Time is the only thing in this world we truly have. Outside a name, time is one of our only possessions... and when we run out? We're done. Recon believes the greatest crime one can commit is to waste time-- as you've only so much to begin with. Their most cherished possession helps them with this. A silver pocketwatch that they keep with them at all times saves them the liberty of frantically searching for any old clock. They attained it on one of their 'missions' an they refuse to talk about the details, insisting their work isn't anything of fascination nor worth talking about-- though truly they're a bit uncomfortable with the circumstance. They were investigating their lineage, which led them to a large abandoned mansion-- or so they thought. They carry the pocketwatch as a reminder of who they were, their past and their old life, though they also view it as a key piece of moving forward. They do not ignore their past, rather, they didn't know it with all clarity until recently-- they chose to accept both past and future as a part of the expanse of time that their pocketwatch helps them monitor. They overall cherish their timepiece and see it as their greatest asset in this world because it helps them use all their time to the very best and fullest of their ability-- so they never waste a second of the beautiful life they've been given.
The One Allowed Extra ;;
A thin slip of dappled parchment would sit neatly on the small, wooden end table. Soft handwriting danced out onto the page. "Diary, today I think I have made a friend? Alice runs a knick-knack shop-- Witches And Stitches. I enjoy her presence, it is... mysterious. That mystery is intriguing to me, and by her eyes it seems she has much to tell. I wish to visit the store more often, as she is quite tied to it for obvious reason. Hopefully I will get to know her better soon-- few are willing to tolerate me... but it seems promising!"
