My heart is breaking, but I'm dropping out. ;^;
I completely lost my connection to the character I had in mind.
I'm very sad to discard my progress on the game I was building, but on the other hand I learned ALOT about how to make a visual novel, and I hope I can use the skill in the future! ;w;

The art assets I had done for my game will be polished up and gifted to the winner!

Ideas;;

Don't read if you don't want to spoil important parts of the game!!

- Is a Siren
- trapped in a deep saltwater lagoon on a tropical island
- lagoon is very hidden, but on occasion kalons stumble across it.
- He knows many languages.
- he is very expressive, and his emotes are very dramatic
- is very good at mimicking sounds.
- has a beautiful voice, that may or may not have magical properties. (I haven't decided yet)
- all sea life is drawn to him.
- "The kiss of life" may be a thing that he can do to save someone who is drowning. It's not magic, just sharing oxygen. ;0
- has one or two brave visitors who come by regularly to talk to him and bring him stuff to eat.
- he likes to listen to them talk. And splash them.
- doesn't let just anyone go swimming in his lagoon, but if he likes you enough he might let you dip your legs in the water.
- very Possessive of his collection of "treasures" which is mostly just shiny trash. If he REALLY likes you he might present you with one of his favorite "treasures".
- goes absolutely head over [strike]heels fins for sweets. Especially chocolate, He can't get enough of the stuff.
- he misses the sea, but the idea of going back makes him nervous.
- Living in the lagoon feels like living in a puddle to him, not enough space.
- Can somewhat drag himself around on shore, but it's not very effective and he dries out really fast.
- mostly hides underwater during the day, as the sun is too bright in the lagoon for a deep-sea creature like himself.

Story stuff;; ????

- Sirens like himself are usually solitary creatures who live deep, deep underwater.
- each siren's voice is different, and has it's own unique power.
- pretty much fend for themselves from birth.
- diet is mostly fish, but they can survive on kelp and other plants too.
-
- was just a kit when he swam too close to the surface and got humself caught in a net.
- messed up his fins real bad struggling to escape. Got a gash on his throat (that left a scar he covers with the necklace!)
- when the fisherman pulled up the net, they nearly fell into the ocean in shock. Not everyday you catch a somebody in your net!
- Llŷr was super scared, at the time he couldn't understand landweller language, and he had heard stories from other sirens about the atrocities committed by landwellers.
- But they just took him back to shore, untangled him from the net, and patched him up in their bathtub.
- Llŷr quickly grew attached to the fisherman and their family. He picked up on the language naturally, (he still gets some words mixed up though!).
- when his fins had finally healed, Llŷr refused to leave the bathtub. Overtime he began to grow very sick due to living in such a tiny space. The fisherman was afraid to just put him back into the ocean, worried that he would not survive. Tentatively, the fisherman's youngest offered her "secret place" which was the lagoon. Llŷr quickly recovered in the natural Saltwater lagoon, but again, refused to leave. He has been there ever since. The Fisherman and his wife died long ago, but their grandson visits often.
- he is scared to leave the lagoon, because he does not want to go back to the lonely, meaningless life he once lived. He does long for more, and may or may not be convinced by the player to leave his lagoon depending on their choices.
- canonly he ends up leaving the lagoon behind to follow someone special (hehe <3). He often returns to visit the island though, and enjoys revealing himself to the tourists just to cause a stir. He never travels alone, usually following pods of dolphins or boats. He fears being alone in the deep ocean.

Flim is amazing at
