Very rarely, however,
some dedicated paranormal investigator or
fascinated magic enthusiast discovers Perenelle's
little hole in the wall. Not many can uncover each
of the antiques' true worth, but if they do, the
little, old, run-down antiques shop becomes a
magical wonderland. Vases infused with
preservative magic that prevent flowers from ever
wilting, rocking chairs that sway gently as soon
as someone sits down in them, mirrors that
reflect the viewer's true self, and more all line
the rickety shelves. When asked if it is she who
produces the magic, Perenelle will simply shake
her head and reply, "I only sell antiques." Other
questions regarding the magic of her shop lead
to similar, vague answers. Attempts at
conversation are also likely to fail, as
Perenelle only nods, humming softly
with her head buried in a book filled with
curious symbols. She will gladly help any
customer with their purchases, silently taking
their desired items in exchange and wrapping
them each in paper before returning them in
exchange for any sort of charm, bauble, or trinket.
Previous payments hang or sit on a wide shelf
behind her, underneath a prismatic painting.
She welcomes customers to take a business card,
which only describes the address of her shop with
a scratch and sniff sticker on the back that smells
something like cotton and lavender.
