Rini is the sweetest little thing you'll ever meet. His natural reaction is to be kind to anyone and everyone, no matter who they happen to be. If someone is mean or hostile to another, he will politely call them out on it. If they continue to use disruptive actions, Rini will increasingly get more assertive until he's made his point clear. He's very loving and is constantly longing for a friend to care for. He's a very logical kid, and always thinks through everything thoroughly before taking action. Because of this, he's often reliable and people don't usually doubt his feelings and opinions, as they know that he's worked it out beforehand. Logic is also a skill Rini uses often in his academic career, which is consistently strong and exponentially growing. Although an academically gifted student, Rini doesn't care for certain sectors of his schooling, primarily math. Ironically, math is his strongest skill, but he has always owned a strong disliking to it. Instead, he prefers things such as history and science, where the content is always changing rather than staying the same. He loves to explore, discover, and learn; some of his favorite things to do! However, as a result of being a mathematical genius, his peers often see Rini as a stereotypical nerd. This is why his fellow classmates and friends get confused when they discover that Rini is into things like rock and roll and a grunge-like clothing style. Rini is fairly self-conscious about himself and wishes that he'd make his personality clear enough from the beginning so that people don't get any wrong ideas about him, but in the end, he wouldn't change a thing about himself.

Relationships
Father: Rini looks up to his father like a hero. He feels safe around Jarvis, as if absolutely nothing in the world could go wrong in his presence. He is always upset when his dad leaves for a work trip, but tries to be as understanding as he can. At many given opportunities, Rini will be found hanging out with his father.
Mum: Rini loves being with his mother, because she always brings a smile to his face. He admires everything about her, from her excellent gift for culinary arts to her cheery personality. He also shares her interest in comics, so he loves to be as nerdy as possible around her.9 - 24 -15I'm seeing no difference in my subject, the wild field mouse. He seems to take no interest in most of the food I give him, although he is quite the fan of chicken alfredo (vegetarian, of course). That was an accidental trial, however. I happened to be eating some the night I found him, and some of the stuff may or may not have fell on the table (not my fault) for the little bugger to eat. Otherwise, the mouse just sleeps, his only sign of life the occasional twitch. He seems to have made himself quite at home in my room. Although it was my initial intention to run humane tests on this field mouse, Mom and Dad agreed to let me have him as a pet, so long as I take him to the vet to check for diseases. His name will be Alfredo, as it is the most convenient and effortless name I can think for him. This is all, I will file a report on his sleeping habits shortly.Rini wrote:"I may never reach those beautiful stars in the night sky. I cannot touch them, or know what it's like to be in their orbit. But when I see them staring at me in nighttime, I realize that borders have no meaning. I am with them, even though I may be light-years away."

The stars are my passion. They amaze me in so many ways... Why, if one just looks at them, they might be seeing something that doesn't exist. Many stars that are visible from our Earth right now are already millions of years dead- brilliant! I always wonder, though, what lies beyond our sight, what lies beyond the current border of the observable universe? There has to be something, yes? Okay, I'll leave that question unanswered for now, but how about another. Could there really be another planet out there that's as livable as Earth? Eventually, the answer to that wonderment will be so direly necessary to the survival of all of Earth's living organisms that whoever is to reveal the answer will go down as legend... Maybe my head is just lost in unreachable clouds, but what if I was to help gain incite to these answers, the answers that seem as far away from us as the stars themselves? This is why I plan to be an astronomer, to study the fascinating abyss of space until it reveals its secrets to me.

Alfredo's "Mistake"Rini poked Alfredo to make sure he was still alive, something that was hard to determine from a first glance. He grunted as the fragile little thing twitched and took a deep breath, sinking back into its little felt bed on Rini's bedroom counter. "Come on, back in your cage you go..." he picked up the small thing, suddenly alert and madly protesting at the relocation. Rini gasped as Alfredo bit his finger, but tried not to flinch too much. A drop from this height could well mean doom for a field mouse. He ignored the blood, shoving the pet into his cage.
Rini tried to remind himself that the "poor" thing had to go through three vet appointments, for sympathy for the bugger. The vet insisted that he contained no active disease, which was a shock because he seemed to have some type of issue with his brain. He was too human behavior-wise to really be considered a mouse. Too cocky and stubborn.
"Rini, come down here!" Alice called.
"In a bit, mum!"
"No, now, Rini! There's something on the news I think you'd like,"
Rini sighed. "Well, all right then!" he rushed downstairs, either not remembering or just not bothering to close the mouse's cage door. His mother was sitting on the couch, tv remote in hand. His father had bags under his eyes and was loudly snoring under the shelter of a hand-sewn quilt. He had just come back from a business trip, and had gotten barely three hours of sleep in the last day. Rini couldn't blame him. He focused his attention on the television screen. A news reporter with a spiffy tie and official-looking hat stood outside of the NASA building. He jabbered on about a new development in the upcoming mission to send a man to mars. Rini's eyes lit up, and fuming with curiosity, he watched the whole fifteen-minute speech. He was fascinated.
One day, he thought, heart pounding excitedly
that could be me.
After the segment was done, he thanked his mother for thinking of him and rushed back to his bedroom to check on Alfredo. The whole scene was a mess! His most recent journal of scientific observations was presently being torn to shreds, Alfredo standing on top of a page on natural selection and potential attributes of space aliens. "NOOO!" Rini moaned, fury overcoming helplessness. He shuffled behind a piece of poster-board to see if any damage had been done to his stash of materials. He squinted at an overturned tube of ferrofluid. Rini squinted. "Not a fan of magnetic liquid then?"
He angrily stomped over to Alfredo and returned him to his cage. "Fair enough, at least you didn't get to the pages about alien Punnet Squares yet. Your priorities are logical..." he was surprisingly calm. This was the third time this week that a mishap had occurred with his mouse. He hoped it would be the last.
