short story:
The rhythmic sounds of the sea were a source of calm to Bronte. It was a new day- the bitter
breeze that sang from the ocean never failed to make her feel alive, and to make her look forward
to a new day. It was mornings like this that made her truly appreciate
where her path of life had brought her- a beautiful, ocean-side town, where she worked
tirelessly as a second-in-command chef for a prestigious marina restaurant. Bronte inhaled deeply,
the tang of salt filling her nose and setting a smile on her face to brace herself for the
work that she adored.
As the day wore on, and the crowds filed in to feast on the food that her and the rest of the
co-workers poured their creativity and hearts into, the smile on her face never faltered.
She swept through the marble-floored restaurant on a regular basis, smiling at customers
and cheerfully inquiring about the enjoyment of their food. Throughout all this, bronte was waiting.
waiting for her favourite part of the day; the part of the day where she got to cater to children, and teach
them her skills and love of cooking. The short-haired girl let a wide grin split her face as she slipped back into
the ever-busy kitchen, perfecting dishes and garnishing meals as she went. The grandeur of the
huge- and, no doubt, incredibly expensive- restaurant kitchen left many a new employee in awe.
Marble pillars lined the stainless steel work benches and immaculately kept industrial grills,
ovens, and the like. The scent of tantalizingly delicious food was omnipresent in the entire restaurant
and even into the street- the owner of the restaurant, Jupiter, had always told her that the smell
of food warms the soul and draws one in to try. Bronte, herself, was a firm believer in this idea, as
the people walking in the door always had their noses in the air. Bronte fondly recollected her first
experience with the restaurant; she had been searching all over for somewhere to work, yet they all
seemed to fall short and not appeal to her aspirations, until The Marina. The Marina had an inexplicable
force that had made her enter, and stay until now. Although she adored The Marina, she felt a desire to
lead her own restaurant, make her own inventions, and, most importantly, follow her aspirations of teaching
people how to adore cooking as much as she.

name.
Trevon - 'fair town'
gender.
Cisgender male.
orientation.
Pansexual. Gender doesn't matter.
personality.
- in-your-face and loud.
"My name is Trevon. I'm the greatest oceanographer who ever lived!"
- stubborn. insists that he is right even when knowing he isn't.
"Yeah, but... well... how much do you know, anyway? I'm the scientist here."
- protective of his friends.
"You take one more step towards my friends and I'll make you regret every bad thing you've ever done!"
- very intelligent, but completely lacks common sense.
"Oh, man, something tells me I shouldn't have done that."
- flashy and a show-off.
"We haven't met before? Well, today is your lucky day!"
group c.
"We're not Group C because we're third best, we're Group C because... Sea? C? Get it?"
Group C - a group of scientists working on the subject of the ocean that surrounds their town, fondly dubbed the 'mystersea' by locals for the strange and unusual things that always seem to occur there. Most suspect paranormal activity; indeed, the things that happen do seem to be the product of a mysterious deity exercising its powers or a mage or wizard of some sort placing a hex on all those who sail into its shining waters. However many people may believe this, Trevon strongly feels otherwise, and seeks to prove that it's not magic, as well as solve the mystery of the mystersea once and for all.
In order to do this, Trevon needed help - not only help from others like him, but help from those who excel in the study of paranormal activity and mythical occurrences. As one would expect, due to his infamous ability to see that just about any plan crashes and burns, Trevon only got one member for his group. The member, a female plumerian named Lepidi who spends her time studying odd things, found herself growing close to Trevon, with him feeling likewise. In all likelihood, they'll stay friends long after the mystery has been solved and Group C has been disbanded.
oceanography.
Ever since he was just a child, Trevon has harboured an undying love for the ocean and all its wonders to match no others. Growing up only a few minutes from the beach, Trevon would make sure to visit every day, playing in the tide and frolicking in the deeper waters that only he dared to swim in on stormy days. He would convince his friends to visit the beach with him - indeed, with his natural charisma, it wasn't difficult - and kindle their love of water, teaching them everything he knew about the ocean. Of course, having such an extensive knowledge of the ocean as well as a passionate love for it led him down the path towards a job as an oceanographer; to this day, he works tirelessly as a scientist studying the deep, and has no mind to stop any day soon.
jellyfish.
"H-help... mum...!"
Trevon sat on the stone doorstep of his house, tears rolling down his face as he cradled his front left paw to his chest. On his paw, a bright red mark had swollen up. Trevon swallowed loudly and cried out for help once more, his voice wavering.
As his mother opened the door, Trevon fell into her and embraced her, sobbing loudly. "A... a jellyfish g-got me. I didn't s-see it until my paw started h-hurtin' real bad... and... and... I'm worried!" His mother, rubbing circles on his back as she took him indoors, explained that the jellyfish living in the ocean by their home were practically harmless, and that he would be fine in a week or two. Trevon, sniffing through every word she spoke, stopped crying as his fear gradually faded. "So... jellyfish are just bein' protective, like knights and guards? They don't want me to hurt 'em or their families?" Trevon smiled for the first time that day. "How brave of 'em."

Name: Cynstro
Gender: Male
Cynstro is a very artistic being,
loving to paint anything
and everything.
His sketchbook
goes everywhere with him,
and he can sometimes
stop to draw something
even in the middle
of a rushed errand.
His attention is very
fleeting,
and he can forget
what he meant
to be getting
no matter
how long ago
he was asked,
even a few seconds.
He really
means well
for everyone,
and has a forgiving heart.
This boy grew up
with a loving family,
but in a
troubled neighborhood.
His parents never
hit him or screamed,
but he
couldn't say much
for those who
lived around him.
He went to school
each day,
knowing one
of his classmates
would always
have another
bruise on their side,
or a soft spot
on their leg,
and he wished
he could help them
escape from
their horrid homes.

I have been aboard my own boat, the SS Icarus for several days now.
I do not keep track of time any longer, I find it a distraction that I no longer need.
It is just me and the sea.
I am a native of East London, a "cockney", as you might say. I certaintly do have the accent. I grew up as an only child with a single mother who could barely support the two of us. She did give me plenty of tales of my father, who, according to her, left us because " 'e loved the sea more than 'is own wife." Well, she's now "lost" two people to the sea. I don't blame my father for leaving...my mother is a terror, and I'll leave it at that.
I mostly raised myself, working odd jobs or swimming in the ocean during my free time. Social skills have never come easily to me, and I've been an outcast for most of my life. I'm described as irritable, rude, brash, anticosocial, and even stupid. I was never very good at school, although writing was a passion of mine. My life has not been easy, but that's a story for another day.
I eventually saved up more than enough money to buy this houseboat, along with my own personal submarine. My two ladies are beautiful, and they take to the ocean gracefully. Although I plan to spend most of my life on these boats sailing around the world, I do have to make stops every once and a while on land if I'm in need of anything you can't get from the sea. I also plan to try and protect my ocean, like cleaning up debree, taking injured animals from oil spills to santuaries, and sabotaging illegal fishing. This has been my lifelong dream, and I'm finally living it.

---ahh, I was not able to finish everything I wanted to completely in time, but I tried. Winner may have my art!
