Name:: Sorren Rayne
Personality:: Sorren, the thief extraordinaire - well, at least by his own definition. Sorren was a street kid that always grew up fascinated by the fancier things in life. When he was young he was a member of a local trouble-making gang, known far and wide - again
by his own words - for his agile skills and fast fingers. He's a decent thief, this is forsure, but he's no where near the 'best in the business'. Most of the crimes that he has pulled off in the past are rather low-key or local stunts, though he is constantly testing the boundaries of what he can get away with, very much to other's dismay.
Sorren is most talented not when it comes to thievery, but actually when it comes to acting. He is great at impersonating others as well as keeping up a persona for a whole night without once cracking. He has used this skill to gain entry way into the circle of the upper class under the name 'Rayne' and carries with him a false back-story filled with misadventures. His true identity as the somewhat notable thief, of course has yet to be revealed, and he prides himself on his ability to keep up an act.
Sorren, while he may put on airs and have a bit of a big ego, is by no means a fool and underneath it all is well aware that he has a ways to go and that what he does certainly poses a danger to himself. But he has learned, somewhat from all of the acting that he does, that making yourself believe you are the master at something will erase you of worries and anxieties when it comes to performing a task. Sorren usually sets his sights on jobs that benefit himself, however, so he's not chivalrous.
Sorren is an all around very up-tempo sort of guy, with his trademark expression being a playful grin or a cocky sneer. He tries not to let himself get down on too many things and takes life in general with a grain of salt. He comes from a rather rough and poor background since he was thrown out on the street at a young age as his parents couldn't support him, so he has learned to make the best of a bad
situation and love the little things. This doesn't stop him from being a glory hog or a thief craving riches, though, he's still pretty much both of those things. He is however very charismatic and has a tendency to draw others in with his words and his charm, which does help when he's trying to pose as the dignified Rayne.
While Sorren may seem like someone who pretty much has it all together he is actually rather paranoid behind the scenes. He's terrified that one day he'll get caught, or worse, killed, and thus he has stuck to rather small jobs for the most part out of fear. He doesn't want the spotlight of some 'renowned' thief even if he acts like he is one, because he's not ready to accept the dangerous reality it comes with. Sorren is still rather young so he doesn't really think too much about his future. When asked he merely says 'I'll make do somehow' and leaves it at that. He puts on airs but he doesn't really have those 'big dreams' that many thieves do, and that isn't out of a lack of ambition, but rather out of fear. He has no one he can voice this to which only makes it worse.
