Username:CreditName:KumikoGender:FemalePicture:Linked for SizePlace and why: Peace. Serenity. To become one with nature. It all provides an escape route towards the harshness of reality. Kumiko truly cherishes the peace and quiet found within the garden of orange trees. The sweet smell of citrus tends to relax and relieve her of the daily stresses she faces.
She calls it her “Mira Mesa” as she views it as if it were paradise. She’s rather connected to the place, not only in spirit, but in the physical body as well. She was the one who cleansed the place, as it was originally an abandoned wait area near a small hotel that broke down. Rebuilding the area helped to rebuild herself as a piece of her was found within the garden.
Most days she sits and writes poetry to embody the beauty before her eyes, as most days it’s rather hard to see true beauty while the world zooms by. It’s a calm, tranquil place to take in nature at her own pace.

Place and why: The Church Under the Stars, as Casper lovingly dubbed the small, stone church on the hill, was where Casper had made his home. It was long abandoned, stones crumbling and spiders creeping, but there was an odd charm about it that gave Casper chills. It was beautiful, and it's lack of a ceiling allowed Casper to always view the stars before nodding off to sleep. It was his safe place, where none could hurt him, and it could be just himself and the silence.

Place and why:
Gingera's favorite place is down a beautiful mountainside, straight into the underbelly of the beast. This valley is the home of one of the most beautiful waterfalls known to man. Everyday, she makes a trip down to sit by the waterfall so that she may meditate all her troubles away. No one will every really understand why this is so important to her, but nothing will ever come between her and the fall.

place and why: for the warm glow of the lanterns that line the streets, for the vendors and performers with all of their games and food, for those dressed so beautifully in their kimono and yukata— it's not hard to imagine how this kalon has been charmed by the yearly tanabata festival.
the festival celebrates the story of two star-crossed deities, deeply in love with one another, but separated by the king of the heavens. the two deities were turned into stars, placed on opposite sides of the galaxy to keep them apart from one another. for one night per year, the two traverse all the way across the cosmos to meet one another— on the night of tanabata.
while this kalon has never experienced a love so strong as the two deities have, they think they might like to, one day. until then, when they bring their own true love to the festival, they'll stick to celebrating with the rest of the crowd.

Ah yes! The zen gardens they knew and loved. Early
mornings in the company of the little crickets,
rejoicing in the ambience they had so skilfully crafted
with their songs. Lanterns, glowing with the liquid honey
poured into them, embroidered the skyline in which
the sun arose, the grand golden ring whom had granted
Kalon-kind with all of life's tools; and of course, great
food from the harvest. Tea-set perfectly laid out before
them, each fine cup gently steaming, a world of their
own, just like mist swirling and cloaking low mountains,
the snuggly-cuddly blanket of clouds, which could be
compared to the pillows that sheltered their bedside.
______ couldn't help but ponder what brew they would
indulge in that blissful day, in that care-free and delightful atmosphere. It felt homely indeed. Storks would settle in
by the lakeside, to dip their heads and bow in greeting to ______. The sky was of soft copper and bronze, the water
running silver. They would remember the familiar warmth
of light trickling down his fur.
