"I am a pilot. But I don't fly some dinky plane or helicopter. I fly a Zeppelin. I enjoy flying through the air and watching the people below me gape and stare up as the shadow passes over them. The feeling of submitting to the air currents and just getting lost in the puffy white clouds. Mm. It's like heaven. Flying a Zeppelin is probably one of the most difficult things ever. You have to concentrate on the air pressure in the ballon, the direction of the propellers, the speed of the propellers, the temperature of the air in and out of the balloon, and, the most difficult part, pay attention to the flow of the air current. Flying a Zeppelin is a science. It took me a few years before I was able to fly the Zeppelin without it bucking and rearing all over the place. Infinity refused to ride the Zeppelin until I did. By the way, Infinity is my best friend. She now flies with me whenever she can. We're a little daredevil duo, doing crazy stunts with the Zeppelin.

"Wha'dya mean where am I from? What's it to ya?" The hot air balloon pilot growled at your question. You shrug, feeling slightly offended by the plumerian's attitude. "S'rry, I meant no harm by it," she said softer. The Plumerian looked up at the flame of the hot air balloon, and mumbled, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell ya..."

Honestly, something went wrong with the timelines. One minute, Carmine is happily raiding a airship with her comrades back in the late 1800s, and the next she finds herself in 2013 in a parallel universe. Carmine says the angels have it out for her, for all of her raiding and pillaging. But, you said you were interested in her past, so the past it is.
Carmine never knew her father, and all she could remember of her mother is of her being very sick and always ill. Carmine's mother told her that her father was a rich aristocrat, and she

deserved the proper title of Carolina Diana Woodwick. Carmine's mother died when she was just barely nine, and the little plume had no where to go. Carmine looked for someone who might know her father, but with no leads to him, she was stranded and alone. Carmine's fate was twisted into those of the airship pirates, who actually enjoyed the loud mouthed little girl. Carmine was a natural at running these steampunk airships, and quickly made her way up to one of the lead pirates when she was just turning thirteen.

Back in the late 1800s where Carmine was from, she was a feared airship pirate. The ship she sailed upon was known as 'The Black Plague', and the crew soared through the air in the bellies of these magnificent machines. They would ram into other airships, and hot air balloons, either forcing them to allow the pirates to board or send them crashing down. Back in the day, Carmine took great pleasure in stealing from the poor saps, but looking back on these memories makes her guilty.

In present time, Carmine is a hot air balloon pilot, who is hired for fairs, parties, ect. Carmine finds it very peaceful and relaxing, but always keeps a look out for anyone who might ram into them.

Carmine is very gruff, and doesn't mind telling others what she thinks of them. She is extremely hot headed at times, and it takes a lot of effort to calm her down. Carmine isn't all bad though, she is fiercely loyal to those she has befriended, and absolutely loves helping out with kids.

Carmine's items aren't just for show; a lot of them have meaning to her. She never takes off gemstone she wears around her neck.

Carmine's mother used to say, "If you wear a gemstone, the gem will pull out the dark parts in your heart, and make you a stronger person." Carmine used to think that the bad parts about her was her past, and how she cared about others, how it made her weak. Now, Carmine says the gemstone pulls out the evil within her, the want to cause havoc and be a pirate.
Carmine's pilot goggles were given to her when she became a true pirate aboard the black plague. They were designed to keep bugs and debris out of the Pirates eyes as the sailed, and so any slivers of wood from ships wouldn't get into her eyes.
The watch Carmine wears was once her mother's. Carmine's mother had gotten the wrist watch from Carmine's father, as a gift. When Carmine was seven, her mother gave her the wrist watch, to sell at the market. Carmine just couldn't sell the watch, and her mother agreed to let her keep it if she promised to help with making dinners.
