why?:

snap. the last strip of tape released its captor. cricket brought himself to
his feet and limped outside. breathing in the sharp cold air, he pulled his
scarf tighter around his neck and started off. as he walked down the empty
street, cricket contemplated whether he should stop for the night and sleep
or keep going. he swished his tail every so often to make sure there wasn't
any obstacles for him to bump into. with the sense of sight gone, cricket
mainly relied on scent and touch. limping gently to make sure his broken paw
didn't come un-set, he sucked it up and decided to cover some more ground
before throwing in the towel.
the night just grew colder and colder. judging by the cheesy 'welcome to L'Enfant!'
welcome signs all around, cricket guessed he had crossed over into the L'Enf
ant district. [he read by feeling out the letters with his paws on the signs.]
strolling through the streets, he searched desperately for shelter. suddenly,
he bumped into a large structure. the flame of hope inside his battered body
re-lit itself and he swished his tail to find the door. stepping inside, he shivered.
all at once cricket collapsed onto the floor after finding a dirty mattress to
lay on. he licked his injured paw and rested his read on the floor. the soft moonlight
shining through the small window above him felt cool on his matted pelt. This,
was cricket's new home.

Yuri is a scientist and the world is just one big experiment to him. He analyzes every tin detail of every aspect which leaves him emotionally and physically exhausted at the end of each day. He's a bit isolated from others as most find him very awkward and practically unable to discuss anything besides his experiments. But Yuri isn't cold hearted as he may seems, he works hard to developed a way to fix all problems in creatures with vaccinations and antibiotics. Yuri is a injured soul; with the loss of the love of his life. She was the only girl who stuck by him despite teasing and awkward glances, after she passed away Yuri refused to accept her death. To him death can be overcome with science and he works hard to do that. Perhaps one day he will come to terms with his grief and stop burring himself in his work.

Favourite location and why:
Nuca Kola Factory. Its a perfect place to go for some quite, except for the occasional spooky creaking sounds of the floor. Its isolated and allows Yuri to conduct his scientific experiments away from others who may be put in danger and in a controlled area. Its a spooky place but Yuri's papers state that ghosts are physically impossible unless of course you've developed a quantum generator...he's still working on understanding the quantum realm himself. But a goal for him is to one day develop a quantum generator and bring back the love of his life who passed away.

honestly, renat is much too kind and caring considering that he was born into a post-apocalyptic world. they
are very gullible and would trust a complete stranger with their life without hesitation. they're exceptionally
generous with their attention and supplies and love to share them. renat's very in-tune with their surroundings
at all times and is usually aware of what's going on around them, despite being blind. this kalon's also intelligent
and takes great interest in conducting scientific experiments, but absolutely loathes those who abuse the power
of science to cause others harm, or those who use it for other selfish reasons. science should save, not kill again.

Favourite location and why:
med-tek research [fallout 4]

one would assume that renat's favourite place would be the only one they ever got to see before going blind: the crater of atom in the glowing sea.
and while this is at least partially true, with the glowing radioactive aura above the crater being forever burned into their memory, they have long since moved one from their original home and found a new one in the med-tek research facility. sure, the ghouls were a real pain at first and it proved to be difficult to cleanse the place of the seemingly never ending hoard (and the synths that would occasionally show up), but with them gone, renat couldn't be happier to have found this place.

with all of the gear that was left behind, ranging from simple medical tools to complicated "high-tech" machinery, the facility turned out to be the perfect location for renat to combine living and the work they are passionate about. they are usually left alone to do as they please, conducting experiments and researching various things while trying to fix broken machines on the side (and desperately hoping that the brotherhood of steel never finds the place to wreck everything they put so much effort into repairing).
